  1. After I'd finished the main story I went back to White Orchard to finish any remaining ? on the map. I was ridiculously overpowered though and was destroying whole camps of bandits with just my fists.
  2. Yeah...2 points (1 for each win) divided by the 4 teams. 0.5 points extra. Points for wins/draws are doubled in the group stages.
  3. If they were to win both of their games then we would gain an extra 0.5 coefficient points overall.
  4. Ah okay, that makes more sense. The article states that we're currently ranked 25th, despite the fact that we're 23rd. Our cup winners will almost certainly go in at QR2 the following season then...and most likely next season too.
  5. As far as I can see the only possibility of all EL entrants starting in QR1 is if Cyprus and Bulgaria overtake us, which is extremely unlikely (particularly in Bulgaria's case). I saw this on the BBC gossip column (taken from the Daily Record), but I think they've got it wrong. 25th place in the coefficient have 3 teams entering at QR1, if you don't count the likely permutations that @craigkillie mentioned. However, we're not in 25th place, we're in 23rd and are unlikely to drop any places. As such our cup winner will enter in QR2. I think there was some confusion because on the Bert Kassies' access list for 2017/18 it has Scotland in 25th place, but this is just a label from the end of last season and not the final placings for this season. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/access2017.html - Access List http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2017.html - Current Rankings
  6. I finished the main story last night, it's one of the best games I've ever played. Luckily I've got the DLCs, so going to get stuck right into them. Is it okay to do them both concurrently or should I do them one at a time? As for the ending...I won't spoil it for anyone still playing, but I got a bad ending, which definitely put me in a bit of a huff. I enjoyed all of the nods to fairy tales, particularly snow white and the seven dwarves towards the end.
  7. Any Scottish person who uses the word 'lit' instead of 'like' sounds like they have a speech impediment.
  8. I was just having a look at this earlier today. I was expecting more changes to be honest. The only major one that affects Scotland is the fact that there's an extra round of qualifying for the CL, but that seems to affect most of the countries in and around us. It also states that only the top 10 nations (compared to top 12 previously) will gain automatic qualification to the group stage of the CL, but it's most likely that it will be the top 11 as I imagine the CL winner will generally also qualify via their league position. I suppose we're also in danger of finishing 25th, giving our cup winner an extra EL qualifying round, as we're due to start next season in 24th place.
  9. That's Israel overtaken us in the coefficient. Looks like we'll be finishing in 23rd, unless Ludogorets or APOEL go on to have really good EL campaigns.
  10. If Legia lose tonight then we'll finish 0.075 points behind Poland and as wastecoatwilly says Israel have a real chance of overtaking us on Thursday. If their two teams get the equivalent of a win (2 draws would do) between them then we'll be moving down to 23rd place. Overall it's an improvement on last season where we finished 25th on 17.3 points - we now have 18.925 points. However, at the start of next season we'll most likely be starting in 24th, so have a bit of catch up to do. As I've said before, I reckon we need two teams in group stage competition to get out of the early 20s and into the top 18.
  11. Apologies if this has been mentioned previously, but the Bloody Baron quest is the strangest thing I've ever seen in a game...
  12. I reckon it's quite likely that Israel will be overtaking us before the season is over. Both Israeli teams aren't in the qualifying positions at the moment, but both are in contention to still go through. I'd say that Hapoel Be'er Sheva have a hard task away to Southampton in their last game to get a result, but I'm sure they'll be up for the game and won't make it easy for Southampton. Maccabi Tel Aviv are at home to Dundalk, so they'll be looking to win. If they win and Celtic don't beat Manchester City then Israel will be moving ahead of Scotland into 22nd place. Scotland won't have any further opportunities to gain any points this season, but I don't think we have to worry about being overtaken by Azerbaijan or Cyprus (Norway already have all of their teams knocked out). Next season could be quite interesting with some countries (e.g. Sweden and Romania) due to lose relatively high scoring seasons. I really think that we need at least 2 teams in group stage competition to have any chance of making major inroads up the rankings table though.
  13. I got this last week, been looking forward to playing it for quite some time. I properly got stuck into tonight after doing the tutorial and a few starter things at the weekend. I'm already really enjoying it and love the info on the various creatures that gets updated as you go along. I'm just about to fight a noonwraith and then I'll take out the griffin, which I imagine will be much more difficult.
  14. Passed my PhD viva today, I plan to drink ALL the whisky tonight!
  15. That might be the case for individual club coefficients (although I didn't know this), but the country coefficient is a reflection of all results from Scottish teams in Europe. Celtic have contributed 9.5 points (including the 4 bonus points) to our overall tally of 16.5 which is divided by the number of teams involved (4). Of the 9.5, 3.5 points were gained during qualifying. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/ccoef2017.html The thing about the qualification games not counting for the club coefficient makes sense. They have 6.825 for this season (with the country contribution included), it just makes it more difficult for Celtic to increase their seeding to a pot 3 team. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2017.html Also, cheers for that link - I've never seen that page before.
  16. Not entirely true. Celtic should be taking advantage of playing more games in qualifying by earning points against weaker teams. If they'd managed to win more games then we'd likely be above Poland at the minute.
  17. It would add another 0.25 onto the total, so there wouldn't be any movement. A win or 2 draws would take us above Poland (if Legia continue to lose the rest of their fixtures) and it would also mitigate the loss of the points from the 12/13 season. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2017.html
  18. That's us moved above Norway into 22nd in the rankings.
  19. Croatia won the tie. If we do end up making the final then I believe it'll be held in Britain.
  20. The Babadook and The Visit were rather enjoyable if you haven't already seen them.
  21. I think a single draw would take us above Norway into 22nd place. We'd need to be wary of Israel catching us though, they still have 2 teams left in the EL.
  22. Yeah, certainly not going to be easy. Legia have a pretty tough group too (Real Madrid, Dortmund and Sporting), but Celtic will probably have to spend some money to get anything from the group whatsoever. Even then it will probably still be rather difficult to better Legia's results. On a different note - Sweden have just lost their only remaining representation in Europe as Qarabag have just beaten Gothenburg 3-1 on aggregate. I don't see us catching Sweden this year, unless Celtic can scrape 3rd place in the group and get some results in the EL. We have a good chance of overtaking them next season though.
  23. Poland have overtaken Norway into 21st place. If Rosenborg go out tonight (2-1 down to Austria Vienna) then Scotland should almost definitely overtake Norway too. I reckon 21st place is an achievable target for this season. This basically comes down to who does better in the CL - Legia Warsaw or Celtic. Things will hopefully become clearer after the draw at 5pm today. 20 - Sweden - 19.725 21 - Poland - 18.750 22 - Norway - 18.325 23 - Scotland - 18.175 24 - Israel - 16.500
