So it would appear that a version of 'rangers' has lost the tax case appeal. I don't know if that's oldco, newco, newclub or oldclub since newclub claims to be oldclub but newco is not oldco although newclub has oldco's stuff but not its history or debt and it's very confusing. I am really looking forward to the endgame when newco, newclub, oldclub and oldco finally get nailed into the coffin and buried. After assets have been sequestrated and titles have been stripped, of course.

I've never heard the dalek jibe. I do remember hearing some other sick jokes at the time. Also heard jokes about the Aberfan disaster, Hillsborough, 9/11 and others. I imagine some of these jokes would have been repeated by Rangers fans. In fact I know for certain some were. People are cruel, sad but true.

I used to have a dislike of Oldco rangers, solely based on my own experience and stories I heard, while growing up and living in Glasgow since the early fifties. I have to say, given my recent 'obsession' with them and finding out what their real history was, that I now really hate the b*****ds. Both Oldco and Zombie Newco. You see? Obsession can be a good thing.

You can't really believe that Newco fans give a flying f**k about Morton or anyone else (except their green cousins). To be fair he said 5M 'fans' worldwide IIRC 500M was the potential viewing audience. Now, I watched Real v Man City but I'm not a fan, I wouldn't actually pay per match to watch them on TV. The 500M figure presumably refers to viewers buying a 'package', like ESPN, but it still sounds like a grossly exaggerated figure. About 700M watched the last WC Final and 250M for CL final. CL group matches won't pull anything like that, never mind early qualifiers Ra Gerz will be lucky to have 7% of the Scottish population as 'fans'.

This is very true. I suppose the best strategy is to support the (new) club by going to matches and buying stuff , which is what every other fan does. The share issue must be regarded as suspect imo. Charlie does not inspire confidence. Difficult time to be a bear.
