  1. There have been some absolute stinkers of an away day to endure this season; that was a very pleasing day out!
  2. Spot on; my only thought was that they decided not to pass it through the middle of the park, which is a lottery, so play it long and try to pass and create an opening in the final third. The best I could hope for was to be still in the tie for the 2nd leg and that has been achieved.
  3. Are your counting apperances for their Primary School teams! If you add Connell, Brown and Lyons combined first team appearances , would you be really be above the 300 mark? We have the second youngest squad in this league (Aidrie being the youngest) and by far the least experienced squad in this league.
  4. With the average age of our midfield; Scrappy-Doo is a more appropriate moniker. Half of our team have to go home when the street lights come on.
  5. I have no idea. As far as am concerned, a Season Ticket is for the season; this season is not over yet; the play-off games are in integral part of the season.
  6. I agree with all you have said; and I would hope commonsense breaks out in the boardroom when discussing prices for next season; no mater the league we find ourselves in. I would however caution against using the argument of the present financial climate - it has been forever thus; prelapsarion Britain has never existed - since Thatcher decided to rob the weans of their daily milk, we have had The Troubles, two Iraq Wars, Twin Towers, Black Monday, War on Terror, Credit Crunch, IndyRef, Brexit and not to mention the present era of that Mob in Westminster. Am sure the Club have employees wanting a pay rise, suppliers pushing through increases and constructions firms citing unforseen circumstances when the cost of the Lesser development goes up. I would be surprised if ST and Membership costs remain the same for next season.
  7. Should play the Glasgow Cup side (obviously bar the goal-scoring forward) and let us catch a glimpse of what may entertain us next season.
  8. I would have tended to agree that getting competitive games for the youth players as essential; however that may now depend on how the club view player development. Am sure someone on this thread a few months back highighted Brentford and their decision not to have their development squad play in a competitive league. On a separate note; having a foward score a brace in one match is a most welcomed development.
  9. Jeezo! I go off on my annual sojourn of the finest vineyards and Brauhaus that southern Bavaria has to offer, and I come back to this. Instead of slurping the output of corporate brewing behemoths, I would rather be a bon vivant of the artisan and celebrate all that is good about prole society. Quite honestly - youse can get tae Froach!
  10. Surely, we must be aiming higher than this. Our next Commercial Partner should be somone from the craft-beer / micro-brewer sector.
  11. A bizarre performance from Queens. After the intensity and desire of the previous games against Clyde and Cove, this was the polar opposite. That said, I must congratulate the squad for securing the Play-Off spot with three games to spare. Back in August, fourth place was the best I would dare to dream was possible, although never really believing it - mind you after Simon Murray's free kick at Falkirk I began to think we could win this league! Football...eh!
  12. any photographic update this week? I have not been able to get down to lesser this past week or so.
  13. Bob, Simon and Jai to start upfront: our usual blistering start, this time however with no near misses, no richochet off the woodwoork and each to score within the first 10 minutes. And we rest easy for the remainer of the the afternoon. If only life were that easy.
  14. Sorry, in that respect you are quite correct, there will be a high turnover; however, not because it is necessary but due to loanees returning to their parent clubs It will be interesting to see if we go down the loaned player route so much next season.
  15. I agree; I'd rather we had the capacity higher. For me I hope this is temporary and the build towards a higher capacity will be ongoing throughout the season. 990 souls packed in at lesser should be a good atmosphere; with the club building on the excellent community work over the past 12 months. At this stage, I just want to be back watching the team on the South Side.
  16. So, let's say within the next two or three seasons the plan is to have a stand on each side of the ground? Do we know what capacity that would provide?
  17. A good appointment. Am not too fused about the June start date, the less messing about with team preparations and style at this stage is no bad thing. And now looking forward to the game at the weekend....who are we up against?
  18. Of that, I am sure you are correct; the distinction I was making is that the Board was not acting as forward thinking as the above post seemed to think. Members being spoken to first, then possibly at some future date, maybe or maybe not, the Supporter Class.
  19. After that performance yesterday, it comes to the stage that it may be better for the development of the less experienced and Academy players to be competitive in League one next season than being on the receiving end of a few doings in the Championship. A first season back at Lesser competing for a title rather than a relegation dog-fight is an easier sell when looking to increase fanbase and in keeping with the long-term development of the Club.
  20. We have improved - albeit small margins - since the most dissapointing display all season when we lost 1-0 last December. However, Airdrie have also improved, by a greater margin. So, it has 2-0 for QP written all over it.
