The authorities will struggle to distinguish them anyway due to the same colours. I suppose fans want to be with their friends and peers however so they might want to be segregated.

Haha. Sorry pal. You're spot on in what you say though. As far as I can see, the only viable excuse for going for June 2nd is to make it the last match of the season. In which case, it's complete folly for all the reasons you have mentioned. The game can't be anywhere close to a showpiece when you have 28 lads who are out on their feet. I'd still love for someone to come on and state the reason which has been given by the SJFA for the decision. Someone must know.

I see it's listed on the SJFA website as Largs Thistle v Auchinleck Talbot. Does that mean it has been decided and Largs are the "home team"?

Although I see where you're coming from the reality of this year's schedule was;- Round 1- 15th September Round 2- 29th September Round 3- 27th October Round 4- 24th November Round 5- 26th January QF- 23rd February SF- 30th March & 6th April Nothing wrong with that format to me, except that when it comes to the final the top brass seem to have decided to waste all that sensible ground work and have it on June 2nd and, worse than that, without explanation. Unless someone can tell us what reason has been given by the SJFA?

Could well be Tommy. In all seriousness, someone must know the reason why the match hasn't been scheduled before June 2nd. Why should it be that everyone is left scratching their heads over the motive and no one explains? Club officials must have been told or if they haven't they have a responsibility to ask on behalf of their clubs, supporters and fans.

I was just going to let that one go and put it down to Talbot1978's strange superiority complex and obsession with my posts but now there are two of you I should respond. If in the world of sport you were only permitted to comment if you were a live spectator then it would very much be a minority pastime.
