  1. Aye that was it, something mental like £100k+Goodwillie, in January when Goodwillies contract expired that Summer.
  2. It was £1m. Sheffield Wednesday got the full fee they paid us back (£800k), and we had a 20% fee so got £200k. Are you not the guy who claimed we were going to make a swap deal with Aberdeen to reduce a fee they would be paying us, involving Goodwillie who was able to sign for us for free at that time.
  3. They spent £1m on him, I doubt they'll let him go for less than half of that.
  4. I'd rather play Stanic that Scobbie tbh. Easton story is just his agent flexing, I imagine.
  5. I'm quite happy to finally understand why Lomas and Robertson got on so well. So many mysterious line ups now explained.
  6. Even still, he's a massive player for Juventus and is linked with Barca/Real every week, so I assumed everyone knew who he was.
  7. How?! He's the best striker in the game, fairly easily I'd say. Will bang them in for nigh on 15 seasons on my saves.
  8. Anyone mentioned David Tanner saying Craig Clay is the latest youth product out Motherwells academy?
  9. Does anyone think Mannus will be gone in this window? Wondering as we're not allowing Mark Hurst to play for East Fife in the Cup.
  10. In the EPL they only use the figures when on the ball, for speed anyway. I'd assume it's the same in Germany, so, to go all American-y, it's his "fastest possession run" they use.
  11. Further research shows Sam Nicholson is outperforming him, despite only playing eight games this season. Nicholson is also younger.
  12. Aye, top half and a cup run would do me. Apparently be re-signing news in the next week, which is pleasing. I've literally just remembered Jason Kerr is out of contract again, that worries me.
  13. Agree with the final point. I can't see us finishing anywhere other than 5th
  14. TBF i was dead against us signing Goodwillie, so perhaps I'm too biased to see the same situation here
  15. Well yeah, but that's a fairly poor way of looking at it.
  16. He averaged a goal every 352 minutes for Sheffield Wednesday, not horrendous in that team (his figures were, from memory, the second best strike rate of the forwards at the club that season), especially when you consider he was in and out the team
  17. 2 goals and 4 assists in 20 league games this season. Probably puts him in the lower half of wingers tbh.
  18. Of course theres a gamble, he had a career defining injury and likely has zero confidence, which was a huge part of his game as his technique was, in reality, pretty poor. But he's a striker who scored nearly 30 goals up here, has moved for a combined £1.8m and has a Scotland cap, all within the last three years. He's still got reputation to spare, and I'd be surprised if anyone other than, Celtic wouldn't consider signing him.
  19. Hes clearly a big signing for teams up here, especially at Dundees level.
  20. I got sacked by Clyde and have ended up at Coleraine. Had no idea they used the same league set up as the Scottish Premiership.
  21. Aberdeens offer is the best financially for Preston, and the player trusts McInnes. He trusts Hartley aswell, but is still a Saints fan, and is still best mates with Saints fans, and understands the effect that would have. Both the player and the club see Aberdeens offer as the best offer, unless an English side comes in for him. The original story was based on the Hartley connection. Why on Earth would he deny being in for what would be a massive, and ambitious, signing, when he can just act coy and get all the more gullible fans onside for being so bold?
  22. The fact is seems based on the fact "Hartley managed him at Alloa" means it's not even worth my time worrying about. Especially when it's competing against McInnes, who was his first manager and the man who gave him his debut, and Aberdeen, who are willing to take a swathe of his £10k+ a week wages on
  23. It infuriates me when he takes a quick throw. 99% of the time it kills our attacks as he's throwing it to someone who has zero support due to the main striker taking the throw in. I screamed at him once for doing it, and it's the one time we almost scored from it. Stuck the finger up to me next time he went past.
  24. Yeah I know. I think that's his best role though. For all the quality he has in linking the play, it restricts us hugely as there's nobody as clinical as him from within the box. If we could get a striker who'll either take the responsibility of coming deep off him (FOUR TWO THREE ONE), or get one who'll run the channels and commit full backs, then I think we'll be a better side going forwards. Just now we're sort of just playing about with it, and if MacLean isn't playing well then we struggle.
