  1. This could be 5-5. The 2 goals we lost against Morton were both from individual errors. Akinyemi will have a field day if we defend like that tomorrow. But again, we scored a great goal, missed an absolute sitter and could’ve scored a couple more with a bit more composure. What I’m trying to say is f*ck knows what the score will be.
  2. Can only echo the comments above. Morton deserved that. First half especially we seemed to be playing like the ball was a bomb. Lucky if we made 2 passes before it was launched long. A few times we got into decent positions at the edge of their box but either tried to overplay or had a half arsed shot blocked. Don’t know why Coyle changed things up. Williamson has to start on Saturday. Did more when he came on as a sub than McPake has all season. I’m not writing Johnny Kenny off at all, but he hasn’t looked great.
  3. I don’t like feeling this confident before any game. Will be delighted with any kind of win.
  4. Was gutted when we let Grant go, but Coyle clearly knew he had to. Loved him at QP, but injuries have clearly caught up with him. Genuinely sad reading that Clyde fans wouldn’t evenhave him in their starting 11!
  5. I’m not writing Kenny off at all, but get Williamson back in on Tuesday.
  6. Having watched the highlights back, I am indeed. Despite not showing either of Eze’s free headers from inside the 6 yard box, 4-2 seems more realistic.
  7. I genuinely have no issue with other teams fans calling us pish. Not precious whatsoever. The worrying thing for your mob is that it could have been 5 or 6 nil today. Conor McBride ffs!
  8. We dug those points out in the end which is incredibly pleasing considering we’ve a habit of conceding goals most weeks. First 20 minutes I thought we were poor but we weren’t punished. Defence deserves a lot of praise today. At the other end we genuinely could’ve scored 5 from corners alone. Raith couldn’t cope and big Eze could/should have had a hat trick today. Thought Mal Boateng and Dom Thomas were tremendous. Both do very different jobs and are key to how we play. Onwards and upwards! 🕷
  9. Should be a brilliant signing and I really hope he and Stenny do well this season. The issue with him for the past year seems to be nobody knows his best position. He’s been tried deep which doesn’t suit him, Ellis had him as a wide player for about a month which was just ridiculous. Brown just looks lost and in his performances this season just seemed to slow our game down. On his day he’s tremendous and I really hope he gets his confidence back.
  10. Aye credit where it’s due, he gave us an outball when we needed it and his direct running got us into some good positions. Grant Savoury btw. As others have said, get him tied up on a long term deal now. The boy is class and I can genuinely see us making money from him. Can only echo what everyone else has said regarding the setup at Cliftonville, from their social club to their supporters. Made to feel so welcome. A brilliant weekend. EDIT: Opening sentence is about Lewis Moore. Made and arse of quoting
  11. Clean sheets are for boring b*****ds. 6-3 QP.
  12. Some people’s football opinions amaze me. Shouldn’t be abusing your own players regardless, but what has Williamson done that could possibly make someone call him a clown? (I know there’s worse things to be called!) He’s been brilliant!
  13. That was strange. Admitted QP deserved to win but claimed Arbroath had more chances, particularly first half.
  14. Gaston is a tremendous keeper. We could’ve scored 3 or 4 in that first half. So, so proud of the team. Not keeping a clean sheet is frustrating but that just looks like the way it’s gonnae be this season and as long as we keep scoring I am all for it. The worry after f*cking it against Ayr was that the heads would drop within the squad. Genuinely don’t think there’s a chance of that under Coyle. Onwards and upwards QP!
  15. I totally agree. It isn’t “hoofball”, it’s very effective and the ability to mix it up is something we didn’t have under Ellis or McKinnon. McKinnon won us a league and I will always love him for that, but I think we skooshed League 2 because we had a far better squad of players than the rest of the league, rather than the type of football we played. Ellis started off ok but as you say the football was very predictable and we were found out very quickly under him. There is no doubt we are seeing the very best of Simon Murray since Coyle came in. His hard work off the ball is just as important as his ability on the ball. He pulls defenders out of position constantly and with Savoury and Williamson we have guys to step in and take full advantage of it. God bless the QP.
