  1. Has Chassa said anything that's true yet?

I love reading anything he says and waiting a few days to hear its nonsense.

Luckily for him, he's getting away with it at the moment. The Govan Rovers lot still think they are victims of a conspiracy by the SFA/SPL/SFL, the media, the Diddy Clubs, P&B, HMRC and probably The Vatican.

However, as the debacle increases in magnitude, it's not going to take long for them to turn on him. And when that lot get started, his police escorts to get him out of Bramall Lane in one piece are going to look like a tea party with his granny in comparison.

Every time I see him in the media now, he just looks totally baffled. The stance taken by the diddy clubs is probably the catalyst. I genuinely believe he thought that the "too big to fail" card was a passport back to the big time with no risk involved. It's backfired on him in spectacular style - he just looks totally and utterly bewildered.

  2. As good as it is, why is this thread still on the go in the SPL forum? The Gretna and Livi threads were all punted to the third when they went tits up.

As the circus is still ongoing, it's probably still relevant to this thread.

Hopefully, the SFA will have grown a set of balls by tomorrow, sorted out the whole sorry saga for good and this whole thread can be punted down to where it belongs.........

  3. Folk are getting a bit too caught up in the use of the word "negotiation". Green has applied to transfer the membership of the old Rangers, and that requires agreement from a number of parties who have an interest. The SFA, SFL and SPL are negotiating with each other as well as with Green, in order that the 3 associations can put forward some membership conditions which suit all of them.

No one should be negotiating with Green at all. If you wish to be a member of the SFA/SPL/SFL then you abide by their rules and decisions, as well as the rules set by FIFA and UEFA.

I'm amazed that Green can spend the equivalent of 20 minutes in Scottish football, yet feel he has anything to add to the party. It truly is a circus.

  4. I'm assuming that if Charles Green is being allowed to address the meeting it means he will be open to questions. That can only be a good thing.

    1. Any time I have seen him on TV he comes over as shifty and unconvincing.

    2. His patter is unlikely to go down well with the SFL chairmen.

    3. There are some questions that he will simply be unable or unwilling to answer. Hopefully if he is asked any of those questions he will waffle on rather than be open thus making his arguments look even less convincing.

Can't see him convincing anyone that Spivco snake oil suppositories are what's really needed by everyone. But I think you're right, he's hopefully going to make a total c*nt of himself.

  5. Doncaster, Regan and Longmuir have changed the face of Scottish football forever. But not in the way they wanted.

Whatever happens today, things will never be the same again. The fans have stood shoulder to shoulder, most of the clubs have stood shoulder to shoulder, and Alex Thomson has done a fantastic job representing us all in the media.

I now have real pride in our game for the first time in decades. I'm proud of the fans, proud of Turnbull Hutton, proud of clubs like Ayr and Annan and I'm especially proud of Diddy power.

We've hit a milestone in Scottish football. We have proved that the diddy clubs DO matter and the decades of bullying and being treated like shit are over. We're not prepared to be dictated to anymore and there's no turning back.

There is a momentum going now and I don't think it (or us) can be stopped. Diddy power is back on the agenda and it's not going away.

  6. Rangers will not be in the SPL. It's impossible. The SPL clubs have made that clear.

Made it clear as mud by not naming Club 12.

I can see Spivco in the SPL alright. Regan and Doncaster have proved that nothing is beyond them.

And for the record, I'm not complaining about Dundee not being named as Club 12. I would much rather that my club came of the fence and stood behind honourable clubs like Raith, Ayr, Annan etc who are leading the way in doing the right thing.

A game to be proud of with honesty, integrity and honour is what matters; not promotion. It would be great to see the diddy clubs stick together and tell the SPL to stick Clb 12's place up their arse.

  7. Don't know if this has been posted already.

    http://www.heraldsco...-15m.1342086719

It now seems quite clear that Green's whole gamble was based on them getting back into the SPL and the players staying, which has now backfired to the tune of millions already. (I guess we already knew that but the manner of it is an eye opener!)

More question marks about what the hell H&D were up too.

I like the comments after the article.

    Check out this diddy.

The SPL without Rangers will be a joke.........

...........its like Turkeys voting for Christmas which just about demonstrates the level of intelligence of the owners of the other Clubs who voted Rangers out --Turkeys.

I do not support any club and have been to only one Football match in my life over 50 years ago

    Incredible.

  8. GIOVANNI DI STEFANO FORMAL OFFER TO ACQUIRE THE RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB PLC

Just when you think Scottish Football can't get any more bizarre, up pops Gary Glitters lawyer.

Mind you, as it's been alleged he had already served a six-month sentence for fraud and false pretences and a three year sentence for obtaining property by deception, it appears he is well suited to running Rangers.

  9. From the BBC

Last year, SPL clubs considered and eventually rejected plans to reduce the amount of clubs in top league to 10, with chairman Ralph Topping and chief executive Neil Doncaster claiming a 16-team division was not financially viable.

Regan was also an advocate of a 10-team SPL.

    So what's changed?

Nothing really. It's a big shitty mess and Regan, Doncaster and their bitch Longmuir appear to want it to stay that way.

Next move in the comedy saga that is Scottish Football? Well frankly, I can see the SFL clubs telling them to F*ck Right Off with their mafia behaviour, and Spivco then getting shoehorned back into the SPL.

Backslapping all round in SFA/SPL HQ's.

Of course, none of this would happen if Longmuir had any spine or could grow a set of nads. The first chance the diddy teams have had to wield power in years, and Longmuir rolls over to have his balls tickled.

    An absolute fucking joke.

  10. Whatever you think of the whole situation if Rangers don't get into the first all 3 must be considering their position

All 3 should be considering their position now.

Govan Rovers are going to be too big to keep out of the league for any length of time, so entry into SFL3 is probably the best option for everyone.

Most clubs would agree with this, most fans (if they have to let let them in at some level) would agree with this and even the majority of Rangers fans seem to agree. It's a compromise that wouldn't make everyone happy but would probably make the best of a bad lot.

Yet in the background, these 3 diddies are scaremongering, threatening and bullying to get Sevco into Div1. And lets face it, who the f*ck are they anyway? They're corporate climbers who don't give a shit about football and would be off like a shot if they could get another leg up the corporate ladder.

What really f*cks me off is that SFL chairman are being blackmailed and bullied by that clown Longmuir, and he's actually their employee. He should be kicked out on his arse at the first opportunity.

These corporate tossers were brought into Scottish football to allegedly bring up standards, increase revenue and raise our profile. They have failed miserably on two counts, and the only reason our profile has been raised is because they've turned our game an international laughing stock.

Now that the fans are gaining some power back, it would be good to see it carry on to get someone we want running our football again. Turnbull Hutton obviously springs to mind, but there are plenty of other decent people with passion and integrity who could do a far better job than the current trio of tubes we have at the moment.

  11. Rangers had run a tax scheme that HMRC regarded as evasion.

Rangers had a 'case to answer' that allied to this tax scheme the players had dual contracts.

Rangers, under Craig Whyte, deliberately withheld NHI and VAT payments over a period of many months

The Rangers manager contributed to SFA tribunal panel members being abused and threatened by calling for names to be made public. Names he either already had or could easily get access to.

Rangers, or at least their representatives, took the SFA to a civil court in an attempt to have a 'penalty' that had already been appealed overturned.

Charles Green, the chief executive of newco Rangers has still refused to name his financial backers.

The Scottish footballing authorities response to all this is to ignore the overwhelming view of Scottish football fans, to try to intimidate and bully SFL clubs, to ignore the standard procedures and to minimise the impact on a newco Rangers.

I don't think this is over for HMRC.

The sale of Rangers assets at a knockdown price could be construed as a means of denying creditors monies owed. (Of which, HMRC is owed millions). I reckon we can standby for (yet another) investigation into Rangers.

  12. I know it may be too late but we must do what we can which is very little except withdraw our services when corruption is finally approved on Friday. In the meantime email (again) Regan, Doncaster, Longmuir and your Clubs informing them that you, the paying customer, will walk away. Full stop.

I don't think it will be approved.

The three tossers of the apocalypse (Regan, Doncaster and Longmuir) may think they hold the power, but recent weeks have proved that this isn't the case.

Let's face it, they thought they would have sown this up ages ago by throwing a few crumbs off the table to the SFL, and thanks to people like Turnbull Hutton fighting the good fight, the SFL clubs haven't just rolled over as the SPL/SFA had planned. Regan and Doncaster especially are looking more desperate by the day.

I honestly believe their are enough free minded, fair, honest and decent chairmen in the SFL to prevent this nonsense and stop the further shaming of Scottish football. And when they do stop it, the next step is to boot the three tossers of the apocalypse out on their arse. They have heaped shame on the national game, and should never hold a position of responsibility again.

  13. Exactly my question. I've posted about it on the OS and in the First Division thread. For me (and assuming Spencey's called it right), it smacks of a cowardly unwillingness to rock the boat, or upset Sevco5088. A golden opportunity to be seen on the right side, especially after two administrations, and it looks like the board are going to shite it.

All the more galling after Rangers attempts to put us under over the Zurab Khizanishvili transfer in 2002/3.

As for your second paragraph, I genuinely think Chairmen are STILL underestimating the fans. I have no doubt whatsoever that some of them think "Aye they'll be annoyed this season, but it will all have been forgotten about this time next year".

    I fucking hope not.

I would have thought we've already been nobbled. i.e. "If you vote NO, then you're not going up"

To be honest, I'll be gutted if we don't vote NO. Voting NO is the only honourable thing to do when threats are being bandied around by the SFA/SPL.

Are we so used to bending over and taking it, that we can't say NO anymore?
