  1. Prices are Gala 9/1 Coral Draw 11/2 Coral Elgin 4/9 SkyBet free money.
  2. Does it really matter though if uefa bring in this historical business though. Teams like ac Milan and lollerpool are gonna overtake Celtic anyway.
  3. I can't even see Celtic getting a win in this group. Think they'll be 4th by a mile.
  4. Who'd have thought education and hard work could be the way to improve your lot. Everyone knows that all you really need is a funny handshake.
  5. You'd think that the heads gone might've stopped by now but they continue to decapitate themselves left right and centre. Glorious.
  6. Ha ha. I half expected to get to the end of that statement and see the following. No surrender, WATP, FTP, GSTQ
  7. The SFA/SPFL should really come to some sort of agreement in advance with regard to semi-finals. To my way of thinking the only semi-finals that should be held at Hampden would be Celtic v Rangers, everything else, would be better at another neutral venue. Between Murrayfield, Ibrox, Parkhead, Easter Rd, Tynecastle and Pittodrie we have more than enough stadia to cater for a multitude of scenarios regarding both geographical considerations and the number of supporters that any given two clubs would take to a semi. The only caveat I'd have on that is that everyone wanting a ticket should be able to go. Although the atmosphere at the Aberdeen v St J league cup semi was outstanding as a sell-out at Tynie, there were probably a few people disappointed in that regard. A common point made is that we have nothing between 20,000 and 50,000, I think we do. Surely there are stadium configurations at Ibrox and Parkhead that would allow for segregation to be maintained and any capacity required to be satisfied.
  8. Why on earth did Celtic feel the need to put a statement out about hillsbrough. Absolutely pathetic.
  9. It's been a frustrating season and yes we've dropped some silly points and yes we probably will look back with a sense of what if. However, I think some of the criticisms of the board and of Deek are a bit harsh. People have said we need a b*****d in the middle of the park and we should've done something about it in January. We did, we got £200k together, probably not easy for AFC, and went to sign Tansey. Perhaps there should've been a back up target in place but Deek appears to know exactly who and what he wants and won't settle for a squad filler. (Although I acknowledge the signings of Parker and McLaughlin) I'm very confident he'll have assessed what we need (goalie to challenge rogers, rb if shay goes, cb as Taylor and Reynolds have gone backwards although I wouldn't give up on them yet, said b*****d in midfield and back up to Rooney) and will get it over the summer. I still think with our first choice 11 all firing we are a fearsome team. McLean, McGinn, Hayes and Rooney all on top form with Logan and Shinnie providing support in wide areas and we are pretty formidable. I suppose the worry is injuries and inconsistencies from those named have been the issue. I'm optimistic for next year and think we'll comfortably finish in the top 2.
  10. Bbc website saying a Scotsman an Englishman and an Irishman scoring for aberdeen today. Fail.
  11. Didn't realise that stat about picking up points from behind. I suppose as uncle ebbe once said, statistics and mini skirts. We'll have been behind more than they have. Still, been a great season but can't discount Hearts just yet for 2nd. Whatever happens, best time to be a red I've ever had.
  12. Bonkers darts from MvG, absolute privilege to be there for that.
  13. As has been said 2.5 - 0.5 in favour of the LL which has been on the go for what 3 or 4 years is ridiculous. Elgin are the only former HL side to be admitted to the league that have struggled, there are 2 (ok ICT were created) in the Prem, Peterhead at the top end of Lge 1 and even Elgin might get promoted this season. Half the teams in the Premiership are from Perth or North. Just because the central belt contains most of the population, we should structure our football around that, utter nonsense in my book. If football is not going to be meritocratic and based on something as loose as population then the whole thing is a bogey.
  14. Have we ever had a 'world class' player?? Can be argued that it's only the last 20-25 years that we've even been aware of footballers from all over the globe and since then we've not had anyone that I'd consider for that bracket.
  15. Peterheed and the Broch are both horrid places.
  16. When Hugh Dallas first came on the go as a ref, was he not listed as from Bonkle. Pretty sure he was.
  17. If I type into the website that I want to go from a to b then I expect the website to provide me with the cheapest way to do this. It doesn't. I don't think this is too much to ask.
  18. I think some of the point is that a customer shouldn't have to rake for the cheapest way to get from a to b, scotrail should be providing it. Breaking up journeys to stay on the same train is ridiculous.
  19. I don't think so. I actually looked up the course a couple of years ago and it did look to have evolved very well. I guess technology will have improved a lot since I was there and that will always help a course of this nature. There were just quite a lot of broken promises for us and we generally felt a bit let down by it. The only aspects I felt were enjoyable were the TV and Radio parts of the course. I'm glad they have learned from their mistakes though, a lot of us just got the feeling they were making it up as they went along.
  20. Aye it was Garner when I was there. Was in the first intake, let's just say my views on that course are very different but I guess it will have evolved over the years. We were the unfortunate guinea pigs I guess.
  21. How is the multi-media journalism at Caley and who's leading the course these days???
  22. Yeah the pricing can be a bewilderment. For instance, it's usually cheaper to get a return from Aberdeen to Glasgow than it is to Perth. In fact, it appears to go for any intermediate station you wish to travel too and it's frustrating as hell
  23. I find the service generally all right but it does get a bit annoying having 'dry trains' for the fitba. Only time I ever had to complain to them about anything was when my train was delayed by an hour coming back from visiting the (at the time) missus in Glasgow. Was trying to get back to Aberdeen in time for the first race of the Cheltenham Festival on the TV, meant I had to get a taxi from town out to the local (rather than the bus) and I applied to get the taxi fare paid back to me. They refused and gave me something like half the cost of my train ticket, which was about £5 because I'd booked it in advance, didn't even cover half the taxi fare. Was a bit miffed at that. I've also just e-mailed them to try and get some money back for the train tickets that I didn't use for the St Johnstone game that was called off at the beginning of the month, not holding my breath though.
