Blast zone pish disappeared years ago I'm afraid.

Is that including some terracing with a few seats flung in and a main stand that would raise a few quid on the antique roadshow. We've built 3 new stands which is still one more than your lot.

I'd much rather we spent the cash on actually bringing in a couple of quality players for a change that would strengthen our team overall. As I mentioned previously Jeffries used to do this . Sell a quality player and use the cash to bring in 2 or 3 other good players so that you end up with a better side instead of simply trying to replace the outgoing player . It's time the fans got something back for their support. For too long we've been flogging our best talent and replacing them with inferior players. Most of us thought that as the bank balance improved this wouldn't happen so often but it's still happening. We don't need the money so let's spend it on a couple of players that will get the fans off their seats.

No loss apart from the fact we'll be back to being shit this season.

I'm sorry but bank balances aren't the reason why people buy season tickets every year. If I had any hope that this would allow Houstie to go out and bring in another two or three quality players( and I mean quality not the usual shirt fillers) then I wouldn't be so worried about him leaving. Hes our captain and a very versatile player. Anyone brought in to replace him wont be as good so the money has to be used to sign other players that will strengthen the team as a whole. Over to the bod to show us that they are actually loking for us to make another decent challenge for the league this season.

The board know though that we'll not get relegated. Aslong as that's the case and the bank balance is rosey their quite happy it would seem.

Christ Hibs have been doing the same for years and that's why your stuck down beside us. At least your bod now seem to have got a bit of backbone though.

Yip that's our bod for you. Just a shame the league isn't won on profits made in a season or we'd be odds on again this season. Getting a bit fed up with us selling all our talent now and replacing them with run of the mill journeyman . If we're bringing in decent cash its about time we started spending some decent amounts to make these sales worthwhile. Its getting pretty obvious that the board are happy to stay in this division and see our bank balance go up and up.

Typical stuff by the bod. Put the Rankin info out first to soften the blow of the Vaulks sale which will undoubtedly come later. I have no problems with him being an addition to the squad aslong as he isn't a vaulks replacement. There better be other signings in the pipeline or we'll struggle this season.

I'd also like to see us have a proper winger in the squad. We still lack a player with a bit of pace and trickery out wide. Sibbs is too slow as is Craigan. Hippolyte has a bit of pace but doesn't take a defender on enough. We have no one of that ilk in our team.

If Vaulks goes and it looks more and more likely now we should be using the cash to strengthen more than one area of the team. Back in Jeffries days you weren't so worried by your top players being sold on as he'd always use the money to make the team stronger as a whole. The deals done for the likes of Eddie may and Neil Duffy brought in players like Mojo, Kirk, McGowan , Ristic. McGrillen etc That needs to happen again or we're going to be stuck in this division for a whole lot longer.

Alston had that knack of scoring important goals as does Vaulks. If you take the two of them out your team then its not easy finding someone else who can do that. We really need the likes of Hippolyte to step up to the plate this season and get in on the goals or we could struggle a bit in that department.

If Hibs can carry their cup form over to the league they will win the division. However, as was seen last season a team who could beat the likes of Hearts, Aberdeen etc in cup games then managed to lose 8 times in the league including drubbings at home to the likes of Morton. I'm sure Celtic would loan Henderson anywhere if you made it worth their while cash wise.

I'd prefer to see McGrandles getting a good few run outs for Norwich reserves/youths before we look to bring him back. It was a shocker of an injury and its not easy to come back from those sorts of breaks.

The problem isn't so much the transfer fee even if its pretty large its the wages that come with a 500k player. H'ed need to be paid a fair few grand a week and that's going to cause ruptions in the rest of the squad never mind the fact that it turns a 500k player into a closer to million pound player over two season. That's why we need to keep hold of our good players. Its virtrually impossible for a club our size to replace the likes of vaulks unless we do so through the loan market.

The problem is that most of the bargains out there have been snapped up now the season has started and its mainly the dross like Rankin that's left. I'd have been happy with someone like Nicky Law as a replacement but its too late now. If he does go we should be on the phone to celtic and offer some of the cash for a years loan of Liam Henderson. I notice he wasn't quoted again the other night. A lot of the other clubs have brought in some decent loan signings so its going to be a really tough league this season. We need to be at our very best to make the playoffs never mind challenging for the league.

We did well getting decent cash for Higginbottom that's for sure. He's been piss poor since.

So we've got guys aligned to the club saying no bids have come in at all and yet the falkirk herald says there has. You'd think the herald would talk to the club first before spouting pish.

Rankines 33 for fecks sake. Vaulks is only 22. We've already got kerr in there whose in his 30s so the last thing we need to replace our captain is another golden oldie. We might as well admit now that we have no real intentions of making a real go of promotion this season or we wouldn't be flogging our captain to the first bidder that comes along.

Good move by the board to get the season ticket early bird sales over before selling one of your best players. You can bet the replacement won't be anywhere near as good either. Very disappointing if true but not surprising. He's a very important player for us as can be seen with today's performance. I think the bod are quite happy for us to Potter about in this league unfortunately.

Ross County just got half a million for Jackson bloody Irvine so we should be looking for a few hundred grand at least.

Yeah but he's still got a year to go on his contract. I'd rather he went for hee haw next summer rather than a pittance on the eve of the season starting.
