  1. It could and should be; there are many business networking groups in and around the Southside area; groups such as the BNI and Chamber of Commerce always looking for venues that are different. Their attendees in turn are the very ones the club want to sell hospitality and advertisement packages to. Additionally, local charities / NFP organisations need venues.
  2. This is indeed a missed opportunity to build something different with the many in mind. The elevated stands at Peterhead, comes to mind. An explanation is long overdue.
  3. Mid-table....what's is the matter with you man! That is a top 4 line up....Keep the Faith.
  4. That means one serious three-month-shift to complete by the September Weekend.
  5. Sounds like the innovative team recruitment philisophy is coming together; am happy with that and being brave to use the Young Team as ready made loanees when required.
  6. Are we shunning the option of players on loan this season; or is the plan to use the Young Team instead of a loanee? Am certainly keen on that brave new world; so long as supporters accept that young players make mistakes.
  7. Spot on. He is an incredible force to have at the heart of the defence. And am sure he will have plenty of opportunities this season to demonstrate hie defensive qualities. As for Macron- that looks poor when compared with the Admiral range.
  8. That energy and general excitement he can create will also have its worth on the training ground. Someone the Young Team will learn from.
  9. Based on those listed, it will be an interesting line up for the games in the Netherlands.
  10. I like to think this builds upon the youth work the club has had in place for several decades now; and removes the temptation for our promising players to move on too early in their development, which happened all too often.
  11. This must be including some of the U18 squad from last season; and like you say hopefully a busy week full of announcements with players now back from holiday. Perhaps, we should set up camp at Cathkin Park and look out for who's having their photo taken.
  12. I agree; played a blinder in the play-offs. Seemed to get fitter as the season went on. Also, his performances improved with the appearance of OC on the sidelines, as it did for a few others. Who would have thought an experienced coach, with tactical nous and clear instructions would improve players.
  13. This looks nice. I like what you've done with the place since we were last up here. Am hoping we will be able to stick around for a wee while; maybe sneak a fourth-place spot - aiming for fourth seemed to upset a few folks from Airdrie and Falkirk last year; lack of ambition they said.
  14. I thought they were all becoming plumbers these days.
  15. I Agree. And matched with a younger verison of himself in Scott Williamson; that should be quite a high energy front two.
  16. Am looking forward to it, my Auld Git Rail Card will be getting well used next season.
  17. I care. The away day is one of best experiences that following your team provides. The ground I looked forward to the least was Hampden; am hoping that being at Lesser will become as good an away day for opposing fans as I've had in visiting Arbroath, Elgin, Annan, along with many others.
  18. Nothing embarrssing about it all; have you seen some of the average attendances in the Championship this season. As for what are we doing about it; there will be the continual development of Lesser over the next two or three seasons; do we really need to waste money on a capacity of say, anymore than 3,000?
  19. What a perfomance over the four play-off matches. Always had a feeling that finishing second was more of a poisoned chalice and so it has proven; Arbroath, Airdire and Forfar all missing out this year. As for the Seaside League, am looking forward to day trips to Cove, Kirkcaldy, Greenock, Ayr and of course my old favourite Arbroath.
  20. Our budget being one of the highest does not equate to immediate success. Infrastructure is fledging at best, although I have lofty expectations in this regard. Last August looking rationally at the squads, the management, and their overall experience in this league; Cove, Airdrie, Montrose and Falkirk all looked stronger. Out of our four recognised forwards only one was available and that has been the case for most of the season. Hence 4th, in my opinion, was the best we could realistically aim for.
  21. Agree entirely with this post. Whilst being desparately keen to be promoted, the best we ever realistically dreamed of at the start of the seson, would be a 4th place finish. It will be an interesting afternoon, come Sunday.
  22. He does. He looked strong and keen,; should be enjoyable watching him play next season.
  23. They are not a member of the Glasgow FA. Which I presume is a throwback to them being affiliated to the Junior FA.
  24. Being put down as a school project I believe; all part of the Curriculum for Excellence hitting two of the four aims; becoming a Responsible Citizen and an Effective Contributor!
  25. You wait years for a shot in a Final and here we have two in one week. What a time to be alive!
