  1. Our Scott Brown would batter your Scott Brown.
  2. Couldn't give the slightest f**k on how unlikeable we may be for other supporters this season. I fucking love this football club.
  3. Don't see this being the last tour. Angus is so money driven that he's likely to drag the band to its 60th anniversary I reckon. Whether that's with or without Brian on vocals is another question.
  4. This is also what I heard but a few weeks ago. Never mentioned anything at the time as I didn't want to be seen to be reacting at the first sign of bad form (and hoped it to be untrue). Hopefully look forward to looking back and laughing at #laptopgate at the end of the season as we re-find our form.
  5. I didn't hear specifics on players but a few weeks ago I was told by a mate who's connected to another club in our league that there was an incident where players found out (discovered rather than spoken to) who was being released/not offered a new contract in the summer and it caused some friction between management and the squad. Given Millen's out of contract in the summer, that would line up.
  6. Listened to 80 new releases this year so far (kept in a spreadsheet to keep track like the sad b*****d I am). With the caveat that my bias/preferences lean towards alternative rock kind of stuff, my top 10 so far is: Alkaline Trio - Blood, Hair and Eyeballs Casey - How To Disappear Afterglow - Inward The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy Eliza McLamb - Going Through It Ghost Atlas - Dust of the Human Shape Being As An Ocean - Death Can Wait Infant Island - Obsidian Wreath Moving Boxes - The Things We Leave Behind Sleater-Kinney - Little Rope Fairly enjoyed discovering new artists. Hope to continue throughout the year. Afterglow and Eliza McLamb being the two most enjoyable that I wasn't aware of prior to their albums this year - feel the latter could garner a decent following if she can get in front of the Phoebe Bridgers/boygenius crowd.
  7. I'm sure most companies that would consider buying naming rights would do it similar to EEP. So it would be "[Company Name] Starks Park. Last thing they'd want to do is anger the fanbase. I do think it is something that should be explored for easy income for the club.
  8. Signing the team that won the league last season is an excellent idea imo.
  9. His best run for us came at left wing iirc. There's a player somewhere in there but it doesn't get showcased often enough, especially playing up front. Ultimately we have better options in every position he'd be played. No ill will towards him but if we can free up his wages this window, I'd definitely be letting him go.
  10. That's absolutely shite from the club, especially with the conditions and distance Arbroath will be travelling.
  11. I may be wrong but I believe there are rules prohibiting clubs from streaming the Scottish Cup due to the broadcasting agreement so likely no video available anywhere.
  12. Not just that we were oblivious to the obvious benefits. It was also all our fault for not funding the academy. What a shambles Eric Drysdale was.
  13. Believe he was released after a season with no appearances. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs-hand-trial-to-goalkeeper-ross-laidlaw-617985 I don't think he was mishandled either, when he was given games he was nowhere near the level of those in front of him and goalkeeper is a tricky position to let players develop in.
  14. Not fully answering your question as I highly doubt many people regret it but Ross Laidlaw has made a Premiership career for himself which surprised me.
  15. If Ashcroft or a defender of his calibre becomes available, we should be thanking Masson for his service and wishing him well in the future. He put in a few solid performances, equally looked dodgy in a few. I don't wish the boy any ill will but I doubt he'll ever be a Championship level defender, never mind a Premiership one as we aspire to be as a club. Once we get someone in, I suspect Arnott will be away to League 2 or the Lowland/Highland Leagues.
  16. This is spot on. Internal discussions will be very different to what is said publicly, in particular when it comes to transfers.
  17. Was a reason ever given for Bowyer not taking the Queens Park job? He seemed to be a frontrunner at one point.
  18. Perhaps taking the moniker of Honest Men a bit too seriously. Single-club groups/forums are always an experience, at least someone had the common sense to make it a private group.
  19. Excellent video from our media team as always. There's zero doubt in my mind Lewis would have been capped by Scotland if it wasn't for his injuries. Even after injuries, he's still too good for this league. It's likely his track record will put off most teams from enquiring about him but that's fully to our favour and I'm delighted to see him at Starks Park for at least the next couple years.
  20. He wasn't punted, his contract expired. He was in their starting lineup vs us the next week. I'm sure they'd have loved to have kept him going by accounts from supporters on here but seems he has his eye on full-time football.
