  1. He used to but another Philpy asked him to stop and instead do a 3 point turn.
  2. Yep. It's funny if you look at it and try to take something from his performance without actually seeing the game. Sampdoria scored after 7 minutes. The goal scorer was their right midfielder and their right winger was given the assist. These are the two opponents playing in front of him so I'd guess he was maybe to take some of the blame for the goal. Two minute later he is booked. Later, two of the Bologna subs are the left winger and left midfielder, the two players playing in front of him so now, of course, he was the stand out player and his team mates were the ones that were at fault for the goal conceded. My guessing game is all rubbish but I hope to see the highlights later to prove this was the case.
  3. He was booked after 9 minutes but played the whole game today. They won 2-1.
  4. There are auction houses with multiple accounts buying up all the bottles. It's big business. It gives the SMWS high profile. I
  5. Yep. I think the problem starts when the bottles go to auction sites which are open world wide. I was reading this last week. https://malt-review.com/2020/11/12/a-royal-mile-whiskies-tomatin-port-charlotte/ I don't think SMWS are doing enough/anything to stop this going on.
  6. Big outrun tomorrow morning at SMWS. Quite a few in there to choose from. I think I'll miss it but there are some I'd love to try. Good luck to the members getting what they want. It's only quite recently I have noticed HOW BAD THE SITUATION IS WITH FLIPPERS!
  7. Drinking this Pikesville straight rye. It is spicy and has a sweet finish, it's lovely. I'm feeling quite smashed. I'll have to stop, work tomorrow.
  8. Aye, that'll be a cracker. I've been tempted a few times to buy that but not tried it yet.
  9. I had a search for the barrel proof Elijah Craig and it is a bit pricey. Settled for this 6 yrs old Pikesville rye https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/78205/pikesville-06-year-old Looking forward to it.
  10. Cheers. I'll keep an eye on them. I have been looking at the bourbons and not sure which ones are worth trying. Rittenhouse rye and Basil Hayden have been looking tempting. And Few have some options. Yep, lots to choose from. Thanks.
  11. I'm drinking this Jack Daniels single barrel whiskey. Nice stuff. £30 a bottle in the sale price. Have ordered the JD 4 year old rye on the back of this.
  12. You must be quite knowledgeable to recognise which whiskies are from back then by looking at the label. I was looking at a whisky auction at the weekend and trying to find old blends by hunting for the ones without barcodes. I never ended up buying anything but that was my best idea on how to find the older blends. Sometimes you can find one without the ABV on the label. They must be quite old.
  13. I'm drinking this just now. A heavy charred Ardmore alongside it. Belgium beer & cask strength whisky. Top of the table.
  14. If schools close for 6 months the kids will turn into cave children and forget how to read and write.
  15. Haha. That's the way to do it. Glad you enjoyed it, it was the same thing I was looking at. Which one was value for money?
  16. Vedett Extra Blond - nice enough but nothing special and not really worth the money.
  17. What malts are in the tasting? You can recommend which ones are best.
  18. i'm wanting to keep an eye on this by V.Aye.R There is a north star tasting at the end of the month through Good Spirits Co https://www.thegoodspiritsco.com/tastings/37580-virtual-north-star-x-ralfy-whisky-tasting-friday-30th-october-2020-7-9pm.html
