Had a week in Shetland during the Tall Ships. However we went off to Lewis 3 days later so I'm only getting round to sorting out the photos. Stayed with in-laws in Sandwick but went off up north for a couple of nights, to Yell and Fetlar. Only downside was not getting tickets for Peat & Diesel. 5000 tickets, sold out in a morning.
Hoswick from the road into Sandwick. Mossy Hill right, and Sumburgh Head in the distant centre.
Vaila Mae dwarfed by the big boat full of Sagas. Brian Wishart and Marc Chivers training some youngsters.
Fetlar. Genuinely the most bleak place I’ve ever been. 5/6 hours felt like 5/6 months.

Personally hope so. Can't take to him at all. Some bump on the limo he took from hook, who protected him like an absolute pro with it though tbf.
Did Jungle Jack or Hook feature at all on the pre-show? I only watched the main show.
Onto the event and some thoughts:
*Punk and Joe was beige. Shite finisher.
*FTR are an actual delight to watch. Proper tag team.
*Mox with the wooden sticks in his head!
Been thinking it for ages now but it’s definitely time the Blackpool Boredom Club were disbanded. Nothing remotely entertaining from them again as usual. Oh but there was forks, blood and a big swing…. Yaaaaawn.*Osprey best not get pushed beyond this event. Limmy-face that accent bruv.
*MJF v Adam Cole was excellent.
Couple of music observations:*Swerve Strickland has the actual worst theme tune in all of wrestling ever.
*Sting and Darby getting Seek & Destroy would’ve probably cost a pretty penny and would’ve been massive with a U.S crowd but it fell completely flat on the U.K crowd with the exception of a few old school Metallica fans.
*Jericho doing the Freddie was horrific as was continuing to sing (badly) and not letting the crowd finish Judas.

That “passing the torch” moment between ‘Taker and Wyatt is incredibly poignant now. All faces of Wyatt are easily the best gimmicks since ‘Taker.
My favourite thing about that moment - Wyatt’s face when ‘Taker whispers something to him, the Bray Wyatt character just ceases to be and what you just see the real life humble, respectful Windham Rotunda caught in a moment of almost childlike awe and respect for a true legend.

Max Christie leaving the Tranent managers role and Ian Little stepping up as manager
Said he still wants to be involved at Tranent though so they’ve invited him onto their committee.

I do not drive but even if I did, that would be an absolutely shite option compared to Cal Mac just producing their Ardrossan to Campbeltown ferries every summer weekend instead.
Agreed but seems a better option than just completely writing off a doable trip to Campbeltown.

CalMac breakfast. Nothing special apart from the Stornoway Black pudding.
Much fruitier tasting than any of the namesake I've ever had.
Just came on to say Stornoway pudding isn’t even the best black pudding on Lewis despite its widespread reputation and was going to recommend a far better option but looks like Don Diego is ITK…

If you ever get the chance to try the Ness black pudding from Lewis, to me , it is possibly the best you can taste
I love spreading it on toast with bacon and a runny egg
Correct! A visit to Cross Stores in Ness is a must. By a country mile the best black pudding I’ve ever had. Far superior to the Stornoway stuff.

What was the special element to the cask?
Cal Mac binning their entire season of ferries due to incompetence has sadly put Kintyre/Campbeltown out of reach for me this year.
Don’t know if you drive or not but it should still be relatively straightforward to do Kintyre/Campbeltown whether you’re driving or using bus services outwith ferries?
* Gourock > Dunoon on Western Ferry.
* Dunoon > Portavadie by road.
* Portavadie > Tarbert ferry (One of the few rarely cancelled by Calmac)
* Tarbert > Campbeltown by road.
Start trip early enough you’d be in Campbeltown before lunchtime and all afternoon to booze tour.

He and Big Bill were put together in the Blind Tag Eliminator. Two big hosses they got some popularity as a throwback tag team with a cool finisher.
They were there just to be an obstacle to MJF & Adam Cole. That's really where the double clothesline and bodyslam got over.
So yeah, fans liked them and they're making the most of it.
By the way I wish those 90s/00s steroid monsters worked like Brian Cage. He's bland personality wise, but he's able to keep pace with most of the smaller guys and decent mid-tier threat for TV matches.
Cage’s work was what prompted my criticism in the first place. Thought he looked slow and sloppy in the tag match with Big Bill like he’d only just learned how to do a couple of those hold/move sequences. Possibly much to do with his opponent right enough.

They also brought a bigger support than your mob normally bring.
Only cos Rangers play tomorrow and lots of folk refuse to pay you gate money. Love how that continues to make you angry
20 minutes ago, th1stleandr0se said:Serious question - do the two Bo'ness sides have different supports or do Bo'nessers generally support both and go to see whoever is at home or has the more attractive match?
Predominantly different, a small minority watch both and a few glory hunters defected completely when Max was making a James Blunt of BU and Athletic were running away with an amateurs league (also featuring Armadale).

Probably the one time I’ll say this but superb, well done Lithgy!

Just watched this past weeks Rampage… The Kingdom
Also, can anyone explain why Brian Cage has suddenly resurfaced and been getting quite a push after god knows how long he was off tv? He is absolutely dreadful to watch and a dire throwback to the 90s steroid beasts that Vince used to get erect for.

From the club that had a manager paying players wages and get a freebie for a ground incurring no costs. Freeloaders.
Unbelievable.
Time to bin your account when your posts are basically just copy/paste jobs of Auld Heid’s drivel. #Ridneck

Why is £7 quid ridiculous? The cost of everything has gone up. Do you think clubs dont have extensive overheads. £7 is very reasonable for football.
Maybe if Tranent’s sugar-daddy wasn’t throwing silly money on the squad he wouldn’t have to brass-neck it and try claw it back off the auld yins?
