  1. Well that was a very enjoyable game of football and a great advert for the Scottish Championship. Thistle have a decent team but seem to blow hot and cold and certainly didn’t turn up until after H/T. Absolutely love this Raith team at the moment they just don’t give up 2-0 up and cruising and then an absolute disaster sees Thistle with their tails up and looking like they’ve destroyed us with 3 goals.  Couple of changes and we come back to win it AGAIN! I don’t know if IM can somehow keep this run going but god it’s great to watch.  If (always a big if) we can get a result up at Arbroath that’ll put serious distance between us snd 3rd place setting up a cracking game with Dundee Utd.

  2. Tough game, was at the reverse fixture where Thistle should have won but took their foot off the gas at 2-0 and were punished. Thistle seem to be blowing hot and cold but are clearly to me the other team who’ll be in the top four (DUFC, RRFC, PTFC and ???). We’re high on confidence but we’ll need to be at our best to win this one. I hope Brian Graham is out as suggested above as he’s a hell of a striker as we know at Raith. Any win here would be awesome.

Jesus a wee look on Twitter and there’s a few DABs embarrassing themselves with weird claims about late Rovers goals / penalties.  Aye that’s right there’s a conspiracy by the SFA and SPFL to keep DUFC down and get RRFC up 😂. I’ve no doubt some of our roasters were exactly the same during the Arbroath winning league 1 season.

f**k me, they're taunting us now!

I'm thinking (hoping?) the players need a focus to bring them back to form, perhaps the contiguity of Raith Rovers is just that.

Na bud we’re just riding the wave right now, don’t think any of our fans seriously believe we can challenge Dundee Utd for the league but we’re enjoying the ride so far this season. Ultimately your strength in depth should be too much for the other 9 teams in this division and I’m sure you’ve got the resources to bring in a player or two come January if you’re not clear of us.  Looking forward to our away day to Tannadice not been before and hopefully we’ll bring a good support up.

  5. Missed the game today, listened on Raith TV. Sounded like a decent match Rovers doing everything but scoring, Caley hitting us with the sucker punch from a good cross, Caley turning the screw and big Kev saving us from 2-0 then the turnaround for us to sucker punch Caley.  Won’t feel sorry for you lads as we’ve had more than our fair share of bad luck in this fixture over the past two decades with many sucker punches. Anyway great result for us to keep the pressure on Dundee Utd.

  6. Must be Inverness’s turn to go two decades without a win in this fixture, it’s only fair.

Tough one, we all know our record in this fixture speaks for itself but having finally gotten the win will the monkey now be off our backs?  We’re flying in terms of confidence at the moment but this is a much improved Inverness team after changing manager who are on a good run themselves and have home advantage.  Hopefully we’re a bit stronger at the back as ICT will surely offer more going forward than the Pars managed on Friday.  Interesting to see how we line up for this one but if the team can put in a shift like Friday maybe we might finally leave the Highlands with the points. Hopefully the weather holds off until after this one but it’s certainly feeling like it’s coming soon.

Thought the police may move the Hearts tie but I see Ainslie's capacity is 3612 so no reason it should be moved. Well, apart from the police being the police of course.

Don't get the attraction of Clyde v Aberdeen. Forfar v Hibs would better for the BBC's love of a potential upset. A real old fashioned ground and you'd get a great atmosphere. They might also be tempted by Ross County v Partick given what happened in the play-off. But of course our public broadcaster is a law unto themselves so will probably go for Brora v Cove as both teams are called Rangers.

Could be a few penalties in that game then.

3rd time in 5 years for that fixture in the same round. Difference being we had a good team in the previous 2 fixtures.

At least it’s a game where no one will moan about the pitch 😂. Shite draw for both teams met too many times recently.

Pros - Livingston are not playing well, Easy to get to, more winnable than some possible away days.
Negatives - Pretty boring away day, we’ve met several times recently, we always lose.

Saw this on Twitter/X earlier. The results of the wee morons throwing flares into their own fanbase. Could have been much worse but still. No consequences I bet either. Someone needs to find them and hammer them.

Absolute brainless wee fud that threw that, throwing pyrotechnics at anytime is pretty stupid but to launch it from the back of a stand and not realise it could hit someone at the front is beyond stupidity.  Lucky all it did was burn her coat! Young lads are good at trying to create an atmosphere but this was sheer brainless behaviour.

  10. Got a ticket so will be heading through for this one.

Bit of a strange one as it’s pretty mooted for a derby game but 6 a season is just too many and the reason we should bin 10 team leagues IMO. Not overly arsed if we were to lose this one, don’t get me wrong I’d always rather we beat the Pars but this season the league should be our priority.  If this was a couple of rounds later it’d be different I’m sure. Not been much between the teams the last 3 games so expect a close match again. Our defence looks weaker but with Hamilton back we’re stronger a the other end. Hopefully an entertaining game to take the chill off.

  11. I see from Social Media the away shirts are now not available until at least January! Pretty shocking considering they sold out within days of initial release.  Not sure if Rovers failed to order enough or Joma supply is just bad but that’s extremely poor commercial business somewhere in the chain.  You’re also expecting people to pay full price for a shirt that’s already halfway through the season.

Queen's Park apparently aspire to be in the Premiership but have built a ground that is League 1 at best.

Their plan was seemingly to use Lesser was 'regular' league games then use Hampden for games against Sevco and Celtic, selling circa 45k tickets 3/4 times a season at minimum (depending on fixtures and where they'd theoretically finish).

A total nonsense. Hopefully the SFA would tell them bolt should Queen's ever get promotion. They already make Queen's play games on a Friday if Hampden is needed midweek.

The Queen's board have absolutely rinsed their fanbase. They sold Hampden for a total steal and have somehow spent years trying to build a ridiculously tiny ground (aside from East Fife and Dumbarton, who have one stand, I think Lesssr would be be the smallest capacity ground in the SPFL) that they can't use yet, so they're paying the SFA to use Hampden.

In effect they've basically made a really good training ground the national teams for the SFA at either little cost or no cost when the total of all their rent is added up, all to end up with a terrible ground with a ridiculously limited capacity, which limits their growth too.

    Yikes.

Absolutely no idea what the QPFC boards plan was with Lesser Hampden and neither do they it seems. As you say ambition to play top flight football but build a stadium smaller than East Fifes one stand. Surely they need a minimum of 6000 capacity if they want top flight (I know it’s not a rule anymore but anything less is not fit for purpose at that level). The move Celtic and Rangers games to Hampden should be a total non starter too, your ground is your ground. I also can’t see the other clubs being ok with a small away allocation while the Old Firm get 40,000+ and QPFC give up home advantage for them.

It was great to see QPFC finally go professional but they really need to sort their board out before they piss away the money they got from selling Hampden.  Lesser should have been a simple stadium initially build two seated stands on either side and if they get up add two terraces behind the goals.  As Scotlands oldest club I’ve got a soft spot for QPFC and their interesting history so hopefully they get their stadium sorted soon as Lesser currently looks a total waste of money that’ll need to be rebuilt if they go up.
