I don't understand people saying we didn't get anything from last night There will be loads of patterns of play that will be analysed by Clark and the coaching staff. France were absolutely deadly in the transition so if we can learn when to try and use the ball and when to just not lose it that will help. Eventually we want to be able to actually stand a chance of beating these teams, pumping Sierra Leone or whatever isn't going to help us do that I want to see us play a team like Croatia or Czech Republic at home. Those mid size teams were our undoing at the last Euros.

Don't think anyone disgraced themself. Taylor shower why he's 4th choice, cooper was a bit off it and Patterson got slaughtered at times. Thought Ferguson looked good, pressed well and clever enough to avoid a booking for breaking up attacks. Looks like he can play anywhere across the midfield which is good for us. Brown looked lively and we had some nice link ups at times. Aside from that it's good experience for these boys. Gives Clark something to work on when we have similar fixtures in the NL or Euros proper

It uses the chess ELO system now which means every match there is a multiplier applied to your current rating based on the same factors as before. It means there is no timescale or drop-off of previous games, so yes I think that will mean that it will take a long time for historic matches to level out. Read this thread last night and found it quite interesting. Reasons given for Scotland never being good again: Xbox Public facilities being too expensive Coaching Being technically inferior to Lithuania Lack of poverty Not being middle class enough Jobs for the boys Lack of indoor facilities like Iceland Project Brave Playing on big pitches at a young age Celtic and Rangers signing all the best players Not capping young players early enough so they don't have enough caps Not completely disbanding the team to give youngsters a chance Armstrong, Tierney and Robertson not being technical enough It's good to see we've sorted all of that out in the space of 5 years tbh

Would have said the same about Robertson's time at Hull in the Barclays but it worked out to be a great education. Fairly sure he was in and out the team at the time and was considered not good enough defensively to begin with. Hopefully Patterson is just getting a similar education from Dycheball, maybe relegation to the Championship would work out well for him as well tbh .
