I don't think it's that mental a rumour. According to McMahon we're not totally skint, and I'd imagine the wage bill has gone down this month rather than up, with all the departures. Then on the other side, he's apparently OOC and I can imagine a lot of foreigners are wanting a move away from Israel ASAP with what's going on. We're in the last week of the window and that's not happened yet so club+ player might be a bit more amenable than they would be otherwise.

Ah fair, maybe explains why he's wanting a move abroad then. If we can extend "Israelis" to "people playing in Israel" then can include folk like Strain at St Mirren.

Say what you like about Israelis but I feel they always seem to do pretty well over here.

I take it Stevie didn't take his cursed amulet with him then

He did say pre-season that he wants to go 343 with wing backs but didn't have the personnel to do so and his recruitment last summer and in this window certainly seemed to rectify that.
That sounds a bit mental imo but aye anything that allows Scott to play as a wide forward with the freedom to drift in would probably suit him personally.

Of all the ex-players to end up with yous over the last few seasons I think Scott was probably the third best for us after Watt and Gallagher. I assume Robinson is planning on sticking with the 433 long term though as I don't see him fitting into a 352 particularly.

Starting to think St Mirren are getting the better end of this deal where they get half our team and we end up with the remains of Jon Obika

As every season goes on it looks more like the Turnbull/Campbell/Hastie cohort through to Mckinstry etc and maybe even Johnston is less of a golden generation and more that we've ripped the piss out of English sides and the Old Firm in transfer and compensation fees.
I mean I'd rather they all go on to have good careers but it is also quite funny.

Getting knocked back by Curtis Main and James Scott in the same window is a bit of a riddy. George Newell is about to tell us to f**k off any minute.

I thought Scott Burns was supposed to like us.

I like him as a player and its really encouraging on paper in terms of how it suggests Kettlewell is planning on setting up. Reckon he'll be shite.

I don't think he's been away long enough to merit the sort of misty eyed romanticism that Moult coming back did- for me at least. More just that we need somebody who can score 5 or 6 goals between now and the end of the season and he's the obvious candidate. If he does want to score every single week then that's fine too.

Fag packet stuff but if we pay KVV £6k a week- not suggesting that's the best use of our cash tbf- that'd be about £100kish between now and the end of May. Surely that's less than we'd be spending on a fee and wages for Nouble?

When are Blaney and Casey back? I don't love our CB options but unless they start regularly putting in Zak Jules against Dundee performances I'm not sure I'd be prioritising replacing any of them in this window.

Kev is an add on, surely, rather than the whole show?
Get KVV on The Terrace, say this to his face and sell it for £15 PPV imo.

Not sure if anyone has seen Up In The Air where George Clooney cuts about America as a freelancer paid to sack folk but I can imagine Ketts being a fan.

McGinlay can't play for anyone else can he?

County, Dundee and St Mirren all already have shite ex Motherwell strikers. Let us have the good one ffs.

For some reason I have a lot more faith in an Australian/New Zealander fullback than other positions. It's most similar to Rugby or Aussie Rules I suppose.

Bair's goal against Livi and the breaking of Cardoso's nose both brought me unquantifiable joy so I'm happy with this

I dunno if I'm just swinging too far towards the positive end of the spectrum to overcompensate but with all the upheaval of the last few seasons I'd be pretty happy to have somebody like Bair hanging about for another few years. He's never going to be your main #9 that you hang your hat on but as a squad option or a foil for another striker I'll take him over gambling on an Oli Shaw, Connor Shields, Joe Efford or Harry Smith every single season.

I like SOD's really niche gimmick of being able to play RWB or RCB but not RB

That first goal is genuinely a ridiculous finish from Spittal. Think it was maybe a bit underappreciated in the moment due to the brief second of confusion before it was awarded
