Complete speculation, as is my way, but I see Cammy Smith is apparently being recalled by Aberdeen from Dundee United. We came to close to loaning him before, and with his contract out in the summer, I wonder if we'll have an interest in bringing him in? Seems a similar situation to Shaughnessy Seems to prefer being a deeper striker (in fact he played CM for Aberdeen against us in the past). So would allow us a different option (Macca - Poacher, Cummins - Physical, Kane - Energy)

We were linked with him in the Summer, or last January, as has been said, he's massively unfit these days and seems to get trials based solely on the massive potential he once showed. Im not convinced he'd do well for you, but if he suddenly decided to knuckle down he'd be a standout in this country, chances of that are slim, though.

Hes been awful for a few months now, seems to easily outmuscled off the ball. I'd be gutted if he left us though, as his potential in there is huge, just needs to refine how to us his body.

I'll no doubt get utterly hounded for this, but I'd rather we just negotiated his release. He's clearly not good enough and really needs to avoid becoming similar to Caddis. If he hadn't hit form when we desperately needing a right winger, he'd probably have left in the summer.
