  1. Didn't realise they played at Grange Academy. It's a bog standard 3g facility. The drainage at Burnpark tends to be poor so don't play there much.
  2. Folk need to realise that like it or not, the season is finished. Some countries are ahead of us with regard to the virus and might, only might, have a chance of the season resuming. Contracts being extended would be a legal minefield, particularly in situations where they could overlap with pre-contract agreements. And what happens if a player or one of the backroom staff develops COVID-19? More games postponed, therefore chaos. I have serious doubts we will be back to normal for a bit of time yet. When community groups, individual volunteers and local councils are busy making sure people are receiving food because they cannot go out or don't have the money to buy it, football has to take a back seat. As do many other things. There is no perfect solution but I would rather our club is here to compete again next season. If that means this season is curtailed then so be it.
  3. They don't normally play on that pitch, but they do play on a public park. That match was the league decider against Hurlford Thistle a year or two ago. There was a huge crowd at it, for an amateur league match anyway.
  4. Probably someone who forgot which twitter account they were logged in to. Still highly embarassing, and that's putting it mildly. I would doubt Shortlees had applied, unless they are groundsharing, which is unlikely. Same with Hurlford Thistle , partly for that reason but also because the person bankrolling Hurlford United also has very close ties to Thistle.
  5. Excellent. Makes a lot of sense, although the traditionalists might not like it since they developed from a boys club.
  6. The problem is that what happens in the SPFL play off could impact on relegation from the LL. If only one team is relegated due to the champions being promoted then a play off like that doesn't work.
  7. Alternatively, they could continue to loan young players to other clubs to aid their develoment. That way they play with experienced p!ayers as well as against them.
  8. Nothing to do with protecting lower SPFL clubs. They don't want reserve sides either. It's all about some of the twisted sisters trying to impose their views because they they (the people as well as their opinions) think they are important.
  9. Indeed. So badly written it presumes that Morton and QoS are part-time. Maybe they think the only full-time sides outwith the Premier are Dundee and Dundee Utd..
  10. I would suggest that @sweep is the man to believe here. As for Kennie, he hasn't been involved with Lugar for quite a while.
  11. Nope. Although I don't doubt they will apply now that Talbot and Glens have shown their hands. It isn't Hurlford either.
  12. Off the top of my head I think that 10 Ayrshire clubs have still to declare. And I believe at least one of those has already submitted an application.
  13. Indeed. That's why they currently lodge with Benburb.
  14. Surely they need to keep their own fans up to date, if nothing else.
  15. Unless there are a few non WRJFA clubs applying four would do. They operate in a 4 division league just now.
  16. Agreed. The season is gubbed, probably at every level now.
  17. He isn't getting it, is he? Thorniewood, and I dare say some others, need to have a good think about the implications of not applying very soon.
  18. Hardly rewriting history. Your account is quite detailed, and confirms that Whitletts were active in the successful attempt to change the league structure.
  19. The graphic is very helpful, particularly for folk who don't know much about the non-league structure in Scotland. They've got the number of teams /games in the Highland and EoS wrong. Minor thing though.
  20. IIRC did the proposal not originally come from St. Anthony's, and it did mention the fact that Central clubs could drop 2 levels away from the Super First, while the Ayrshire clubs could only ever drop 1 level from there? I think Whitletts were very active in pushing the proposal.
  21. Not necessarily. There have been suggestions of expanding the Premier by X amount of clubs, at least in a temporary basis.
  22. For applications to WoS. Not sure that's the case for EoS.
  23. No. It was 2 years ago. Forrest, Bell and Moore were the scorers.
  24. You'll be aware of this far more than me, but some of them aren't great at communicating at the best of times.
