  1. Very gracious from the gaffer. Spence should take note.
  2. He's definitely not coming back, but not signed for another team yet.
  3. Aye, agree with that. I suspect 4th or 5th in the league is where we are likely to finish this season. We've a fairly thin squad where if everyone is available we'll take on any team. A few injuries and we start to struggle. Could have done with a bit of experience in defence today and a wee bit more physicality across the park. Spence has installed a wee bit of streetwise in the Medda similar to what he had himself. However, without the influence of their No 11, I think Buffs would have seen the game out, the wee guy made all of the difference.
  4. Your level of engagement on here is the lowest of the low.
  5. Aye you could be right. When you were doing well we were making our way back, when we hit the top again you got relegated, so fair enough. Number 11 a good wee player, old fashioned dribbler, caused us a lot of problems on the counter. As for Buffs, injuries are hampering us particularly in defence. Monti is a miss, but have to move on from that now. Actually thought we played well going forward, created loads of chances. Medda targeted Gavin every time he got the ball. Ref was too lenient, lost control, probably responsible for Ben Lewis injury.
  6. Selective memory perhaps? Who was your number 11 today, thought he had an excellent game.
  7. I suppose Medda had to beat us eventually. Once in a lifetime events happen. We were getting used to pumping the Medda, we will get used to pumping you again.
  8. Did Irvine Meadow win the world cup today? Good game for any neutrals there. Hope Ben Lewis injury isn't too bad, looked a sore one.
  9. Spot on. Large slice of entitlement on display.
  10. That's a bit rattle out the pram after the start to the season Talbot have enjoyed.
  11. Simple Minds Life In A Day Reel to Real Empire and Dance Sister Feelings Call THEN New Gold Dream Sparkle In The Rain THEN Once Upon A Time Street Fighting Years Real Life THEN Obscurity..... Gaining respect again with some reasonable dad rock last few years. Some pretty innovative pan European stuff on those early albums with Derek Forbes on bass and Mick McNeill on electronica.
  12. Great promotion for the club. Love this guy's enthusiasm too. Onwards and upwards.
  13. Maybe not scoring as many goals, but up until this dispute has been an effective part of the team. He will be missed at Buffs, but maybe his wages will be used to bolster the squad as we are a bit thin in experience and numbers. Let's be honest though, money is still a big part of football at our level.
  14. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/carlo-monti-poised-shock-kilwinning-25030028 Sorry to see Carlo go. He's been a joy to watch at Buffs. However, when money is cited....
  15. FFKSC in town early and looking forward to this one. Should be a belter. What a job Dick Campbell is doing.
  16. A very scrappy game yesterday. Think a draw would have been a fairer result as very little between the teams. Disappointing to lose the second goal as the keeper shouldn't be beaten at his near post from that angle. Buffs play nice stuff, but sometimes want to walk the ball into the net instead of being a wee bit more direct. Perhaps lack a wee bit of physicality too. A relatively young team still developing, we will learn and move on.
  17. Killie were awful today. Morton offered next to nothing. We take the 3 points and move on to Firhill.
  18. In front of a decent crowd at Townhead Cumnock and Buffs served up some decent fayre. Nock were the better side first half and former player Frye finished off a good move to take the lead. Second half Buffs upped their game and Nock hit on the break. Despite having the majority of the ball and throwing many dangerous crosses into the box, Buffs couldn't find a clear cut chance and some excellent defending saw Nock hold on for the win. Tactically Cumnock edged it today. Buffs unbeaten start to the season comes to an end, lessons will be learnt as we move on to Largs next Saturday at Buffs Park. Best for Buffs today were McGowan and Coutts. Special mention to the Cumnock pie stall, plenty of choice and some of the cheapest prices in the league.
  19. Acid Dad's album is top drawer
  20. Yes, 20s play on a Friday night. Be good when Clydebank come visiting, always a good crowd and generally plenty of goals.
