  1. You realise he's likely to play against you in a few weeks, so should save the criticism until after seeing as he usually starts alright at clubs
  2. Tony Watt is on the verge of joining us, according to the media this morning..
  3. Be a test for the new dressing room, anyway. He's not a goalscorer which worries me, but we are desperately needing a striker who's a bit different, and he's certainly that. I highly doubt TW is a manager who'll stand for any of his shite either. Driver seems sensible as he can cover on the wing and at full back, which should save us needing to waste time on a left back.
  4. Kerrs my boy, there'll be posts about me crying about no new contract announcement a few Summers back, enough of your Gordon pish. Wouldn't be stunned if this is the season Ando drops out. Can see Kerr and Shaughnessy quite easily as first choice, with Gordon coming in when/if we use a three.
  5. That means that we will see nothing of him this season as he's left of the bench continually. We'll happily take him if you don't want him. Might be of interest to Aberdeen fans that's they switched to a 3-5-2 around the time Reynolds came on. GMS and McGinn "wing backs"
  6. Gauld proved himself in the Scottish top flight and got a multi-million pound move abroad. McKenna has jhad a good half season in the top flight and been fast tracked to the Scotland team. I'm not sure either is "light years" behind the other.
  7. He's 22. You're writing off a 22 year old. He's not even a year older than Scott McKenna.
  8. Scott Wright was your best player today, played on the right wing. Cosgrove looks absolutely dreadful, a proper cart horse who gives away more fouls than he has touches. You won't lose many headers with Devlin and McKenna.
  9. Decent run out by the way, Aberdeen didn't treat it as a testimonial and seemed quite up for it, a couple of hefty challenges in the first half. Not much point reading anything major into these games, Wright seems absolutely rapid and improved as things went on. Trialist looked handy and I'd sign him purely as he's a trialist. What's with Wotherspoon BTW? Fucking world beater in pre-season
  10. genuinely quite embarrassed this is the route you've chosen.
  11. Organised a rousing chant for during the match to encourage Brown out, just getting the posters made.
  12. It's not success unless you maintain it for more than six seasons, apparently. Who knew.
  13. It probably is, last accounts showed ~£2.7m. Yeah no doubt, I'm too busy making a "wake up sheeple" poster to take to the game today, hopefully start a campaign to oust Brown and his thieving ways before he destroys us.
  14. Steve Brown has his own business which makes his money, and has come out numerous times clarifying that the "savings" are there to help the club survive losses. He's not taken a penny out in his five seasons in charge. But you're right, one day he'll just run away with £3m in a backpack and St Johnstone will cease to exist, because none of us listened to you.
  15. It's the clubs. Not that you'll care, as you bring this up every few months as if it's some grand conspiracy you've rumbled regardless of all the facts that get presented.
  16. I'm disappointed we've not done more to offset the decline, transfers wise. We've taken in over £1.5m in sales, have almost £3m in the bank, and still haven't spent a fee. Regardless though, its daft to think we can, season after season, compete with Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts, who can all offer at least four times our weekly wage. We reached a point where to improve/maintain the squad, we'd have to go after the same players as those clubs, and what player would choose us over them? The only player who has recently is Scougall, and he's been entirely hit and miss.
  17. You're pretty naive if you don't think players regularly hope team mates struggle. Theyll want to play, and if someone's keeping you out the team your hardly going to enjoy it for a whole season.
  18. Lose 4-0 again? Some managers rattle others, I'd suggest you look at Wright against McNamara and figure out whether TW is actually raging because of McCann or if that's just how he is around certain managers, as he thinks it might give him an advantage. As I say, United used to regularly pump us once a season, McNamara, eventually, got obsessed with trying to GIRUY Wright he couldn't see what was happening on the pitch. Better hope McCanns not as daft.
  19. I think it's harsh to start claiming he's desperate for us to fail based on us only signing one player by the start of July, tbh, maybe just me though.
