Do you think the referee just stands there in complete bewilderment as to what is going on
Checking for a penalty.
Yes it most likely is a penalty.
Before we send the referee to the screen, is there anything in the build up to stop it being awarded.
Yes, offside - no penalty.
Play on.You literally see this exact thing played out every single week down South in at least one game.
Yeh this. I can't believe Madden is trying to say that they'd send the ref over to the monitor, decide that it's a penalty and then draw the lines to see it's offside or not. Absolute nonsense

Porteous started again tonight.
Few Watford fans said he would have been motm but for a couple of rash decisions

He's got 5 years on McGinn so would expect to see him brought in whenever he starts to decline
Another factor is that we've been ***** with ******** over the last few years, in midfield anyway which has meant we haven't had much in the way of forced changes
*Not jinxing it before the Euros

For me the answer to that is clearly McGregor, I've nothing against McGregor before people go nuts.
But you have gilmour there ready to take over that deeper role.
McGregor for me is a guy that could have achieved alot more in terms of making the most of himself had he went abroad or down south to test himself at a higher level.
McGregor has been immense for Scotland

Commentator on the forest game the other day said that McKenna was dropped due to a contract dispute. I think he's said he won't sign a new deal and his contract is up next summer. Hopefully he gets a move away for a nominal fee rather than signing a pre-contract and languishing for another 6 months

It's strange to think of him being so tactically adept for Scotland considering he looks so consistently bewildered for his club.

@virginton @Mr.Blue We both know that DOT's views are off the wall, ridiculed and pilloried - and grossly inaccurate in all probability. But to occasionally check in and see the abuse that wee bloke takes on that toxic cesspit of 'Gordon's forum' = it's the absolute epitome of internet bullying. I have no idea how you sleep at night after some of the shite you and the likes of @Toby have directed towards him. Aye right enough - he may be a twat, he may have views different from your own - but he's also a human being with feelings and emotions. Cut the poor wee fucker some slack. Just agree to disagree, and have the intelligence and dignity to keep your typing fingers still, whilst learning that silence is often the most eloquent and effective response. This is 11 blokes kicking a fitba around some God-forsaken wart on the arsehole of Inverclyde. We're not splitting the atom, stopping global warming, curing cancer, or saving the world here.
I expect the usual roaster red flags incoming.
Best wishes from a cold, windy and rainy West Coast.
It's just words on a screen.
Are we talking about a grown man here?

Always a surprise to click on a Richey Edwards thread notification and it not be deleted already

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how this won't come back to bite the SG on the arse.

He was kicked f**k out of the other night, was a rough game for the ref. Bologna did well to overcome the shithouse tactics and were fairly comfortable by the end. Now in 4th with Europe in their sights. Would be good to see him on that stage

Is it pay at the gate? Local to me these days so will probably get along to it

It's really not that unusual for young players at elite clubs to be called up before they've established themselves at club level. Bobb at City is the perfect example

I follow Leyton Orient and have been to a few grounds watching away games, including a trip to Morecambe.
A few years ago when they got to the league one play-offs I remember thinking that the standard was quite high and that most teams in that league would give anyone outside of Celtic and Rangers a game.
The drop off in quality from league one to league two is astonishing though. It is a genuine farmer's league. A worse watch than our league one imo, which is ridiculous really, considering the wages being paid

First thought was McTominay, but I voted for Robbo. Scotland's best player and so consistently excellent that I think it's sometimes taken for granted.

Liverpool tend to play with inverted wingers, Mane, Salah, Diaz. It's actually pretty unusual for a winger these days who plays on the side he kicks with. Gets the most of them cutting inside.
Thought he was anonymous tonight but Liverpool basically played their u21s. It's not ideal for them to get run over the top and barely get a kick

Agreed. I was even impressed by his fouling. So many subtle ones that you can get booked for if you're not clever about it. That's exactly what you need in that position

Watching the Golazo show and showed some utter filth from wee Billy at the start of a move.
Was the sort of position deep in the defensive half that you think "for the love of god - do not lose it". Composure to take it in and slide it through the pressuring players legs and in front of a team mate to run on to and get up the park.
lovely stuff

I'm obviously biased but he's been the best player on the park tonight. Every good move they have starts from him. Even the goal, although the crucial pass comes from Gross

Resorting to accusations of sectarianism just to get a few bites on a football forum
Guess that's to be expected when you watch your team get effortlessly scudded 3-0, nothing else going for you really
