I don’t think the way we played up to our front line worked when Dalziel was on the park. Long balls, missing Johnston and Porteous invariably came right back at us. Rovers were more physical and bossed us in the first half. We played more on the deck when Grant and Stevenson came on and looked much more threatening. We aren’t playing to our strengths, yet. There is promise in the squad and we will improve our league position from last season.

word is we are unlikely to see Stenhouse back this season.

    What’s the story with Stenhouse?

I had hoped the Hydro being built might have tempted them up but apparently not. They're the last band left I haven't seen I really need to see otherwise I wouldn't be bothering either.

They’re great live one of the best gigs I’ve been to. They’d sell out the Hydro no problem or be pretty close to it. I get bands of an age being selective with their gigs and tours (tbh PJ only “tour” the USA), but 2 gigs in Scotland in their entire career is really disappointing.

Happy Pearl Jam Registration Confirmation Day to all who celebrate. I believe @Empty It and @KnightswoodBear have signed up. What a world.

No gig in Scotland since 2000 and none on the horizon. Love em but they can suck my plums.

Been listening to Demolition Hammer recently.

Has to be the heaviest thrash metal album of all time

Not so much the vocals but reminds me a bit of Bestial Devestation/Morbid Visions era Sepultura.

I agree that there are no easy answers on how to handle this and certainly would not suggest handing control of the club over to people like that lock, stock and barrel.

This is it. There are no easy answers or a quick fix. I’m not even against the idea of a merger if the right people and a sound business model were in place, however at present this is absolutely not the case. I should also add that the only reason I’d support a merger is because I firmly believe Bo’ness just isn’t a big enough town to have two teams jostling over the same fan base, especially when the town already sees thousands leave every weekend to watch the old firm, the Edinburgh two, Falkirk and probably the odd other “big” team here and there.

f**k off and learn some basic social skills. The idea that there needs to be one rather than two Bo'ness clubs for there to be the maximum chance of further progression is nothing more than basic common sense.

I think the issue is that the other team are nothing more than an ego trip for a couple of individuals who have zero interest in doing anything to benefit the community club as a whole and have lied from day dot. Who’d want to get into bed with that and take a risk that we’ve seen sink ships all too many times when the money man/men get bored of their latest toy or their wealth isn’t enough to sustain it or achieve the dreams conjured up by their egos? Where are Bathgate and Hurlford now? Are Kelty even still flying high?

True progression requires sustainability, not a flash-in-the-pan approach. As much as I hate to say it, I look at that lot over the flints where the local community and sponsorships are the backbone of a long established successful club, albeit they’ve had a quiet few years.

A Certain ex banker has tried to f**k them over with rental costs,  looks like he succeeded.

Apologies for all the questions, just genuinely interested as clubs folding is an all too common occurrence these days…

Who’s the ex-banker? I take it he owns the ground? Does he have history with the club that he’d “f**k them over” or is it simply just greed?

Also why were Rosyth asked to leave Recreation Park before?

McArthur has missed a few games this season and the team has kept on rolling, he's a class player for sure and would be missed, but I don't think next season hinges on him.

Every good team needs a great keeper. Remains to be seen if Ruddy is that man.

Ruddy deserves a chance especially if Musa goes, but if he doesn’t turn out to be the keeper we need I wonder what the chances of getting Andy Murphy back are now that Hunts is the gaffer…🤔

I’d have him back in a heartbeat.

  9. This is probably a stupid question but where do you find the full interviews by Inside The Ropes??

I watch clips of the interviews all the time on YouTube and I get its  filmed at live shows but do the full shows not get made available somewhere?

I’ve looked in the podcasts on my phone and on the ITR website and also done a general online search but can’t find them anywhere.

I think you're letting how things ended sour your view of Max's term as BU boss, he took over from a team well out of a title race under Kerrigan to a league title and the East of Scotland CUp winners, hes the reason we're in the Lowland league now and saw us through the covid years with a very old squad. In Max We Trust was a fair motto based on those years, unfortunately when it came time to replace the old heads in the squad he wasnt the man to do it and things fell apart from there, and the less said about the disgraceful behaviour of him and Little in regards to the end of last season the better.

Exactly this. Max was a breath of fresh air after the Kerrigan shit-show and put together a good team with a “never beat” attitude which earned us some silverware.

It can't just be me who does a full on laugh at pretty much everything R-Truth does.

Wrestling and comedy are usually not the strongest of partners but his timing is constantly impeccable and you can see that he genuinely cracks folk up with that work with him.

His wee promo on Raw was brilliant.

There’s a video on YouTube about how loads of wrestlers fade into the background for a few months then get released at the end of their contract.

R-Truth was in the exact same situation for years but always earned a new contract because Vince absolutely loves him as does much of the roster for what his personality brings to the table. Like an ageing footballer who’s still a bit of a Jack-the-lad and kept on because he’s great for team spirit and morale.

I'd like to thank our friends at Camden brewery for the free tipple though.

I concur. Was a nice gesture. Just a pity it was bowfin 🤣

Ha, it's odd but not terrible! Worth a try I'd say.

Was 3 or 4 of us off here got a freebie wee case of this (plus an actual bottle of HP sauce) off Camden Brewery by getting their attention just by being a bunch of jaikies on Twitter. I didn’t have the heart to give Camden the harsh feedback this deserved! 🤣

Herdy and posse were enjoying the warm delights of the pie stall at half time. Second half may have given them food for thought.

Shoulda charged them double at the gate.
