  1. Hmmm. Where to start? Seeking investment from Interpol's most wanted. Begging for operating capital to get you through the next couple of weeks. Voting to boycott games (after buying season tickets). Managed by a mercenary, money grabber. Board pursuing multiple, competing agendas. Sold (gave away) your club shops. Attendances below break even. Sold the naming rights to your ground for a pound. Only 2 home league games between now and the end of October. (Some) fans actively campaigning for the removal of members of the board. I wouldn't say you were on the up quite yet...but you may soon get to a point where the only way is up. Or it could mean another untimely death in The Rangers family of clubs.
  2. Rangers creditors got funk all. Pars creditors got funk all. Rangers got liquidated. Pars exited administration. Rangers assets got bought by asset stripping spivs who milked the fans for millions. Pars are a community owned club, committed to living within our means. The Rangers spunked absurd wages on average players to win lower league titles. Pars have a team full of young players that the fans are right behind. In short...Rangers died. The Pars survived. I'd prefer it if we had not adopted the same business model as Rangers (RIP) and left many local businesses to pick up the tab for our board's greed and deceit. However, I'd rather be where we are today than trying to pretend that I'm not financing a massive, ongoing, fraudulent, lining of spiv pockets every week.
  3. On another note... http://spfl.co.uk/reserve-and-youth/development-league/development-league-table/ Interesting to see The Rangers bottom of the SPFL Development League. Not much to fall back on if the Administrators make cuts in the first team. Slightly embarrassed to see the Pars down their with them, but all of our kids are in the first team, because we made cuts and survived administration, rather than being liquidated.
  4. Crowd of 18,000 against Hibs. Basically season tickets only then. Did they make money or lose it?
  5. Does this Ventura County Fusion sponsor explain why Ally wanted to play them?
  6. Based in Ventura, California, the Ventura County Fusion is a widely successful, world-class soccer franchise, and participant in the Western Conference’s Southwest Division of the Premier Development League (PDL), an official operation of United Soccer Leagues (USL). Now in its eighth year of operation, Fusion has been a trendsetter in the western US, winning two division titles, reaching the playoffs for five consecutive seasons, and claiming the PDL Championship in 2009. To be fair to Sevco they were always going to struggle against a team with that much history behind them.
  7. Don't worry. The money they get from selling Murray Park to the SFA will tide them over.
  8. Shocking that the Pars only scored on goal against The Rangers, what with us having almost our whole under 20 team out in force, bolstered by two coaches that have played less than 10 games between them all season.
  9. I think Mohsni is a wonderful player. I hope he remains at The Rangers for a very long time along with his excellent manager.
  10. From the AIM website... The Board of Rangers notes the press articles this morning and confirms that it is holding discussions with two major shareholders with a view to arranging a loan of up to £1.5m to provide working capital for the Company. So, all the IPO money has been pissed up the wall to win the 2nd Division and probably win the 1st Division (assuming that there is no insolvency event that gets in the way of that). No youth development, no building for the future, no stadium repairs. Stonking WiFi signal though.
  11. It's interesting to see a fan of The Rangers worrying about the credibility of Scottish football as a whole. I don't remember fans of the previous team that used to play at Ibrox worrying about their constant undermining of Scottish football when all they ever seemed to do was try to find somewhere else to play. Even CG knew that he could warm up the natives by talking about playing in England instead of Scotland.
  12. I am most definitely not a fan of the Daily Mail. However, it's difficult to disagree with "only the hard of thinking will not have seen it coming." from the article. Who didn't see it coming then?
  13. Another new record set today for The Rangers. The share price has dropped from the all time low of 39.99 to 39.98 to 39.97. It's like the countdown in a James Bond film. You know a massive explosion is only moments away as the evil lair is reduced to smoking rubble.
  14. Well the good news about Walter getting the gig is it probably keeps Sally safe. Guaranteed to be an entertaining season ahead. Maybe Walter will unlock the 10M warchest that he needs to get out of SFL2?
  15. I said a long time back that there's a distinction between making money for Rangers and making money from Rangers. The only source of cash is the fans. There is an opportunity now for fans to take control. Who gives a toss if the company that owns the assets that is the club or whatever goes tits up. Rangers fans ensure that there is a Rangers and that's all. I'm a Pars fan looking forward to a DAFC with fans involved in the running of the club. Rangers fans have the chance to step up and take control, instead of just stumping up the cash.
  16. Over 8 million views. Coming up on 4,000 pages. Both must be a world record, surely?
  17. OK, so total revenue was 9.5M to the end of December. Jan to May has 9 additional home games, which brings in around 1.2M in pay at the gate money. Let's be generous and project 12.5M in total revenue for the season, but there's that 1M loss per month, so the 3M of extra revenue is offset by 5M in costs. Year end cannot possibly look any better, only much, much worse. Or maybe the online subscriptions to Jabba's ramblings will make up the difference?
  18. Could of things that need some clarifying in the interim accounts. Maybe Tedi can help? Loss before non-recurring items and finance costs of £7.0m · Finance leases of £1.9m at 31 December 2012 It talks about a loss before non-recurring items and 'finance costs'. What finance costs? Also 'finance leases' at 1.9M. These don't relate to payments on (non-existent of course) debts do they?
  19. Woo Hoo. You actually paid someone. Mark this down next to administration day. it should be remembered forever.
  20. From someone who saw the books at (insert sponsor name here) stadium. “Upon full inspection, Rangers was not a ‘turnaround’ opportunity. It was (and is) an opportunity for someone with great wealth and a love of football and/or Scotland to give away tens and tens of millions of pounds. Unless some major, systemic changes occur within the current configuration of UK and European football leagues, I don’t think the Rangers math works.” Discuss
  21. Because I am not a stockbroker or an expert in finance, here is a quote from someone who is and who saw the books at (insert name here) stadium... “Upon full inspection, Rangers was not a ‘turnaround’ opportunity. It was (and is) an opportunity for someone with great wealth and a love of football and/or Scotland to give away tens and tens of millions of pounds. Unless some major, systemic changes occur within the current configuration of UK and European football leagues, I don’t think the Rangers math works.” You can tell he's American, because he says 'math'. So in the absence of 'someone with great wealth', who's putting in the money at The Rangers, except for the fans? CG wants his cash out. His mates want their cash out. Institutional investors want their cash out. Who's putting in? That'll be the fans then, as per usual.
