Post was the Luncarty league record this season (FACT) and an opinion that "as away games go this is a good draw.".

I have seen the BU's slip up v several teams that on paper we should have beat but despite that I still think for an away tie in the Scottish Cup it is a good draw.......could have been a lot worse.

    Guess we were both correct

You got into the next round but Luncarty ran you close on the day.

No reason you cannot nick a result at Morton.

  2. I thought it was an enjoyable cup tie on Saturday and with a bit of luck Luncarty could have won that

The difference in the divisions showed in the end but it Bo'ness will hope to do to Morton what Luncarty did to them on Saturday. Luncarty had a really good spell at the start of the second half but just could not score

With regard to the long throw goal, it was so close to touching so many people but did go directly in. I dont normally take my camera to games but had been covering a local running festival in the morning so got these shots of the no goal.

Hamilton are at home to Kelty so might not be the Saturday. Think similar happened last season and Clyde were a 5.30 kick off - might be wrong on that though, can’t actually find anything about it.

Edit - aye Third Round last year, Hamilton and Clyde both drawn at home. Both played on the Saturday -Hamilton 2.30 kick off, Clyde 7.45 kick off.

id certainly consider going from Tynecaste to NDP if that were the case.

If you're going to play at Hampden with the main supporter demographic being 14 old Taylor Swift fans then at least play the games at the weekend.

"Hey maw, I'd want to go with ma pals see Scotland play at Hampden with 7.45 pm kick off on a Tuesday night"

"Get to your room ya dafty, you've got school tomorrow".

Thats something that UEFA would need to take into account, the games are on set dates of which the SFA have little or no control. TV at a guess would not be happy for these games to be at the weekend and with a double header there will always be a midweek element to one of the games.

  5. Any news on the date for the Clyde v Jeanfield game

Saints are at Hearts that weekend so if its not the Saturday i would guess Jeanfield will bring a decent support and after watching that game on Monday fancy their chances of making the 4th round.

It is interesting to see the bottom 3 and it looks like it does show there is a little standard difference between the Premier and the First... so at that level, the pyramid is leveling out.

Luncarty have lost a lot of games by 1 goal and have now started winning

Of the bottom 3 i think they do stand a chance of staying up, especially once the Scottish cup run ends as that's been a massive focus for the club.

It does however show the conferences did their job as you are correct,  things are leveling out

Working for me now, worth trying different cards if you have them.

If i try via my phone it says i have 2 tickets for each member of the group but i only have 1 and via the PC ive tried a few browsers and i get the same issue of either card failing and timing out.

I will try again this afternoon

  8. On the Saturday between Spain and France we took the 140km train from Seville to Cordoba for a bit of tourist stuff and the Cordoba v Merida game in the Spanish 3rd tier

A great welcome from the locals who invited us into their supporters bar at the stadium , ticket office sorted us out with tickets in the loud section next to the Ultras and a game that had both captains sent off in the first 30 minutes was great value for 10€

    Cordoba 2-1 Merida 14/10/23 - attendance given as 9973

Smart stadium with everything in club colours, 2 tiers in every stand, one random floodlight and a great club anthem as the teams come out

  9. Senegal 1-0 Cameroon .16/10/23  I think this is my most random match yet.

One that seemed to miss most of the tartan army was the fact that Senegal were playing Cameron last Monday in Lens around 20 miles from Lille

Part of the issue may have been the lack of transport back but we did it by Uber of 60€ which was not bad for 4 of us.

Chaotic to get in, crowd lively in a good way and the bonus of terracing , pints and some top quality players for 14.75€ as they made the tickets half price the day before the game

A penalty by Sadio Mane won the game for Senegal

Actually it would mean just one would miss out, as the top two would qualify through the group and the next two would then be the two best "non qualifying" host nations who'd then receive a qualifying spot.

So Northern Ireland , which will be what will happen anyway.

  11. The last 2 in our group got individually on Saturday at 10am and 1pm, with the one at 1pm being number 1676

I can only assume the other numbers must be failed tickets in the system that they then put on sale

Consequently they have 2 tickets together in the home end for sale for anyone who is looking.

😂 I actually met the bold ‘Flax’ recently and he seemed alright.

Oh he seems alright and talks very loudly about everything

I was recently at a Scone Thistle away game and he was ahead of me in the pie queue talking at the top of his voice so everyone could here "No, i cannot make Friday as im playing golf with Callum Davidson"

Everyone in the Midland league was surprised he'd got the Saints gig so the results do not surprise me in any way.

I'd imagine the qualifiers aren't going to be the last games we play prior to the tournament with the qualifiers ending in November. I'd think 2 or 3 friendlies in the months running up to the tournament or am I miles off here? Will potentially give people the opportunity for points.

I'm already staying in Spain when the game is on, booked on a bus to Seville but no idea if I'll get a ticket at the moment. Also booked France but again, hard to say if I'll even get a ticket to that either.

Not been to an away game in ages due to having young kids over the last few years, but still make all the home games, mad scramble now to try and get enough points for Germany it seems.

The tickets should go on sale for the teams who have qualified in December or early January, no need to wait until the spring and it lets people plan properly.

It would only be if we end up in the play off route that the tickets would go on sale in the spring as they hold back tickets for those teams as they did for us in 2021.

  14. There will also be those with higher points who will just not go due to personal circumstances.

One of our group has 15 points just now, has just bought his first house so turned down the chance to join us for any of the upcoming away games and has indicated that Germany is not in his plans right now.
