  1. Hugh Gaffney looks thick as mince. He’s now opened his mouth and confirmed this.
  2. There was a Survation poll out yesterday, which despite the headlines and proclamations from yon Tories I found to be fairly positive. It was a multi choice on the constitutional future of the UK. It was commissioned by the 'Scottish independence referendum party'... UK Status quo- 36%.. Independence- 32% Devo Max- 17% https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/poll-support-for-scottish-independence-at-32-1-4683018
  3. WWE reporting on twitter that Vinnie Mac is to make some major 'sporting' announcement today. Any clued up cats with any ideas? (sorry if posted elsewhere)
  4. Whilst we all know Pep’s a complete fanny, you’ve got to laugh at all the Unionists giving advice on how best to entice them over to idea of a country running it’s own affairs. Do your own research but let’s face it lads you’ll never vote for it because it goes against what you believe in. Sad.
  5. The 2 options are Independence or staying within a hard/soft Brexit Britain. For people who you know believe in things- that is pretty high stakes yes. Its not a situation of the SNP’s making but they have forced their own hand somewhat.
  6. Sturgeon wants a referendum once the terms of Brexit are known. There will be one called by early 2019. No doubt you’re gonna tell me that she’ll not call one if the polls aren’t in her favour. People who say that are missing the point slightly. There is now no scenario that doesn’t present a huge amount of risk for the SNP. The (Indy) polls are consistent but aren’t the right side of the line, they may never be. But her miscalculation in misjudging the public mood, and prematurely sounding the IndyRef klaxon now means the troops she lead half way up the hill, will desert her (SNP) if she doesn’t go through with it. In that scenario the SNP is vulnerable come the next election and that risks Indy just as much as calling a Refrendum without the confidence of knowing you’ll win it. This is a huge year for the independence cause and it’s high risk stuff, all or nothing really.
  7. The majority of PMQ’s now is two completely incompetent leaders with shite patter completely failing to land any meaningful blows on each other. I mean the whole thing is ‘almost’ pointless anyway but with these two clowns its not even entertaining anymore. British (English) politics really is in some state.
  8. We are now in the bizarre position that Nigel Farage and Arron Banks support a 2nd Brexit referendum, yet Jeremy Corbyn does not. Corbyn Labour
  9. Yeh agree with this. The Ireland situation has changed everything. They’ll fudge it, they’ll dress it up as something else but I’m starting to think the UK will have single market access etc. Don’t think it’ll go as far as abandoning the whole mess completely though. Being an SNP lad with an eye firmly on another Indy Ref the above scenario creates some real thinking for the leadership.
  10. There’s far more to politics than just campaigning. He is fucking shite at everything else. I’ve just read your post on the other thread describing him as inept. You can’t have it both ways.
  11. Competent at what exactly? Good campaigner I’ll give you but he’s a shit terrible political leader. He’s opposing the most inept Tory Government in my living memory and barely lays a glove on them. Absolutely useless.
  12. Well it looks like pro indy parties will have a majority- 70 seats Indy, 57 Anti & 8 neutral purple party. Popcorn time to see what happens next...
  13. Hahaha if you’re going to make a boob, might as well make it a good one.
  14. I never said it WAS bias. Clearly what they are reporting online is different (accurate) from what they reported late afternoon on radio today. I realise news moves quickly and that I have no evidence other than what I heard with my own ears but many other people will have been listening to radio Scotland around that time as well. I find it strange that we’re so accepting of how poor our pubically owned broadcaster is.
  15. My question really is why were they reporting a ‘disappointing low’ turnout on the radio around 16:30 with clearly no basis for that? They even had a Spanish political ‘expert’ on saying turnout is down from the last election because the last one was on a holiday. Is it down to sheer ineptitude?
  16. Turned on Channel 4 news to hear of a record election turnout. Not an hour ago Radio Scotland claimed it would be disappointingly around 40%, how can they get away with such ineptitude/bias (delet as appropriate)?
  17. Where you seeing that? BBC radio told me that the turnout was surprisingly poor. Shurely Auntie Beeb hasn’t lied to me?
  18. The most inept Governement and probably the most inept largest opposition party in my lifetime; absolutely useless at this politics stuff. Imagine the Scottish Government went through even half of the scandal etc. that Westminster goes through, yer Yoons would be uncontrollably seething.
  19. I like Andrew Wilson but have never been convinced that he’s the right man to be leading this up. I have similar concerns with others involved as well. It seems that we’ve left our best financial brains at the road side on this, as they’re busy doing other stuff. I hope to be proved wrong. A coherent and plausible strategy across the 3 main areas I believe they’re covering is really needed to get the wheels turning.
  20. Survation poll: 47% Yes 53% no. Not the right side of the line but a welcome boost to the good guys, I reckon.
  21. Just read Colin O'Neill's comments on Well Fans 2. What a fucking fanny And all the wee fan boys kissing his arse, embarrassing.
  22. I haven't seen it but he apparently had some Tory MP on the show, condemning Russia's record on LGBT rights. BUT HE'S JUST A PUPPET FOR PUTIN AND HE'S FAT!!!!!1
