However it was Boyle that pushed Baird possibly as a result of Boyle being pushed into Baird by Lyle. Seems McInally's sight might be going. TBH I'd take him back at Peterhead. Probably be better than what we currently have as strikers. Would happily pay the £25 transfer fee myself. Unlikely to happen though as he left on bad terms demanding to leave.

Need to get a proven goal scorer in January. Some excellent play now but let down by the lack of finishing. McAllister and Lyle are showing the effects of age and injury but still good enough to share a game between them. Armour and Smith, however, are not good enough for this level.

Indeed he did. In fact, I think it was after a mini pre season tournament that Airdrie signed him from us.

Peterhead 18 Airdrie 35 according to the programme. Number of players of course. I guess Airdrie's includes reserves and youths but still a massive squad for this level.

Even this early in the season it's a six pointer. As poor as big Russell is apparently playing he would still be better than anything we currently have up front. If Montrose can score just once we're in trouble.

Don't think anyone could question Rory's commitment. He attends his brother's wedding on Saturday, turns up at the ground still in his suit and plays a game of football before returning to the wedding. Not to mention getting injections in his ankle so he can play with less pain rather than going for a necessary operation. The fact is that we currently don't have anyone near capable of replacing him.

Just to say mine has a few channels down but watched the Celtic game followed by the Rangers game and both were perfect in terms of streaming quality.

Rory is still far and away our best option up front which says a lot about the others strikers as he's clearly not the player he once was. What we need is someone to play alongside Rory with the ability to score goals and share the scoring responsibilities with him so we are less reliant on his goals. Lyle, although fit for his age also has a few injuries now and the two younger guys so far haven't shown any scoring threats or indeed the physical presence that we need. Bring back Andy Rodgers.

He's 35 now but very fit and still has all the skills. Like every other player at this level will have good days and bad days but if he's in the mood the good will definitely outnumber the bad. Played nearly 100 games for us over two seasons which says it all really especially with the amount of travelling he had to do. Should be an excellent signing for Stenny.
