  2. Spot on, each of them playing regularly would be more than enough to live up to the demands of this league. However, that group have not collectively played regularly - the younger, inexperienced players have.
  3. I can assure you, I ain't happy with another draw. Am being realsitic.
  4. Agreed. The stats should be better - I would love them to better - the point being is we are where we deserve to be. With regards to Hartley, he has had three years or so to mould that team spirirt. Coupled with the fact (although I would have to check am right) that Cove Rangers must have the one of most experienced and oldest teams in the league. Whereas we must one of the youngest and certainly the most inexperienced; hence the mistakes our younger players make. We are not rubbish, we are learning. And next season, our team will be all the better for it.
  5. Really. A 31%-win ratio while hardly the stuff of champions, seems par for the course for teams who sit fourth in their leagues: Hibs 30%, ICT 37% & Edin City 41% - of course I could pick the loss ratio and argue we are would beaters: Hibs 36% ICT 27% Edin City 39% and the mighty QP 13%! Hold on, just wait till I work out our Draw-Ratio........ We are nowhere near being rubbish.
  6. If we are waiting on the Indian League to finish; is David Robertson about to leave Real Kashmir? Am sure that would make for an enjoyable watch next season.
  7. As pleasing a day out as I hoped it would be.
  8. Am looking forward to visiting The Rock today, feeling as confident as I have all season about the victory this afternoon. 3-0 for the Queens.
  9. Have St Mirren not just talken on a new Manager (we can but dream) who may well have summoned the boy back, to take a view on all the talent he has at his disposal; especially as the Buddies have a few suspensions to contend with.
  10. Car Crash! With 9 games to go, a play-off spot totally within our control, losing only 4 games all season, best defence of nearest rivals, the excitement of the twin attack of Quitongo and McHugh, a defensive wall of Grant and Fox, Primary school kids screaming their lungs oot . All this on back of total ineptitude within the Boardroom, who seem to have taken on a vow of silence the Carmelite nuns would be proud of. Aye car crash right enough! Bring back the Glory Years of when we finished bottom of the pile!
  11. That was better. Provide a good service to the forward and he scores; simple really.
  12. Put your keyboard down and step back. A quick look at any league and you will spot that very rarely do any team win more than 50% of their games.
  13. I have liked a lot of what you have posted previously; however, this is nonsense; "complete disconnect between fans (and) players" deary me! I for one have enjoyed watching the efforts of the players this season - if not the end-result - but cannot fault their commitment and obvious desire to play in a certain way, learn and improve.
  14. Defenders are always told to "jockey the winger down the line" - "don't let them cut inside" We have scored some good goals from shots in and around the D. We have to make better use of the posession when we do either; and to be fair there have been a raft of crosses into the box.
  15. Agreed - easily the best team I have seen us play against all season.
  16. More interesting is the fact that the Brentford B-team do not play in a league. And yet develop talent for their first team. Someone should have a word with those pushing for the inclusion of B teams in the Lower Leagues.
  17. A very disappointing watch; the high hopes at the start of this match on the back of the previous couple of weeks, soon dissipated. Am sure the players feel as frustrated as those of us watching; and trust that they take the opportunity next week to redeem themselves.
  18. It certainly has come a long way since I first heard of it use; with a 15-year lifespan and up to 1,000 playing hours per year, I would expect that to be of some benefit to the first team and the club in general.
  19. Good grief, the ego of the man, having the temerity to invest in a decent playing surface that's fit for purpose, allows players to perform better, that lessens the fear of injury and supporters watch a better game.
  20. Yet another sending off, of our own making. However, the attitude afterwards from the team, the togetherness and resilience to claim a point was good to see and gives me confidence this team are up to the task of claiming a play-off slot this season.
  21. Am sure Reading had a hybrid surface a few years back. And of course, Murrayfield.
  22. With that win, and how we are improving week by week, this Saturday at Cove is one to look forward too, rather then dread; which was the feeling a few games back.
  23. Again, encouraged by this performance - the difference between this game and defeat to Airdrie is night and day. Quicker to the loose balls in midfield and passing was sharper - however, we need to get that second goal.
  24. Am encouraged by the clutch of recent signings - I prefer to take a punt on a collection of younger players, who see QP as a chance to get some game time and improve their game. The run of victories starts this weekend.
