  1. Nope, but I would imagine they would considering they want a licence and have decent facilities. I wonder whether they are waiting for Talbot though.
  2. Yes, they have. I'll give you a clue. It's not Lugar.
  3. To be fair both Kilwinning and Whitletts have played their hand, and I've been told of another who haven't declared but will move. And it isn't Girvan, although I believe they are looking at the floodlight issue. P..S. Although I don't know the outcome of the meeting there was a proposal at the East Ayrshire Council Cabinet on Wednesday to plug the funding gap for Table's floodlights.k
  4. Yes, but which grade of lead do these pencils have?
  5. Hibs aren't the worst. Just wait till the Old Firm come calling.
  6. Very true. I know of one club who haven't declared yet, but are likely to move.
  7. There must be some committee members watching BSC v Hibs and thinking their club could have a piece of that. It's still a trickle in the West but hopefully it'll soon become a steady stream. I'm not convinced it will be a flood. Yet.
  8. I'm sure Mark Treanor was sent off for you guys, before Tommy Bryce and and someone else went for us (possibly Jim McCann).
  9. 17 September 1980- Ayr 2 Hamilton 1. My old man must have been feeling flush as he took me into the main stand. My second game was 5 November the same year, League Semi-Final First Leg against Dundee. At the time thought that would be a regular occurrence.
  10. Not any more, unfortunately. The Wallace is close to Newton on Ayr station but is tiny. Your best bet is the town centre. There are a few decent pubs near Ayr station, which is a 10-15 minute walk or a quick taxi ride to Somerset.
  11. Agreed. We'll just need to get to to the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals and draw the first game since a replay would likely be that midweek.
  12. Not going by last night's attendance you don't. You might want to buy a new calculator.
  13. The plan is to go back to Whitletts, where the 3g pitch is. A fair bit of work needs to be done before they can move, and I don't think the rugby club has sold Millbrae yet.
  14. As do Whitletts Vics currently, although they will move to a new stadium once the rugby club takes over Dam Park.
  15. Two I remember are Jim Hughes with a near forty yarder which crashed in off the bar against Morton shortly before Burley became manager, and long distance mazy run from Tommy Bryce against Raith a year or two later. Shankland's effort against Partick is still one of my favourites though.
  16. Exactly. There are clubs in the West interested in joining the pyramid. They would much rather have done it en masse, but if that isn't happening then they may be willing to join a new league. Like what happened in the East, if there is a trickle it will soon become a flood.
  17. They are for home fans, just bought mine. I would imagine away tickets will be available fairly soon. Prices are £18 / £12 / £6.
  18. You might find out soon enough. As far as I'm aware there's a planning application in for housing on the car park and on the site of the old railway depot behind the ground.
  19. The ref considered abandoning the game at one point (and probably should have done since we lost 4-2). As the second half progressed it became increasingly difficult to see the pitch markings.
  20. Craig Stevenson was a defender who came through the youth system. I think he played in a league against Partick, not sure if that was his only appearance.
  21. Not when they were fighting in the middle of Whitletts Road they weren't. Particularly the one waving the metal bar at all and sundry.
  22. It was 1-0. I think Fraser Campbell was the scorer. Two or three years later he was playing against us for Stranraer.
