  1. They only opened section L for ticket sales tonight, so assuming he means the full NW is sold out, rather than the NW minus section L.
  2. Just over 10k - roughly 10,100, I believe. North East holds about 1200 and total capacity is roughly 11,350.
  3. It’s the east wing that has seats available, west wing sold out a while ago. They’ve also not opened up the furthest right section of the east wing yet. Section L and the NE are clearly considered last resorts. But it’s hard to see those areas not being required, at least to some extent. Would expect east wing to be fully available tomorrow morning, then open up one section at a time, starting with Section L.
  4. Have police blocking access via the east side of the ground? Open the gate at the NW turnstiles, so that fans with NE tickets go through the car park that way. Will be Tuesday 9th May and Saturday 13th for semi final and Thursday 18th and Sunday 21st for the final. Both legs of final will be on Alba, I’d imagine. Don’t think it’s been announced officially, but that’s the usual format. Basically, if Falkirk want to keep players sharp for the Scottish Cup final, it would make sense for them to make sure they’re in the playoffs and don’t win the league.
  5. For the month of February, I’d have gone for someone like Matty Todd if they wanted a Pars player. Benedictus wasn’t bad. It was just his worst month for us, so far. February included the defensive horror show at Airdrie (ensuring it was our worst month defensively, as a team) and David Hutton saving his penalty at East End. However, his form over the last 26 games as a whole deserves recognition.
  6. Benedictus League 1 player of the month for February. In my opinion, it was his worst month of the season. But that’s possibly more because he had been outstanding for the first 20 games or so. Didn’t look his usual self for most of the month - but was back to his best on Saturday. Possibly just someone looking at the fact he’s probably been our player of the year and will be in the running for league’s player of the year, but hasn’t got any awards yet?
  7. Regarding the North East, surely we could open the 2/3 sections nearest the NW? That would still keep at least 40 yards between the fans in there and the away fans.
  8. If Fisher was still here, or if Comrie was fit, I’d expect a very similar setup to the away game. I just can’t see us playing a back 5 without Comrie to play on the right of the 3 CBs. Benedictus will be in the middle whenever we play 3 CBs and the other 2 CBs are left footed, which just didn’t work when it was tried on Saturday. Think we’re likely to see a 4, with Hamilton sitting very deep, protecting them. Overall game plan should be very similar, just a different shape.
  9. No chance we play that back 5. We tried similar on Saturday and couldn’t cope with a left footer at RCB - albeit, that was Otoo, rather than Breen, but it’s still the same issue. With Comrie out, we will definitely play a back 4. edit - would also expect Mochrie to play. He was taken off for a rest at the weekend.
  10. Wighton, Mochrie and Todd’s subs on Saturday were all to make sure they were ‘fresh’ for tomorrow. Was surprised one of Chalmers/Hamilton and KRH weren’t subbed off as well. If Edwards is fit, he’ll play. Assuming Comrie’s out, MacDonald will be at RB. Mochrie, KRH and Todd in a 3 behind Wighton. Unless McPake moves Todd back one, to play beside Hamilton and starts McGowan?
  11. If we hadn’t dropped points in games we were “expected to win” (your words, not mine), we’d have 78 points and be well out of sight. We’ve both dropped points when we shouldn’t have. But that’s football, that’s what happens. Such a stupid post. As others have highlighted, we’ve dropped 6 points to Clyde and Peterhead. We dropped 2 to Kelty. We lost away to Montrose. Using your argument, the difference between the 2 sides should be the games between the us, since we should both win every other game. Yet, you somehow used that logic to argue that dropping 5 points in the 2 games against us isn’t the problem?
  12. Doesn’t sound like we plan to open the NE or the east wing of main stand. Poor from the club. Should be trying to maximise the attendance. Why have roughly 2500 empty seats, but claim we’re close to a sellout? Will be rubbish if someone wants to go on the day, but can’t because the club have chosen not to open sections of the stadium.
  13. Falkirk only offer about 1900 tickets to away fans. Why don’t they just build a fourth stand, like a proper club does?
  14. Comfortable win in the end. We never really got out of second gear, if we’re being honest. Played some good football at points, but also got caught out losing focus at times. Alloa never really looked like troubling us and Mehmet had nothing to do. KRH man of the match. He looked really good and caused them problems all game. Hamilton had a very good game too and thought Mochrie played well. We looked like a team that have a big game in a few days and didn’t really want to do more than we had to do.
  15. As most of the above, very strong start. Could have been 2/3 up early. Comrie’s injury looked a really bad one. Really hope it’s not as bad as it looks. He’d started the game really well too, linking up well with KRH. Struggled after he went off. Strange decision to put Otoo at RCB, when he doesn’t have a right foot. But McPake sorted that and we settled down a bit again. Good set piece to get the goal, could have been anyone but looked like Breen. Think Mochrie and KRH been excellent so far. Hamilton also having a great game in midfield. Wighton looks in a fair bit of pain, I’d get him off now rather than making things worse.
  16. Edwards and Todorov both missing from the squad today. Hopefully nothing serious with either of them.
  17. Worth remembering that there a few Falkirk weirdos on here that were adamant we couldn’t possibly have planned that corner routine/worked on it in training.
  18. It’s clear that the data is saying we have an easier run in than anyone else because we don’t have to play Dunfermline. Falkirk’s difficulty of run-in can only be so high because they have to play us twice. Other than that, we’re playing the same teams. Interesting that, according to that data, we have the easiest run-in in the league despite having to play Falkirk twice…
  19. Yeah. First half at East End, you were very good. The other 135 minutes against us, not so much. Having said that, from what fans of other clubs have said, you seem to win with a bit more ‘style’ than us at the moment. It does sound like things are starting to come together for you guys. If I’m being honest, I’d be fine with a draw. I think that would suit us more than it would suit you and would leave things firmly in our own hands. However, I absolutely want to win this and give ourselves a big cushion and damage Falkirk’s hopes/momentum a bit. I don’t care about style of play or anything this season, I just want to get out of this division as quickly as possible.
  20. Nah. If the game’s off, it should just be declared a 0-0 draw. Probably better than us having to sit through the 0-0 draw that will happen if the game goes ahead. Would save us from watching Falkirk pass it about the back for a few mins, before an aimless punt forward every time they get the ball.
  21. Anyone know if we’ve sorted the USH? Very cold weather forecast for Sunday/Monday/Tuesday nights, along with snow during the day on Monday…
  22. Not seen much of him. But he’s young and seems very highly rated. I believe he can play anywhere in behind the striker. Can be out wide or as a 10. Very energetic and likes to get forward. Hopefully he does well for you and comes back a better player.
  23. Agree with this. Nobody’s trying to claim we were brilliant that day. For a neutral, it would have been a brutal watch. But Falkirk had so much meaningless possession and no obvious plan to create chances/score goals. First game at East End, Falkirk were much better than us first half and could have been 2/3 up at HT. Second half, we were the better team and deserved our goal. Was probably a game both sets of fans will think they could/should have won with the chances created. Expecting next Tuesday to be a very different game. A draw wouldn’t surprise me, but a win for either team would see momentum shift massively in their favour.
  24. That’s why I asked the question. I am well aware that highlights don’t show the full picture. Which is exactly why I asked if he was as bad as he looked. All you see of him in the highlights is him chasing shadows and being caught out of position. So I asked a question, which I still don’t think was unreasonable. Genuinely glad to hear he wasn’t bad at all. I liked him in his short spell with us and was just curious.
