I don't think everyone on P&B is a bearded educated hipster. Just the better posters.

Nah, he was born in Cumbria at Ravenglass (and made in the royal navy)
(Having googled he could have come from anywhere that spoke a variation of Welsh at that time so we both have a claim)
And King Arthur's from Cumbria too, Somerset can f**k off

Arthur was from Edinburgh, hence the seat. Its referenced in Y Gododdin.

I'm not a Christian and I still take part in Easter and Christmas so I don't see why I should pass up one of the biggest communal drinking days in the calendar.
I'll also be donating £50 to Sinn Féin

Don't give them their ticket money back either

This is the press release from Capuano’s appointment in 2022.
This bit is significant: He will be responsible for leading the United Executive Team and all non-football parts of the Club. That seems reasonable given that he doesn’t have any relevant experience to lead the football parts.
So in effect Goodwin has free reign and no one will question him when he makes f**k ups like he did last night.
As an aside here’s a quote from him from the aforementioned press release: “My role as Operations Director at the Club last season allowed me to implement a number of structural and operational changes leading to increased direction and productivity throughout the Club.” Sound like management bullshitting for beginners.
Why are you being so negative? The owner has put a lot of his own money in and he's a successful businessman.

Who is Goodwin answerable to at the club? I’ve done an online search and cannot find an up to date management structure. Do we have anyone who does the ‘director of football’ role or equivalent?
Lungi Capuano. Its a job to him so no incentive to do anything.

There was a Sid Sweeney used to drink in Kiddies in Lochee. Are they related?

I don't mind the home one.
The overall theme and colour scheme is clearly a Euro 96 throwback and as a result will strike fear into the hearts of the Swiss.
The away one is an absolute disgrace.

@The SandDancer having a mad one in the TA forums. 50 posts in 24 hours is good going.
I'm not sure ripping the piss out of a half dozen posters who fall for it every time is a heads gone.

Invergowrie beats @Ken Deans by resignation. Well played mate.
Not much in but managed to get my nose in front, trade down and split some pawns for possibly my only win of this season.

Calum McGregors performances for Scotland are incredible.
The fact he can raise his game at international level despite playing year in year out at a small club who consistently struggle in Europe is a testament to his qualities.

TBF to Middleton that will be another assist for that ridiculous second goal. Surely one of the softest goals ever scored.

Townsend has spurned his inheritance
Running gun rugby is exciting but his legacy will be total underachievement

Second time in a week I have come out of a united match reasonably pleased. Opposition obviously rank but I liked what we did.
Only grumble is a 4-0 skoosh should be a free hit for Middleton and he still does nothing

I can't put my finger on why I can't stand Nutmeg.
I think it's an inverse snobbery going back to reading people Graeme Speirs where I have never liked the simple pleasures of Scottish football turned into pompous loquacious long reads.
A bit of it is also that I'd rather read Hugh McIlvanney than really poor imitations of Hugh McIlvanney. He broke the sports long read by being too good.

Strathspey have the licensed ground, club doctor, protecting people policies and everything else a licensed club needs.
Loch Ness have some kits that speccy loser groundhoppers like which would make less sense playing out of Grantown than the Moray Firth.

My for you tab used to be the far right and Indian lads with a blue tick and now it's just tragically bald dads and their witless banter replies to people I follow and I think I preferred the fash.

The Thompson's were pretty crap at it too.
What's our profit/loss table looking like (before benefactor loans) over the last 20 years?
And we've never won a European tie in that time, far less got near any group stage.
The Thompsons weren't trying to make a profit. ET was happy to plough his money and ST happy to take his salary and share options. They were still really bad a the whole running a sustainable football club too though.
You don't even have to win European ties to get European group stage football any more.
Even without European football other top flight clubs make money.
Indeed you could argue plenty money has been made from Utd recently just that none of it found its way to the owner.

I’m sure you can make money in the Moneybags Super tourist League.
As Oggy has found out, there is f**k all money in Scottish football.
That's not even remotely true. Ogren has just been really bad at it.
Scottish clubs reaching European group stage football should be achievable on a fraction of the budget required to do so.

My mums partner died and their kids got a cash payout equal to the value of their share of the moveable estate.
There is a gentleman's agreement that when my mum goes ill give them 50% of the house value.
I get some really nice Xmas presents from them and they are really good to me. Let's hope they can keep that up.
