Well that today was back to earth with a bump. Good show against Aberdeen but league wise so far we look mid table fodder, still can't score from open play. Smart money would be on a thorough pumping on Friday night.

Putting Meekings on is just asking for it, and McGowan wafting his right foot like an old kipper at the chance he should have taken with his left sums up what he has to offer these days. Should have been well ahead at half time but yet again couldn't score from open play. Nobody to blame but ourselves.

Having watched 2 teams in their away kits last week and looked like the same thing last night at Firhill, might we actually see 2 teams in recognisable colours today? (Even though the blue is pish Scotland blue and not Dundee dark blue.)

I've been watching that happen for ever. Peterhead harried is all over the park, and to me looked fitter, although that could just be that they looked like they could be more arsed than our pop stars. Again something that has been a prevalent character in Dundee teams for a long, long time. And that blue is all wrong.

Everybody hates Bain obviously but when he first came in and replaced Letheren it was the most impressed I'd been with anyone since Rab started. I seem to recall one of the things that marked him out was the willingness to come off his line. That drifted out of his game, and if course the rest as they say is history.
