  1. For us they've decided to list Steven Anderson, despite the fact we signed him when he was 19. "coming through the ranks", indeed.
  2. He signed when the SPL season had already started. You genuinely believe Calderwood wouldn't be there, slap bang in the middle of two matchdays, on a weekday? Genuinely?
  3. Hes a UK wide known journalist who has a chance to promote the Scottish game to his English followers, and instead he completely mocks it.
  4. Derek Rae saying yesterday's game proves how poor the rest of the league is compared to Celtic, as even when they trail they just need to step up a gear. Tremendous.
  5. I imagine Paulo would combust if Aberdeen and Hibs had bigger stadiums than Hearts tbh, it's fortunate that Tynecastles getting expanded to the size it is.
  6. I think it's Mannus, Easton, Millar, Craig, Swanson, MacLean and Hunter left. Not certain on that though. Craig and Maclean apparently have extension clauses, and you'd assume Millar was re-sign. Mannus and Hunter will likely leave. So really it's just Easton and Swanson left. We've also got youngsters like Gordon, Kerr, Comrie and Mccawl going out of contract. Kerr has to be the priority there, Gordon and Comrie will hopefully agree another deal aswell.
  7. On a related note, whats the "usual" points tally of the team in 6th at the time of the split? Intrigued to see if the ultra competitive nature this season will see a much lower total needed.
  8. My career so far is Clyde (sacked after a season) - Coleraine (saved from relegation and sitting 2nd the next season when poached) - Macclesfield (saved from relegation, then finished 15th while winning the FA Trophy). Finally got to one star reputation and, due to horrendous finances at every club, I've finally started to get the first coaching badge. It's pretty disheartening starting with such a low reputation, getting turned down for interviews by Airdrie and Lincoln City were low points
  9. Not really, it's just negligence on their duty of reporting about Scottish football as a whole
  10. True. We then got told about how Hearts will be pushing for second now, before we got talked about as making a push for fourth. We're equal on points.
  11. They went to Firhill twice in the second half, one time we got three words before those commentating on the Hearts game started screeching over the report about Walker having a chance. It was pathetic.
  12. What were you expecting? We were always getting ignored tonight.
  13. St Johnstone v Aberdeen is a televised game every season, league would be worse off without it IMO
  14. TV companies don't give a f**k about the Edinburgh derby or Dundee derby, which is why the TV deal dropped despite them being in the top flight.
  15. I wasn't saying he'll be as good as Fisher. What I'm saying is people moaned when we signed Fisher that we didn't need another right back as we had enough defenders, then in the end Fisher was required. This could be similar.
  16. Tbh I'm coming around to this signing. A cheap young player, effectively on trial for six months, in a position where one of our players is a complete crock. If/when Watson gets injured, we're then down to five. Easton/Scobbie have had niggles in the past 18 months and Ando is probably due a red card. I'm sure folk said similar when we signed Fisher, and in the end he turned into an important part of the squad
  17. I made a mistake earlier, Smiths contract expires in the summer so he would be available to sign permanently.
  18. Aye, f**k Clive. Stefan, Stevie, or Miles, would be much better.
  19. Worth noting Ryan McGowan is now available. An experienced, versatile player who could likely cover the whole back four and central midfield positions.
  20. Fair enough. Was Gilchrist even fit when the decision to loan Gordon out came around? I've had it in my mind he's been injured the whole season so far. Also, upon thinking about it, I suppose it's better we let someone else's player rot in the stands while the likes of Gordon and Comrie get game time elsewhere. All hail Tommy.
  21. I'm fairly sure we can recall Gordon, as originally planned, at the end of February, fwiw.
  22. The fact he signed Gormley in the summer suggests he knows we need a new striker. The fact he's constantly rotated Kane and Cummins suggests he knows we need another option. Baffles me we've not even been linked with one, if MacLean gets injured, which he's due for, then we're utterly fucked.
  23. Robert Thomson suggests he'll be mainly for the U20 side. For some reason.
  24. Aye but Europe costs us money remember, we can't afford to spend the £2m "rainy day" fund incase we get relegated, in which case we'll just whittle it away with losses. A tremendous strategy from all involved.
