  1. Even leafleting achieves bugger all. Go talk to folk on the doorsteps, record what they are saying, get them out to vote on the day, it's a tried and tested method. Canvass, canvass, canvass....
  2. Half of Holyrood is. The other half are serial shaggers.
  3. As I've said repeatedly, I know plenty of really good folk in the SSP and Jim when I've met him over the years certainly is always worth listening to so I can't understand why they won't/don't get at least one. They just can't seem to get their act together.
  4. Slightly off topic, well massively, I see John Wittingdale, the culture secretary has been caught with a dominatrix prostitute. If the bloke wanted to be humiliated, punished shouted at, then not get any sex (and pay for the pleasure), he should just get married like the rest of us ffs!
  5. It's the persistent rumour that never dies - she tried to join and get selected for the SNP up in Aberdeen and was refused, she went off and joined labour instead. I think she's just about a sleeper agent these days. Of course she will espouse labour values (whatever the hell they are today) and she will ensure that she is competent enough to remain in the job, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is trying to move labour to a more neutral position for the next time we have a referendum.
  6. Not quite a beer review, but it looks like I'm heading up to the Glen Clova Beer Festival again this year. I will be rat arsed as per normal.
  7. Shotguns will be getting loaded at this point.
  8. Ouch, that's brutal for Labour and the Libs. Of course it's a SNP city, the wind was blowing the wrong way, Uranus was not aligned with the moon and so on. Cherry was the kippers coming last.
  9. Could it be made profitable? Of course, I've more chance of riding Drew Barrymore on Shergar during the ads, when Scotland win the World Cup, than Port Talbot has of being rescued by the current bunch of free market muppets. 'Welsh folk, they vote labour so screw them' is what is going through Dave's mind just now.
  10. How many Lib Dem MPs does it take to change a lightbulb? None, they have no access to power! Back at the ranch, I see Cameron is saying that he's doing everything to help out Port Talbot. Except nationalising it....
  11. I used to go there with my Granny to feed the ducks.
  12. Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream.... My and my mate are going to hit the bar prior to it, it will be a laugh!
  13. Blackadder 😉Edited to say, best not to tell you I was at La Boheme at the Prague State Opera House just before Christmas then!
  14. I'm going to the theatre on Saturday with a mate. A friend is also the director. Dead posh me.
  15. Will be about the closest I will get to a holiday this year...
  16. He's been telt all this but he's a socialist through and through and he won't change. Shame, because he gets in with most of the SNP down his part of the world, so much in fact that he was in the pub with most of the main folk last night, they would welcome him with open arms...
  17. Oh he gets it, the rest of them don't which is par for the course. He's banging his head against a wall trying to get his wee bit to modernise, but as everyone knows, the problem with any left wing party started when the second member joined. They all think they know best and there's no party discipline so it's like herding cats at best, open warfare at worst.
  18. Yeah, my mate's one of the organisers for the SSP out here, he has said that after seeing what we all got up to during the referendum, he now knows how to canvass and campaign. Standing on street corners ranting at the world is all good and well, but it doesn't win you seats. Canvass, canvass, canvass....
  19. I've a couple of mates in the SSP, they were all sitting getting fed screenshots last night (they are all banned from Solidarity's Facebook page) and munching away on popcorn. Comrade Tommy has blown it this time........ 😉
  20. Ah get it now, it's on the hob. Slow today.... Edit. - they've also raised the price of it to £75 according to my mate, I got it for £50 so feeling slightly smug he forgot to order...
