  1. Great resistance shown by England for a change but what the f**k is stokes doing? Entertaining as f**k but also a really predictable dismissal.

Just milk the spinner for 5 or 6 an over rather than trying to hit 36.

    Just stupid test match batting.

  2. It’s a terrific test match.  England haven’t been in many of them in the last year.  I’d make New Zealand slight favourites, but only just.
No way are New Zealand the favourites at the moment.

If root hangs on for an hour then England win easy, and even if he falls they can still scrape over the line.

  4. Not even remotely. Was a tremendous fight and he was in it all the way through, but I had Buatsi 116-112, maybe could have been 117-111 so scores were closer than I scored it tbh.

Both he and Eddie were talking about Bivol next if Canelo doesn’t take the immediate rematch. Should be a great fight.

He’s limited as f**k, but my god is Alen Babic fun to watch. Pure, unadulterated chaos. Never move him up. Just have him in life and death wars with taxi drivers on the co-main forever. I’d watch every one.
Buncey is calling you foolish for having it that wide.

He can accept the 115-113 but no more than that.

  5. I think my biggest problem is that eggs as food seems like the best idea in the world until you're actually cooking and eating them at which point you'd rather be doing literally anything else. Boiling them adds a level of aggravation that somehow makes it even less worthwhile.
You're underestimating the beauty of the humble egg.

I don't get to eat properly due to having a fucked up gut, and so I hook up to a drip every night. Eggs are generally a safe food, and so I've taken a great deal of time to learn the process.

I'm pretty sure I've watched every YouTube clip by every chef and wannabee chef on scrambled egg technique and omelettes. It's done, and there's a wonderful science to it.

I've also recently come to appreciate the joy of egg mayonnaise (a touch of mustard is the key).

  6. I have a vision of what I want everyone to be like but I know I can’t implement that. Everyone comes to work and does their job, maybe not the way I want them to but that’s my quandary.
The biggest thing I want is that everyone feels happy being there. There were times I hated the job for whatever reason and I want to be able to offer them a chance to sit down and talk about any issue they have if it ever arises. I have huge respect for all of them and I want to be able to offer everyone the chance to vent if they need to.
You're worrying too much, mate. You've got the experience, so trust your judgment.

Very simple rule in life. Treat folk the way you'd want to be treated yourself.

  7. What a roaster Campbell is.
    Total c**t of a man.
Dick Campbell really is a fud. How the hell is this guy revered as a character of Scottish football? I've seen better patter from old drunks on street corners
Absolute peak Pie & Bovril right here.

There's a common narrative out there and so the done thing on here is to take the exact opposite view. A right hot take.

Campbell has done a fantastic job with lower league clubs for years. He's not perfect by any means, but he's old-school, and deserves the little bit of limelight he's had this year.
  8. Quite the story in the Kentucky Derby. Horse bought for only $30,000 is 21st in the rankings so misses out on entry. Gets a call the day before the race saying another horse has pulled out. Given the worst starting position it comes from way back in the field to win at 80-1.

I'm not really into horse racing at all, but when sport is good it's good.

    That's unreal.

I love how the commentator's voice breaks as he was clearly caught out by the late run. You can't really blame him, though. In
  9. My wedding is now in less than two weeks. My involvement so far has been sorting the cake and getting told where I have to be and at what time. Luckily Dundee are straight down so I don't need to worry about missing any playoffs. I was hoping for more inspiration for my groom's speech from this and the best man thread but I have nothing so far.
It's an easy speech for the groom, and much harder for the best man.

You just need to thank everyone, and say how lovely all the women are looking. Use the opening line..."on behalf of my wife". It's an easy applause.

Be genuine. Don't drag it out.

  10. It’s a shame that it’s tarnished his time with us because I quite liked him. I’m more inclined to blame McCall for playing a guy who had just been out injured for a year and had only played a full 90 minutes that season.
Even so, a man of Higgins experience should be able to track a runner. I have tried to erase it from my memory.
That loss wasn't just doesn't to Higgins.

We were off the pace and Talbot are a good team. Far too many of our fans underestimated them. In
  11. What are you wittering on about? In a discussion about wanting or not wanting the ‘Old Firm, to win in Europe, I said that actively wanting them to win, to me, would be like me voting Conservative - I don’t do it.
    Away and read it again.
Aye, and as I said, it's a shite analogy.

It's a game of football ffs.

  12. There’s two choices, hope the bigot brothers win in Europe, or hope they lose. Weigh up the pros and cons, and as a fan of a diddy club, make your personal decision. My choice is I hope they get horsed. If you’re for them or against them in Europe, it makes no difference to their performances and results anyway, so why not sit on the ‘fcuk them’ side of the argument as a default position? In my opinion, actively wanting the uglies to win is, like voting Conservative, something I choose not to do.
Ironically, in the final, I think it might be better if they actually win. Less chance of their cnuts disgracing themselves, trashing Seville, and if the hordes are in celebratory mood, any serious trouble might be down to the German bawbags in the Eintracht support.

Comparing it to wanting the Tories to win is a shite analogy.

That has real-life consequences that can affect millions of folk in our poorest communities.
