  1. Mackinlay's 5 Year Old Scotch Whisky 1 Litre 1980s. Bought this last year and just opened it up.

It's from Leith and was produced for the Soviet Passenger Fleet Morpasflot.  I live down about Leith and I liked the story so I bought it.

It is a bit rough on the back of the throat but the taste is lovely. It's worth a try if you are searching for a bargain at the auctions.

  2. Another weather one. It is raining outside and you are up at the window looking out and then sitting back down again. The rain stops, the clouds break and there is silence then the birds start talking to each other again. Listening to the birds have a blether is nice.

I remember when I was younger my local swimming baths had coloured bands you put on your wrist so they could tell certain groups to GTF if they had been in there too long. Starbucks need to implement this system post-haste by the sounds of it.

Hiding in the showers until your band was okay to go back in the pool.

    THAT WAS BRILLIANT!

  4. I've been off it for a while. Dry Jan and dry Feb. 10 weeks off the drink. Had a drink on Monday to watch Hearts v Morton and been having one since.

Having a few drams now. Started with a Tomintoul 10 from SMWS. Lovely, opened up last year but never thought much of it but now a couldn't put it down for a while but I moved on and opened a Balblair 11 from Cadenhead's. A sherry cask. Too sweet! Hoping it is just because it is the first drink from the bottle. Just tastes like sherry.

Going to finish off on a Balcones Rye. I love this stuff. It's like a glass of chocolate but at 69%.

    No, no, no, no, no.

Four per ST holder would mean tickets going to lassies from work folk are trying to impress, folk's uncles who have never been to a game, or just being sold on to f**k knows who. Absolutely no guarantee the tickets go to Hearts fans.

And you'd end up with loads of ST holders not getting in. Not everyone who goes to watch Hearts has lots of other mates who also do. You'd have some groups hoovering up tickets to give out to mates while some ST holders missed out. That would even happen at two each. Remember, offering even two each means some ST holders miss out if 5,500 take up the second one. You'd have ST holders and non-ST holders with good LP totals not going to the game while day-trippers who had mates with STs could get in. That would completely undermine the LP system. Even in my own extended group of mates I can think of about ten people who have barely been for years who would be texting asking for the spares.

    That won't be happening.

I reckon they should start at 5 points as that's what it dropped to last time. Lets everyone buy together rather than waiting for different stages for mates etc. But I wouldn't be surprised if it starts at 20 again. Depends how many are at each LP level, I suppose.

I was kind of thinking about how we go about bringing in new fans. This is an ideal chance to do so.

Imagine the Ultra's all getting 4 tickets each to bring their pals along. They'd add a bit to the atmosphere. The more young fans we can get in the better, some folk will miss out but we increase our fan base.

We can't increase the support while the same fans get all the tickets as usual, something has to give. I don't see the club doing it this time but maybe another time.

  6. If you give the season ticket holders the chance to buy 4 tickets each that'll be fine as most season ticket holders will only be interested in buying their own seat.

The other season ticket holders can share the tickets out. As long as Hearts fans get the tickets then that is fine.

Surely they have the appointment ready to go before Dundee, otherwise it is an odd development.

I actually think there have been signs of attacking improvements under Warnock, particularly in terms of our movement and patterns of play. Today was certainly his most complete performance. I feel like he has been a bit harshly treated by some of our fans, but I suppose that's modern football.

It's certainly been interesting, and hopefully he comes to Hampden as a fan (of us, not Rangers).

The press have been pretty hard on him as well. They will be gutted they beat their wee darling McInnes today.

I really disagree with this unfortunately. If penalises those who are fans but for whatever reason cannot commit to going every week either through circumstances or price.

I also feel it causes an issue with picking up future fans - how are kids going to get interested in being Hearts fans if it's almost impossible to go to Tynecastle?

As I've posted elsewhere, I think there should be a greater onus on ST holders who can't make it being obliged to put their ticket up on exchange or at least letting someone borrow so we don't have rakes of empty seats

If they could create un under 18's section of the ground that might help get young people in. Bottom of the Wheatfield or bottom of the main stand.

I buy a season ticket every year and would not expect to have the reason for any non attendance to be monitored and logged. If you pay for the seat it's yours to come and go as you please for that season. I still can't get my head round why Hearts won't sell tickets for available seats to their fans, as you have said happened on Sunday.

They don't want the trouble with people pretending they are Hearts fans and sitting in the Hearts end. It would be fine with most teams but some teams have fans that might cause a problem.

I think they should reduce the number of single game tickets.

I know there is more money in the single game tickets, but Hearts should look to accommodate as many Hearts fans wanting season tickets as possible.  Especially behind the goal in the Roseburn. Looked a bit shit  sitting empty on Sunday.

I don't think it is about making more money from single game tickets. Like @VincentGuerin says, not everyone can afford a season ticket.

And how many season ticket holders were there that didn't go to the game? 12 o'clock on Sunday morning is pish.
