  1. I'd like to see us going for a 4-4-2 with a narrow, packed central-midfield and see how that gets us on. I quite like the idea that this will let Tav and Wallace provide the width and, up-front, Herrera and Morelos / Miller link up. Plus, let our holding midfield players start play from deeper positions, rather than allow opposition to sit in. On the shiting it - optimistic scale, I've started to border toward 'slightly concerned' but the pre-season stuff doesn't really allow for fair assessment. Personally, in terms of friendlies just hoping nice weather and a few beers
  2. This is a brilliant game. Honestly, thought I had gone off games as didn't get into witcher, tomb raider, mass effect in the past wee while but really enjoying this. It looks great, and often I just enjoy stoating about looking at the graphics etc. The combat is tough and every enemy is a bit of a challenge. Even the side-quests are good fun. Def. recommend.
  3. The Marseille friendly tickets are just £15. Fancy big Bruno Alves and Dorrans to get some game time and look to see how a few of the other signings shape up now (intrigued to see Pena, hope he'll be a player). Would love to get down to Sheffield following week but cannae make it.
  4. A Most Wanted Man - 9/10 It reminded me a lot of the recent Tinker, Tailor, Solider Spy film re-make which was brilliant. It conveys an underlying uncertainty, mundanity, ennui as part of an innate feature of work in the secret services, but shifted out of the Cold War context. Philip Seymour Hoffman is outstanding, naturally, and the film genuinely left me guessing to the end. Cracking film, under-rated imo. Star Wars: Rogue One - 7/10 I ****ing love Star Wars and really enjoyed this. But, I thought it was a wee bit too long in the middle section which impacted on the overall quality. However, the last fifteen minutes or so were genuinely thrilling.
  5. [emoji3] P&B's favourite football commentator is on the case ... pls donaet!!1!
  6. Chris Grayling appears to be bordering on the edge of passive-aggressiveness and "f***ing raging about to deck some ****"
  7. Pleased with the games next month. Life is Strange has good reviews and seems like a good story-driven single-player game. Killing Floor has good reviews, similarly, but looks like a good pick-up and have-a-laugh multiplayer. Decent mix, quite fancy giving both a good go.
  8. Not too surprised with Halliday heading out. I'd would've wanted him to do well, but it is what it is. Personally, always liked Tav and would like to see him in the team next year. Perhaps, with better central def. and sitting midfield, his attacking abilities better utilised.
  9. Wee bump Tales from the Borderlands this month is genuinely a cracking game. It's a Tell Tale game, with all that involves, but it is really good. I've never played one of the regular Borderlands game, or even read anything about them etc., but I'm abut 2/3 way through this and would recommend this game. Good story, characters, voice actors, and keeps the interest. I enjoyed Walking Dead S1, and would put this on a similar level of quality.
  10. JJ is the no. 3 coach. Really pleased with the appointment, was one of the names I was hoping for https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/johansson-caixinhas-assistant/ RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB is delighted to confirm Jonatan Johansson as an assistant coach at the Club. Currently working as assistant manager with Finland’s national team, Jonatan brings a wealth of experience to the role and his extensive knowledge of Scottish football will be invaluable to the new management team. Johansson spent three successful years at Ibrox between 1997 and 2000 – scoring 25 times in 71 appearances – with 18 of his strikes coming during the Treble-winning campaign of season 1998-99. Johansson’s career began in Finland with Pargas IF before switching to TPS and FC Flora ahead of his move to Glasgow and he also enjoyed a productive spell in the English Premier League with Charlton Athletic followed by a loan spell at Norwich City. Malmo in Sweden was his next destination but he returned to Scotland to feature for Hibs and St Johnstone before ending his playing career back at TPS in 2011. As a coach, Jonatan spent three years in charge of Motherwell’s under-20 side – between 2012 and 2015 – before landing the Finland number two job in December. He retired with 106 full international caps for his country and is looking forward to taking up his new role with the Light Blues.
  11. That's us got Toral 'til the end of the season. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/gers-confirm-toral-capture/ Quite pleased with both Toral and Hyndman. As Bearwithme says, Toral seems to have been a really popular player with the Birmingham fans last season and Hyndman sounds like a player, so fingers crossed. Toral likes to get forward while Hyndman plays in front of the defence, it seems, and tries to start play wth direct passes. I can see the point of view that we need defender / striker etc. But, the system Warburton plays has been crying out for an attacking mid- and a mid-fielder who can play out from the back, so potentially these two are good fits. We need some goals to come from the midfield too. Fancy we'll see both of them at some point against Leipzig this weekend. The game is on Premier Sports (but hopefully find a stream )
  12. I reckon I've only travelled 0.2 Million light years (or whatever it is). I've jumped about four systems. I'm still kind of p***ing about getting money / resource slots / bigger ship before I plan to gun it to the centre. I was on a creepy planet last night with squid things floating still in the air - they didn't scan as animal or rock, but when you shoot them you get some sort of valuable chemical to trade. I'm fairly sure they move around when you've got your back turned to them (or I'm just imagining that, not sure )
  13. I've played through Journey a good 7 or 8 times now. Each time is slightly different depending on who you meet. Pleased there'll be a load more / new players from Plus now on. Cracking game, possibly one of my favourites. I've always been tempted by Lords of the Fallen too. It's supposed to be fairly middling Dark Souls knock-off, but might be worth a go. Also, Badland looks intriguing. Pretty good month all in all.
  14. I've managed to get myself lost in space last night. I was having a blast in my starting system -- my frozen, red planet and moons were full of gold and iron and I developed a good standing with the aliens who were mainly interested in trading the stuff. My plan was to hang about for a good while to save up for a big space-ship and then head toward the centre. I decided to jump to the next star system with my little starting ship just to try out the jump mechanic -- I ended up in the middle of a space-fight, I s*** it, so I turned around to jump back to my first star system but ended up clicking on the wrong direction and jumped to a completely different system. Now got no idea how to get back, and stuck with not much money and fairly barren planets. Jumping back on tonight to see if I can find a way back. I miss my red, frozen planet
  15. Aye, this is definitely the game I was hoping for. I managed to get off my first planet last night and it was great fun getting into space. Tonight, I touched down on a weird ocean planet with jagged islands, red, frozen and found an abandoned space settlement. I then traced an alien trader from a beacon beam who gave me some sort of map or other to a space station. Sounds like my plans for tomorrow night are sorted I've got no idea what I'm doing, where to go, what to collect etc. yet. I was sitting in my space-ship and couldn't help but thinking that it's cold outside, there's no kind atmosphere. I'm all alone, more or less. Let me fly far away from here ...
  16. I've got Firewatch sitting waiting for this Sunday morning, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture for next weekend
  17. I had been planning on waiting to see how the reviews get on but, after seeing a few Youtube videos and read a wee bit more, I've jumped straight in for a pre-order. It looks great. I'm particularly intrigued by the journey to the centre.
  18. Good to see Tom Walsh get a good bit of the game in the US. I'd be delighted to see him get a chance this season, as there's def. a decent player for us there.
  19. Gone Home has given me an itch for 'walking simulator' games if I'm being honest. It's not a genre I've played before, but really enjoyed it. More so than I thought I would, even though I slightly anticipated the ending. I had a blast. One of the appeals for me was being to sit down and finish it in one go. The only other game I've done that with was Journey and that was probably one of my favourite games. I was hoping to get a similar game as Gone Home this month with PS+, but I'll probably just download a couple of the suggestions above, cheers. I've heard good thing about Firewatch(?) so I'll give that a go too. I gave Furi quick shot last night as I could see the appeal in the idea, but it's poorly executed and quickly got deleted. Don't even fancy downloading the other one ... there's always next month
  20. It took me 3-and-a-half hours to get home last night - normally 30-45 mins. in the rush-hour. I was genuinely on the verge of tears by the end of it all
  21. Aye, it's been really noticeable since the start of last season. Some cracking videos combined with consistent news / press conference / updates etc.
  22. I enjoy these type of time-lapse videos our Youtube channel put together. Got Burnley again in a pre-season friendly -- 30 July. Quite fancy catching that game along with a few of the League Cup games; in the sun, and see how we line-up etc.
