  1. Was it not something embarrassing like £300k in three instalments, over three years, then some clauses to take it a wee bit higher. Sure their chairman had a fucking meltdown when it got rejected.
  2. Suggestion that our plan seems to be we'll give him an extra 12 months on contract in this window with a decent pay rise, then there'll be a bidding war in the Summer. Sure perthsaint1977 said there was an EPL side watching him last week, and there's been people claiming current Championship sides have been watching him since he was at you lot.
  3. tinpot as f**k, think we can safely ignore their chances of signing him.

    FIFA 19

I usually do but I'm not playing anymore so just chose via the app, hoped I'd get something exciting Love it when a Pro appears. I played some French boy once. Always assumed they all make it to Div 1, their squads seem incredible as they must just pump wages in.
  5. Had a frankly outrageous January window. Waiting a few weeks then sneaking a wee cash offer plus percentage of next fee for unhappy players running out of contract is paying dividends. Had restricted myself to a max of £400pw but the board hitched up the budget, and max wage allowed, my highest earner is now on £600pw. Starting from the back, my signings were Jack Hamilton (Gk, Dundee), Cammy Ballantyne (Rb, Raith), Scott Allardice (Cb, Cm, Morton), Steven Boyd (Cm, Hamilton), Botti Biabi (Rw, ICT), Kundai Benyu (Lw, Celtic) and finally Bruce Anderson (St, Aberdeen). All permanent deals. There'll be a huge swathe of players leaving in the Summer. We'd gone a bad run but have picked up again, 25 games in and have 31pts. Up to 6th on GD, 7pts off the play off, 6pts off 9th and 15 off 12th.
  6. If they can get a major fee they could afford to pay ~£1m, which is probably enough. Wages wouldn't be an issue. I don't think he'll go, he, and his agent, must be aware that far bigger clubs have been watching him for a long time. He'd be selling himself short joining them.
  7. I don't think they'll ever get high enough, they'll be using Lindsays fee as a gauge and it was woefully low as it is. Then again, apparently they're asking £5m for Lindsay from Stoke.
  8. Saints fan still seem split on him. He works hard and has a knack of being able to peel off at the back post and get chances, he'd started to get in the habit of missing easy chances with us though, although you could argue it's reassuring he was getting those chances. He never seemed to get a solid run of games for us, he played about five minutes on his debut before Cerny virtually murdered him and put him out for 5 months, came back and got a goal or two. Just unfortunate he couldn't stake his claim before we signed Watt.
  9. Feel like I'm taking over this thread Loving this team, absolute scenes if we can somehow get ourselves into the Play-Offs. I'm not worried about relegation at all, Morton are too far back and even if we collapse and County catch us, we should have enough to beat any League One side. Finances aren't great, only £16k in the bank, but by the stage over the past few seasons we'd be in the red already. If I could stumble up through the play-offs (Raith are currently the top flight team in 11th, Dundee United 12th), then that would be huge, even if we get humped every week. I should be able to survive that with my job in tact too. Definitely getting too carried away with promotion chat though
  10. Is that genuine? If it is it's no surprise you'd all be happy with Stubbs.
  11. Injured. There's no chance Kane will be leaving this window, in terms of outright strikers we've only him, Watt and young Calum Hendry.
  12. 12 games and I'm 8th, 8 points ahead of bottom placed Morton though. A proper battle to just get a point in this league, and we struggle with three games in a week so regularly. Since my last update I've managed to sign Wighton on loan from Hearts, Mark Ridgers from ICT, Conor O'Keefe from St Mirren, Andrew McDonald on loan from St Johnstone (starts at Stranraer) and brought Robert Thomson back, but from Hamilton where he'd to from Morton. Line up now is.. Ridgers Wardrop - Rose - Tom O'Brien - Mackie Docherty Dykes - Strachan O'Keefe Wighton Thomson O'Brien was signed from ICT last season and was first choice beside Barr, whos moved on to QOS. Strachan is a regen on loan from St Johnstone.
  13. Hes certainly capable at this level. Just unfortunate that Tomas Cerny tried to break him in half on his debut and put him out for the season and hes never really had a run as the first choice forward, MacLean and now Watt both more complete strikers. Only reason we're letting him go is to "balance the books".
  14. Hes started going through my posts by the looks of things, great stuff.
  15. I've never once seen Lennon use mental health issues to excuse any of his behaviours, if you post an example I'll apologise.
  16. Genuinely though, you made a "joke" about Cardiff getting their money back because their "item was never delivered", and now you're publicly shaming someone for daring to come out and talk about their depression. This isn't a case of you making a joke that folk don't find funny, this is a case of you being a massive fucking c**t in situations where it's just scummy to be that way, then lashing out at folk who says it's shite patter.
  17. You'd have thought you'd have learned after making jokes about Sala the day he went missing, tbh. Yet here you are, making jokes about someone who's admitted they struggle with their mental health. Mask truly slipped over the past few days.
  18. Does that mean Stubbs is a good choice though? You'd be idiots to hire him again, IMO.
  19. When you're paying one of the top six wages in the country, and that division contains part time sides, then failing to win 47% of your matches is terrible.
  20. No chance of McInnes or Clarke, clueless why they're even being named. Wright's more realistic but he just signed a contract to 2022 so the compensation would be mammoth.
  21. I'll no doubt be wrong, again, but I don't think he can play for anyone else this season, as he featured for us in the League Cup. On McMillan, he's better than Kane, but Watt is better than both, if one needs to go to help us keep him then the older one, who's probably easier to get rid of and potentially the higher earner, seems the best option.
  22. I've not played in weeks. I know what happens to Arthur, and I can't deal with that when it comes. Feels very Logan-y with him feeling very much like a world weary old cowboy who's just trying to get by the only way he knows how.
