Nuggets couldn't really have asked for an easier night. OKC really struggled to put anything together but came up against a formidable offense. Really impressive.
  2. That was pish. 2nd REALLY bad performance on the bounce from us.
  3. That feels like a big result for us today. I was concerned about the physicality getting the better of us today but we were excellent at dealing with that and everything else Morton came at us with albeit most of their play was very poor and predictable. While we weren't great today I thought anytime we went forward we looked dangerous and were probably guilty of over playing sometimes but who cares in the end we came away with the 3 points. A wee added point on our play, for a team so comfortable on the ball we are sometimes very careless in simple possession, cut that out and who knows what our ceiling is. Mon the Diamonds
  4. Not really bothered about having a roof to be honest, just dress accordingly. Looking forward to returning to Cappielow today and hopeful of a win but our lack of physicality at times really gives me the fear. We tend to really struggle against teams that can mix it physically but hopefully there's more of the same type of performance from last week. I'd go for an unchanged 11 as we looked fairly fluid and comfortable last week. Heart says 2-1 Airdrie, head says 1-1.
  5. I was really worried about our defence coming up against the likes of Hamilton and Easton but I thought we limited them really well. The game as I expected was really close but I thought the difference in the teams up until the goal was the Raith were taking more shots or creating more passages of play ending in shots than us but thankfully we managed to see that out and take our chance when it came. I had a bit of a heads gone after last week's game and looking back I stand by some of what was said but credit where credit is due that was a great result today and backs up the idea that we will be a really tough nut to crack at home. Happy Saturday.
  6. That's pathetic. Had to watch on stream today due to illness. I'm afraid I'm about to go scatter gun in the heat of the moment. Today we were up against a well drilled, solid and established championship team with players that are able to mix it physically as well as skillfully. Our squad in the other hand just doesn't have those attributes, to start with two lightweight wingers who offer little to f**k all other than pace is criminal. Dropping Aiken for the manager himself seemed a 50/50 call at the time. The goals we lost were awful, so fucking soft. It's been well stated our recruitment has been bang average at best with a severe lack of proven championship players. The club may well have their reasons for this and the recruitment strategy but they must understand that a lack of investment could well see us straight back where we fought so hard for so long to get away from. A dangerous game to play. As for McCabe, I love the guy and think he will have a cracking career as a manager but the arrogance has to drop. There's more than one way to play and I fear our way could see us on the end of a few pumpings this season given our current squad choices. Fair fucks to Arbroath though, a team widely tipped for the drop that didn't even need to get put or 2nd gear to sweep us aside today. Solid team on that and previous weeks showings.

  8. Something so satisfying about seeing someone getting sat down to watch the calmest of finishes. Poetry.
  9. No one is saying we should sign am extra 3 or 4 midfielders but anyone looking at our squad and sees anything but a slight lack of depth is mental imo. For what it's worth we didn't disgrace ourselves today and keeping United to 2 after the start we had might be vital come the end of the season.
  10. 4th game in and our squad depth or lack of it is already showing signs in stretching, but what do we know?
  11. Firstly, it was an excellent win today and might prove to be really important come May. Frizzells sending off now highlights further way was being said in last the few pages. Our squad depth is awful but strangely we seem covered in midfield. Who do we reckon steps in next week? Telfer seems the obvious choice.
  12. What kind of fee we talking here? Shame he's not coming back on loan for the season as well.
  13. We were excellent today after the first 10 minutes, gave as good as we got. Another thing that today showed us was a few solid additions and we should be more than OK.
  14. I'll be in hospitality in this one which means I'll need to temper my inevitable frustration at the overplaying from the back when it's not on and our wingers inability to impose some physicality on the game as we struggle to put them in behind where their real strengths are. If we want to be staying up then home games need to be our bread and butter. Heart says home win but head says best we can hope for here is a score draw.
  15. The experienced players in the team should be able to understand when and when not to play from the back but they all conform to the high risk style of play, beyond frustrating as we handed most of Dunfermlines chances and their goal to them in the first half through sloppiness and over playing. The most worrying thing for me was that even if we wanted to mix up it we couldn't today because O'connor and McGregor have absolutely no strength and are so easily out battled that we lost the ball just as quick going long to them. I'm not overly worried yet but that was a great opportunity to get some ground between ourselves and the bottom of the table. 3 or 4 solid additions required on top of what we have already and we should be om though.
