  1. Leggatt has very little credibility,no argument there but this was a blog put forward by McGillivan who hasn't denied it was him. It was crass and tbh shows him up as having very little credibility either. He has shown his bigoted attitude against Rangers supporters with such a blog.

I agree totally. They are both an utter disgrace to journalism. (And that's really saying something when the media is stuffed with throbbers like Traynor and Young).

I just find it beyond belief that a bigoted blogger is berating another bigoted blogger...for being a bigoted blogger!!!!

    Oh....the irony......unsure.gif

  2. Serious question for the Sevco fans on here. Why on earth are you not constantly lobbying the msm for answers? It's obvious that crooks (from Minty onwards) have been and are plundering your club. If you are as well supported as you claim to be, why don't you use that leverage to demand answers?

    Just curious.

It does seem a bit off the scale that the Sevco supporters don't seem to want to know what's going on in the background.

Chucky may well just be an independent opportunist, or he may be bent over with Whyte being balls deep in him. It is staggering that after all this time, no one really knows what's going on. Rangers supporters, please, please, please start asking difficult questions about the whole set up at Ibrox.

If something similar was going on at Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal etc., you could be pretty certain that the English media would be all over it like a tramp on chips.

Let's face it, Rangers were a multi million pound industry with an international brand that's been exported all over the world. In many ways, they were one of the international public faces of Scotland. Surely the extent of investigation into its demise should amount to slightly more than a few internet bloggers? (Who have done a fantastic job so far, by the way). For the love of God, surely our whole country deserves more than that?

If the media in Scotland are incapable of carrying out any type of investigative journalism, it begs the question; what would happen if Scotland were an independent country? Would the media be equally lazy if Russian gangsters decided that a small independent country would be the ideal place to control and launder crime money through? Would they just stand aside for the price of a succulent lamb dinner?

Shame on you Scottish media. The public deserves better that the current wall of silence.

  3. Leggo is sooooo funny.

"Green could go even further. For if he manages to convince Walter Smith to return to Ibrox and take his rightful and fully earned place at the Boardroom table, then the time would be ripe to also invite that great Rangers legend, John Greig, to join him there."

Ah yes, John Greig as a director.

That'll be the same John Greig who was a director when Rangers debts were spiralling out of control, and the EBT investigation by HMRC was under way.

Good old loony, Leggo. What a tube.

  4. Ah Henrik I am OFFENDED by that wee fib of yours! I fully understand the whole post may be a bit too long for your attention span, but I did put a wee small section in speficially for my favourite Non-Celtic supporting fan of Rangers! Pah!

DhenBhoy - honestly my friend, see when you do t'internet responses like that, you know the one we spoke about earlier "i'm way too smart to read that, in fact that response is so horrific I simply am far too intellectual to respond, as you can see by my response" it really does make you look as smart as you hope everyone reading this thinks you are. No...seriously! Impressive stuff :)

Wunfellaff - How is me not using the quote function incomprehensible to you? What part of my points don't you comprehend that you feel the quote function would have helped you? My offer stands, I will personally explain each point you are struggling with. Also, the new company name in charge of the club is not in administration so why would we recieve a 10 point deduction? The club is still the club, the company that owns it goes into administration, liquidation and all other legal jibbery-stuff that all of you people kid on you know about but don't really have the foggiest. Yes, all that 'stuff'!

I'm impressed by the amount of Rangers threads on this forum actually, I mis-judged it. I am enjoying it, full of like-minded people who all love discussing the greatest club in the world. My cup of tea, my cup of tea indeed!

Haven't been on this thread for a while.

Judging by this drivel being posted, I haven't missed much.

  5. Jacobites and Jock Tamson from everyone's favourite blogger today: http://leggoland2.bl...rs-to-snub.html

Got to admit, I'm a bit disappointed in this latest rant from Leggo. It just doesn't seem to reach his usual levels of paranoid lunacy, we've become used to from him.

He normally seems to be descending further into madness with each blog. His last one included references to Naziism and even called Jim Traynor a "fine, hard working, honest, committed and professional journalist".

C'mon Leggo, get back on the super lager!

  6. I thought this was all pretty straightforward.

Rangers are bust. Any money owed to them is now earmarked for creditors.

Sevco are exactly what it says on the tin. A new club with no ties to Rangers.

To gain registration ahead of more established clubs, Sevco agreed to pay Rangers outstanding football debts. That's to say, they "bought" the registration by agreeing to pay a defunct clubs football debt.

If they had wished to be Rangers, this would have been entirely possible, had they been willing to service Rangers debt. Sevco were not willing to do this.

The only ties Sevco have with Rangers, is that they have bought some stuff that used to belong to Rangers. This makes them "a company which owns some stuff that used to belong to Rangers". It clearly doesn't make them Rangers.

For example, if I bought Andy Cameron's old joke book, would that then make me a comedian?..................................Ahhh bollocks, ................ wrong example.................

  7. The statement from Tannadice has got me thinking - surely once again, serious questions have to be asked about the media and their reporting of the whole story.

Charles Green says they have paid all their footballing debts - all the media outlets report this as 100% fact. The BBC at least stated that it was Scottish debts, but not one of these "journalists" thought to phone Mad Vlad or Stephen Thompson to see if the brown envelope had arrived.

Constant acceptance of Rangers' statements when they are less than true, total lies written in some cases (Craig Whyte billionaire, Sky pulling out), and utter nonsense portrayed as serious journalism - it's ridiculous.

    You're right that it's ridiculous.

Has he paid it, or hasn't he?

This shouldn't be a complicated investigation for any half decent investigative journalist. The fact that no one seems to have an answer says all that needs to be said about how fat, lazy and second rate the Scottish media is becoming.

  8. Epic, isn't it.

If you have read it though you would see that its not all about Rangers but rather how the events of the past few months have effected every club in Scottish football in some form or other. I think when its done it maybe should be published, because there is some tremendous input from football fans from all clubs and it is a great insight into the minds of those that go to watch the nations favourite sport.

It's human nature to not look away when a train smash is happening in front of you.

The strangest part of the whole saga is the blind acceptance of Charles Green. After the events of Murray and Whyte, you would assume that Green Rangers would be treated with some scepticism. There are still so many unanswered questions out there, I would have thought the Green Rangers fans would be bombarding forums such as RM.

Oldco got into the state they ended up in precisely because of the culture of not asking hard questions. (A culture that may have been led by the likes of James Traynor, but it was also assisted by various stakeholders at Oldco).

However, it just seems to be another big love-in at Ibrox, with everything on the periphery being ignored.

I've no axe to grind with ordinary Rangers fans. If you pay your money, week in week out to support the club, then you deserve to at least be told what is going on.

I have no doubt that the Scottish media are going to find it hard to get out of the culture of sucking up to Ibrox in the hope of being thrown scraps from the table and it's no surprise to me that many of them are still not pushing for answers, but to be honest, the biggest part of this whole debacle that I can't fathom is why Rangers supporters aren't demanding more clarity about the current set up.

  9. I posted the following last night, late on.

To mis-quote Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca - "Of all the Nominated Advisers in all the towns in all the world, you had to walk into mine!"

The article title is - "How Unfortunate – Merchant House Group now advised by Firm Formed by Rangers FC Director".

For those who do not know, Merchant House Group's largest shareholder is Liberty Capital, a company based in the British Virgin Islands and owned 100% by .... (drum roll) .... Craig Whyte!

    http://scotslawthoug...rs-fc-director/

I do see that this story has been mentioned above, at comment 80855, but I like to think my piece is more comprehensive!

My, my. What a "co-incidence". This particular rollercoaster is still hurtling round the circus, and as usual, the Scottish press are ignoring it.

It's becoming more and more clear that something is not right in the state of Newco, yet there seems to be no real appetite from ordinary Newco fans to demand clarity on it all. If anything, there seems to be 100% support for the current regime. Bomber Broon may be a couple of coconuts short of a palm tree, but he does have something of a point about the intentions of Green and co.

I couldn't see the fans of any other club just putting up and shutting up with this type of situation, and I've got to admit, I'm really surprised that Newco fans aren't kicking off about these "alleged" links back to Whyte.

It looks like this carnival isn't over yet.

  10. £40 Million?

Not a chance. Anyone actually hoping to gain control of Newco are highly unlikely to try and do it via a share issue valued at this price.

They are more likely to sit it out now and wait for the issue to fail. As Green and co. start bleeding money trying to prop the team up, desperation will set in and the price will drop off a cliff.

It's obvious really. If Newco were worth £40 million, then a consortium would already have bid for it at something near that price.

Newco fans may as well flush their money down the bog. Anything raised by this will be trousered immediately by Green and co.

  11. Bizarre. Why aren't they just letting Brechin have a bye, as a result of Sevco having no license? I very much doubt even Fat Sally and Green actually care about progressing in the Ramsdens Cup. Of course, they should be kicked out entirely, but eliminating them from the opening rounds of the cup until the league kick-off turns the screw on the cheats: particularly in the League Cup.

They may not care about the Ramsdens Cup, but they need it.

Games equate to cashflow, and no games = no cash, and that club is costing Green money every day.
