The few times I watched Sean McIlroy play I felt he was off the pace and lacked confidence which was probably why he came off the bench so regularly. He undoubtedly has an eye for goal and is a smashing guy who always seems to be smiling. I’m glad he has made a move to, hopefully, first team football. Good luck Sean

uve lost me ? Two years ago, Hurlford v Talbot. 1-0 to Hurlford then Talbot score two late, late goals. That was the last time there was a good final.

I don't know Mr Sloan personally but the man is a stunning example of the craftsmanship of team leadership. Conducts himself properly and cares about every match it seems. Talbot has, and has had, it's fair share of heroes but, for me, Tucker is at the top of that list.

Ran out of superlatives for Talbot. Phenomenal in the literal sense of the word is the best description (Thanks Mr McInally). Congratulations to everyone involved with the club. The unbelievable work ethic continues both on and off the park. Mon the Talbot!

Talbot on good form and the whole squad have given Tucker decisions to make, having produced some good results in the last couple of matches, even though they have essentially been dead rubbers. Largs have also had some good results and haven't lost for a wee while iirc. Any predictions?

If that last part is true then it should be the death knell for any loyalty Talbot show to the Junior grade. The club have represented Junior Football positively for years now and that's what they get in return? Unreal. Who is to blame though? Is it the West region or the SJFA?

Because if they weren’t there then it would be impossible to roar at them from a metre away. After all the admission fee doesn’t just entitle you to watch a football match. You get to verbally abuse the person with the flag.
