  1. They're in the British Museum. The marbles, that is.
  2. I know, as are all Junior Cup matches. But not league games, at least not yet.
  3. I wonder if the beaks realise there is a difference between normal windspeeds and gusts. The gusts are strong but the normal wines are a good 20mph less. Looks like they've seen.a forecast detailing the strongest windspeeds i.e. the gusts
  4. The 40/50 mph windspeeds forecast are for gusts. The normal windspeed forecast for Auchinleck tomorrow is 20 odd mph.
  5. Not sure about Links Park, but the other 3 Angus grounds have segregation fences. Very rarely have I seen it enforced though, the gates are usually left open.
  6. Supported National Front, fan of Enoch Powell and expelled from UKIP for trying to broker a pact with the BNP.
  7. I was at primary school when G-Force battled Spectra in Battle of the Planets so yes, we are.
  8. I think you're right. I'm sure it's mentioned in one of Duncan Carmichael's books. Probably Volume 1 of The History of Ayr United.
  9. That was late 70s and early 80s. There was a programme in the 90s with a young actor who supported Ayr. No idea what it was called though.
  10. That's a bit before that. Late 80s I think, very early 90s at the latest.
  11. There was a children's programme around that time which featured a lad who was Ayr fan. Seem to remember one of the local rags publishing a story about it.
  12. All fine players. Rose must have chance, the bar isn't particularly high when it comes to Scotland central defenders.
  13. Hardly. Just pointing out that there could be a licensed club in the league next season.
  14. Still looks to me like the ball hits the back of McKenzie's shoulder. But I am needing my eyes tested.
  15. Somebody wants to tell these reporters that there is no such thing as the SFL pyramid.
  16. Looking forward to Traynor's next press release after that goal.
  17. I understand there are other clubs ready to jump as well. Don't know who they are mind you.
  18. Surely Wigtownshire would still have been aligned with Dumfries as D&G was a regional council and Wigtownshire became a districr council. Look on the bright side, when the bridge across the Irish Sea is built the Dumfries to Stranraer line might be reopened . Anyway apart from Girvan, and Ayr United Reserves for a brief time in the 40s, have any other Ayrshire sides played in the SoS? I'm just curious (excluding Bonnyton of course).
  19. By the looks of the scarf he was a Rangers fan. At least he went home disappointed.
  20. I would be surprised if any South Ayrshire clubs wanted to play in the SoS, or against some of the current clubs.. Even Girvan is a fair distance from either Stranraer or Newton Stewart and is closer to Ayr than either of those towns. Some East Ayrshire clubs are closer to D&G, such Glenafton and Craigmark.
  21. Poor access to public transport? Couple of minutes walk to Whitletts Road, which has loads of buses going up and down it, and fairly close to Newton on Ayr station. Come to think of it Ayr station is a lot closer to Somerset than other grounds are to the stations in their respective towns.
  22. The fact that someone faked tweets but couldn't spell is incredibly tinpot. I doubt they will be troubling the world of literature, or comedy.
