  1. There's still tonight to go Johnny, lets not get ahead ourselves - every chance someone else does something stupid or injures themselves yet
  2. Ffs, apparently we might only have 11 senior outfield players and two youth players available for the next game
  3. Doubt we can read anything much into that though, its just based on rumours and who people have put money down on. There was a tweet on oldfirmfacts where a random punter got listed as a potential candidate with nothing more than a fake wiki page and one of his mates contacting a betting company to place a bet on him.
  4. Thought he was signed as cheap cover for left back tbh. Tbf I'm probably happier seeing him cover in at CH than I am seeing Elliott in as CM
  5. Ashcroft needs surgery on a tendon in his hamstring (thought your hamstring was the tendon ?) and will be out for 12-16 weeks meaning he probably won't be back until March according to the courier. New CB required asap then
  6. Seriously hope not, has to be a better option out there like McCowan than him
  7. Was that not the story in pre season before he joined Caley? Think there is better out there than him but if McPake has been after him before I'd not be surprised if he's still chasing him
  8. Not sure tbh, maybe you have better contacts in the council but there was chat that they'd already done all that with sorting access from Bear being the last bit that had to be agreed. That was supposed to have been sorted out too and they were just waiting on getting the funding.
  9. No idea what stage they are at in terms of approval or whatever but the plans have definitely been gone over by both planning and building standards from what I know.
  10. Yeah no idea if that was him or if it was the coaching he was getting. The fact we still can't score would suggest its maybe something wrong at our end...
  11. To be fair though for all that was one of the shitest deals in the history of football, Boyle couldn't score in a barrel of fannies when he was with us
  12. Interview with Finn in the courier. He is talking it up and says he's learning a lot from Hartley, Fyvie and Logan. "Dundee youngster Fin Robertson says he is getting back to his best while on loan at League One Cove Rangers." https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2737125/fin-robertson-dundeefc-experience-cove-rangers-paul-hartley-next/
  13. Nah its fine, Nelms won't punt McPake until long after Yogi has retired
  14. He's probably out of our reach now but I still have a hope we'd be able to get big Morten Weighorst. Probably just me dreaming but he still seems to love the club and is obvs doing well in the game as assistant manager at Denmark - he could come in and do a job for us before Celtic poach him again like they did last time...
  15. How the f**k did that happen? Haha, my thoughts exactly when I saw Div's table too
  16. True, still amazed he's ridden out as many shambolic disasters to outlast everyone else though
  17. f**k me, McPake is now the longest serving Premiership manager
  18. Byrne to be out until christmas at the earliest... At least he doesn't need surgery but he'll still be a big miss. "Dundee have received welcome news on Shaun Byrne’s knee injury. The key midfielder found out today the problem does not require surgery after meeting with a specialist this afternoon. However, the timescale for recovery could still stretch into months. Byrne was stretchered off in the closing stages of the 2-1 win over Aberdeen last weekend. That came after a challenge with former Dee Declan Gallagher in the middle of the park. Dundee boss James McPake said: “We hope to have Shaun back between six to 12 weeks. We will just have to be patient with it but we are delighted for him and the club that he doesn’t need surgery." https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2681181/shaun-byrne-no-surgery-dundeefc-ruled-out-2022/
  19. Apparently the long throw was Cumdogs idea according to McPake. "Even before today he was in contention to start on Wednesday night [against Ross County]. He’s probably been disappointed [not to start] because his goal record at Dundee has been good. He’s a goalscorer and you always know when he’s in your team he is likely to get you a goal. It sums him up that we brought him over to give him some instructions and he said he was going to get the winner. He has confidence in himself and that’s great. He’ll be disappointed not to get the winner. He says he’ll score every game and he even talked Cammy Kerr into doing a long throw. We’ve been doing a long throw for three years and Cammy has never taken one – I’d like to say it was something we worked on but it wasn’t!" https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2678235/dundee-boss-james-mcpake-hails-real-desire-of-super-sub-jason-cummings-revealing-striker-talked-cammy-kerr-into-long-throw-that-led-to-hearts-equaliser/
  20. Yeah having the other guys back is definitely good, not sure we have anyone else that can play Byrne's position though but might be another change of position for McGhee incoming I guess
  21. I might be reading too much into these quotes from McPake but doesn't sound good about Byrne "We have to get a clearer picture on the full extent of the injury before we think about anything else. We have plenty of options in midfield if he is missing for a while. Shaun is a very important player for us and has been very consistent all year. And the club will back him whatever happens." https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2669136/dundeefc-squad-depth-key-covid-james-mcpake/
  22. Yeah don't know if it was just while he was up visiting family up here or what the deal was but McPake was in the paper saying he was wanting to try and find something down south closer to where he lives. + Yeah no idea if they feel it gives away too much by making stuff public but the 'mind games' about Charlie maybe coming back didn't exactly do us any favours
