  1. I'd hope not. If Aberdeen are involved then we must be selling him on the cheap.
  2. Neither smith or cooper are anywhere near good enough for a side looking to win promotion to the top flight. Both will eventually end up in the seaside leagues where they belong.Watched the goal again tonight and im afraid leahys defending again left a lot to be desired. Twice he failed to put any pressure on tavernier crossing the ball. The first time he got away with it the second cost us the match. You cant stand 10 yards off a player that can put in quality balls like he can.
  3. Was gutted yesterday but then i remembted this morning that we'd managed to get rid of cooper at last and thats cheered me up a bit again. It always amazes me how a completely hopeless footballer like him can still keep getting gigs at a reasonable level despite continually doing nowt.
  4. You can stream rangers tv online for hee haw. Just turn the volume down so u dont have to listen to the ridiculously biased commentary.
  5. Thank feck coopers away. Total waste of a wage on a player that should be gracing the seaside leagues. Disappointed to hear that grants away. Looked a real prospect a few years back but it just hasnt happened for him for one reason or another.
  6. Unfortunately 'by mutual consent' usually means accompanied by a sizeable payoff.
  7. We badly need someone that can be a bit unorthodox in our squad. We've got too many similar players both starting and on the bench. I doubt he'll start many games for us to be honest but he'll add another dimension coming on in games like Saturday when we struggled to open up a well organised and committed side. Thought he played well against us in the last game at TFS and was surprised to see Hopkin take him off.
  8. To me he's exactly the type of player we're looking for. A wee bit unorthodox with pace and the ability to beat a man. Cooper is as slow as a week in the jail and struggles to beat eggs. Would certainly give us a new angle from the bench which we badly need just now the perfect example being last Saturday.
  9. So much for Dean Brett then. No guarantee he'll displace Muirhead. More likely to be a backup till the Summer now that Duffies away. Looks like we've given up on competing with the top two in the run in.
  10. At least we got over 100 appearances out of him which makes up for the fact we didnt get any cash for him. Wouldve been more if he hadnt been unfortunate with injuries.
  11. Would be a boost to see us use the cash to sign a couple of decent players before the window shuts.
  12. Blair looked very talented in the few games he did play. Hes been unfortunate in that centre midfield has been our strongest area in recent times but his time would have come though.
  13. Mcgrandles is only here till may and then hes back to norwich. We should be investing the money on signing players for the run in that are going to be around for the next couple of seasons. Mcgrandles was the best example for me though of how we should be working. Plays a decent number of first team games , constantly improving and then is sold for 500k plus. We get the benefit of him in the team and an excellent fee. With blair hes away to the first bid.
  14. To be fair most of them end up playing at a level above anything in Scotland just not the Premiership down south.
  15. Will believe it when I see it. So far its one central midfielder in, one out and a young unproven striker signed for next season in this window. Hardly inspiring. The conveyer belt will soon dry up if we keep on flogging off our young talent to the first bidder and before they've even been able to turn out on a regular basis for our first team. Never mind though we'll have a nice balance sheet to blow about at the AGM again this year.
  16. Paying a nominal fee for a striker and then loaning him back isn't doing anything for the run in this season I'm afraid. A bit of investment now and you never know what might happen.
  17. I agree its a worrying trend to start selling young players before they've even established themselves in our first team, especially when we're not struggling for cash. It wouldn't be so bad if we were actually investing this cash back in the team but you only have to look at this window to see that so far that aint the case. A loan signing we don't really need and a striker for next season is disappointing so far in my opinion when we had a chance to give Rangers and Hibs a real run for the money with a couple of inspired signings.
  18. Perhaps so but surely as part of a transfer we could persuade them to let some players come back to us. Its not as if we're talking about a single transfer here. They've taken three youngsters off our hands so far and maybe more in the pipeline.
  19. Arfield obviously has done pretty well since he left. Kingsley and Fulton have both been on the bench for Swansea recently. Its a huge step up from the scottish championship to the english premiership. My main gripe is that we dont get any of their surplus players coming our way on loan. Surely with the relationship we have with them some agreements could be reached. They must have a lot of players that would do a job for us.
  20. I thought he'd retired about half way through his first contract with us.
  21. Nah . Lets just stop teams winning promotion unless they've got a certain number of plastic seats.
  22. I don't see whats wrong with stating what your ideal top flight would be. Its only a piss about and as you say whose in the top flight should always be decided by what happens on the park and nothing else. Unfortunately that's not always been the case and Falkirk have suffered from that more than any other club in Scotland I'd say.
  23. Whoops knew I'd forgotten someone. To be honest it should be a top 16 league anyway.
  24. If I had to choose a top flight I'd go for Celtic Rangers Hearts Hibs DU Dundee Motherwell Falkirk Dunfermline St Mirren Aberdeen Kilmarnock Morton St Johnstone Partick Raith Not too far to travel apart from Aberdeen plus all have the basis of a decent away support at that level to hopefully improve the atmosphere at games. Some cracking fixtures. Will never happen nowadays as too many clubs are paying for past mismanagement and that's let the likes of ICT, Hamilton and RC overtake a lot of these clubs due to either substantial owner investment or having a bod in place who actually know what their doing.
