  1. If you ask an American, "Hey man, I am looking to get Threads" then they will send you a clothes shop. I suspect you can get a DVD on eBay.
  2. Bunch of total nutters. Meanwhile on P & B, a more serious discussion is taking place on Ian Botham's anatomy.
  3. It really doesn't matter what George Galloway has to say about anything. He will always be remembered most for pretending to be a cat on Big Brother.
  4. What about a candle shop in Wick.
  5. I am getting really good at this. Really good at knowing very early on that I don't know the song at all.
  6. Schoolboy drives around, meets his parents but then needs help to get home.
  7. What about a chip shop: "Dumb Fries"
  8. Not necessarily. He might be into something dodgy which is why he asked us first.
  9. Speak to Business Gateway Dumfries and Galloway. They should be able to give you better advice than me - apart from my advice to go and talk to them, obviously.
  10. Okay. If the dictators in Argentina had won the Falklands War, they were very likely to have a go at Chile next. That is why Chile helped the UK in that conflict.
  11. Don't forget that Turkey is part of NATO and their final solution for the Armenians inspired Hitler to do similar to the Jews. I don't think Armenia loves Russia. I suspect it is simply they despise them less than their immediate neighbours.
  12. I believe you. I suspect Tajikistan see Russia as less bad than all its neighbours - and similarly Armenia.
  13. Maybe but I suspect the Russians remember the Nazis as the real b**tards who caused misery in WW2 whereas the Italian fascists, Romanians and so on were the useless idiots who were easily defeated in the battle of Stalingrad.
  14. There are a lot of crap borders in Europe (and elsewhere). The attitude of most European countries is "they are what they are". War is not the solution. Even if it was what went on for centuries. It is not so much that Putin is unstable. It is simply that nobody wants to be friends with Russia apart from the other kleptocracies. Maybe Armenia and Tajikistan for defence reasons but apart from that nobody.
  15. Before World War 2 and also before the EU, countries in Europe were constantly disputing borders, especially when a dictator was involved. After WW2, it was recognised that even if there were lots of silly borders, the issue should not be resolved by aggression. NATO did not care about dictatorships but the EU did (although I might be wrong). If Russia is allowed to take a bite out of Ukraine, where does it stop?
  16. You still haven't the one about a man offering cough drops during an argument, (not a prequel to the Dirty Dozen). Another big film.
  17. The insecticide was in a crop plane.
  18. North by Northwest. Shotgun got it first.
  19. Mine is easy too. The bit where our hero is almost killed by insecticide is a famous action sequence.
  20. Both are part of Putin's grand plans. The huge queues at Dover and Calais might be similar to the queues of people trying to flee the country. Both have led to shortages in supermarkets. People have fond memories of a happier time before either of these happened. I am sure there are other similarities.
  21. I think Brittany just wanted to be on the show. Her existing job did not help so she invented a business but probably doubted she would get this far. IMO
  22. I also added some more to the two clues on page 5.
