  1. Feels like we always run with manager, assistant, coach, so aye there would be no real place for Cleland. Not sure it would be a bad thing to have a completely new staff despite the "knows the club" thing apparently being important.
  2. It is, aye. You should probably appreciate how good you are at home against the OF more tbh. The only way you win is you have a lot of luck, Celtic are poor, and your own team gets everything right. They feel like they've stepped up a level from last season too, where they kind of went through the motions sometimes. This lot feel back to the best Rodgers sides where they suffocate you from the first minute and just don't ever let up.
  3. It's been nice in a way to see how much Kirk was actually influencing Leveins set up/decisions. Refuse to believe Kirk would just copy Levein after seeing him sacked and wanted to replace him, you'd surely change as much as you can to try and prove a point. Yet it's been almost identical to what it would be with Levein. No idea how any new manager sorts this now tbh, we've a shit squad which is now completely devoid of belief/confidence alongside a lack of ability. Scoreboard is going to look mental in the Championship, mind you.
  4. It's pretty much just a Falkirk fans who's complaining isn't it? There was never much hope IMO. Celtic play well and there's nothing any team in the league can do to prevent losing. Combine you playing badly and it'll be horsing. I'd be surprised if there's not a handful of 4/5/6 goal victories for them this season. It's a bit shit as it's almost impossible to compete against a well drilled side spanking £9m+ on players when you're signing free agents, but they're so well coached and so "on it" aswell that they make sure you don't stand a chance.
  5. Anyone who's not the captain is meant to get booked for doing that now.
  6. Because the referee gives them a free kick and books you. Scales played exactly the same for Aberdeen against us as he did tonight (bear hugs at every aerial ball, pulling shirts/arms every time a player goes past him) yet never gave away a free kick all night whereas for Aberdeen he was punished and booked.
  7. I did wonder about his "injury", the moment Celtic started getting going and ripping his side of defence open. Probably unfair though.
  8. I'd stop going if they get the East. I can barely deal with the amount there is when we get horsed but you invite even more in then you're just not even pretending to have home advantage. I hope Lynch did watch that too. Scale of the task laid bare and some outed themselves as either miles off it or too weak willed to be any use. GK and defence just levels below what we need.
  9. Meh, we're not particularly hard to beat or score against so against a confident Celtic in the mood this was kind of always inevitable. Add in missing Holt/Sidibeh/Kimpioka and it makes things even worse. No idea how this is sorted until January mind you. Goalkeeper and CBs aren't ones you'd want in the 2nd tier.
  10. Courier saying compensation now agreed with Larne, for Lynch and two coaches to follow him, and he'll be our next manager unless there's a "late change of heart". They say he was the top choice from the very start but a process had to be followed to make sure of that.
  11. Young ️ Experienced ️ Track record with young players ️ Tries to play "exciting" football ️ Fresh face for the club ️ Feels like the kind of boxes Webb would've wanted ticked? Not sure how he'll do, especially to begin with, but he'll need time and patience to stand any chance.
  12. Tiernan Lynch the first to be offered the job. Apparently compensation talks (rumoured to be 6 figures, which might be him and his brother who's assistant) and talks with Lynch himself started and they hope to have it done by Monday.
  13. I don't even remember Balde tbh It seemed like a really weird period of Celtic team where the standard felt kind of low but there were standouts. Did that change with Rodgers or what?
  14. I'm aware some Celtic fans have this weird defensive chip on their shoulder, but it's really not that deep m8. Just a lot of those players seem of a lower standard than what you've had recently and it was surprising to remember how bad your line up could be.
  15. It really is. As a whole, there's far more shit in Australia. Your best teams would struggle to make the top 4 regularly here while the rest would be in the Championship. The tempo/aggression is just miles apart and a lot of players in Australia just can't cope with that every week. Nisbet will likely cope because he's good enough, much like Cammy Devlin at Hearts, but the majority wouldn't.
  16. Yeah, I'm not angry or that, it just seemed like a really poor Celtic side. Zaluska in goals, Efe Ambrose in defence, Adam Matthews at right wing, Boerrighter on the left, Kayal/Johansen in the middle then Balde/Pukki up front. It's probably as bad a line up as you've put out in the last decade.
  17. I just remember the goal graphic on an old scoreboard of a ball going across it then something ("GOAL!!!"?) popping up straight after. Was class and the type of thing that you love as a younger fan.
  18. It sounds like Webb has hand picked Lynch from the very start, but went through a full process of accepting applications, interviewing as many as possible, shortlisting the favourites then speaking further, before rushing into anything. Sounds like Lynch remains the favourite throughout all this and there'll be a big push this weekend to convince him. To me that all seems like the best way he couldve done it? I'd rather that than him just go straight to Lynch and disregard alternatives.
  19. I can't see a single reason why Kettlewell would leave Motherwell for us.
  20. Eric Nicolson doesn't sound confident either Leven or Lynch will be persuaded to take it.
