  1. First post in this thread. I've come home to find a Laurel wreath with red and white lights stuck on the front door, sofa cover changes to red, Xmas themed cushions on the sofa and a Xmas tree setup in the living room. It's November, I actively don't celebrate Xmas, and she didn't mention this to me.
  2. Colleague was saying she didn't get why people go on forums so I showed her this ^ post as an example of the genius of P&B. She replied "her profile pic is putting me off cos I don't actually think that's her". Dele you've been rumbled son.
  3. Feel free to start any time. It is not about how legitimate or obvious your criticism is. It's about you presuming to know the mindset of the people saying it. "Large chip on their shoulder looking for any opportunity to play the race card". That's so obviously simplistic and uninformed (more obvious even than the differences between Blue Story and TDKR). Like I said, don't be a dummy...
  4. Even if it is a ridiculous comparison, that doesn't mean Gnash or you or anyone else is well placed to judge that the mindset behind it is "people with a large chip on their shoulder looking for any excuse to play the race card". The reality of being black in the UK is so different to the reality of being white in the UK. To make a statement such as that ^ is either dumb, if you fail to realise they will have been shaped by different experiences to you, or uncaring, if you don't give a f**k about that and just want to judge them according to your own perspective.
  5. This comes across as someone who quite obviously doesn't walk in those shoes but is willing to judge their mindset anyway. Don't be a dummy.
  6. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-50545658 The lad has plead guilty to conspiracy to traffic, so he knew all along what the cargo was.
  7. Fair enough, he wasn't injured last week and I hadn't seen an announcement, so assumed the manager was in a huff at his performance v DU. I thought the McCarthy sub made sense too and was purely tactical. I was just commenting on the fact he was shaking his head looking at the manager as he came off, which suggested a lack of respect for the manager's decisions. But it's no big deal.
  8. Ms Hepworth added that the question 'wasn't about Prince Andrew', but said the 'situation got in the way' of her query. 'I feel like I have stuck a knife in the royal family.' ... 'My family have been very supportive but they are joking now, calling me "Sue from Leeds" all the time!' Looooooooooooooool
  9. On BBC2 in half an hour if you haven't spotted it. Random as f**k and absolutely brilliant.
  10. I don't know if all is well or not but dropping Semple completely from the teamsheet, then McCarthy openly dissenting when subbed after 30 minutes, suggests it's not a happy dressing room.
  11. Last came up from London for the Partick Thistle game at the end of last season. Picked today as I thought it would be easier and I might see a few goals (tbf I did). Think I should probably just stay away. That was atrocious.
  12. Despite knicker wetting shouts of "rubbish" from the main stand, it's been a predictable game. They have 5 in midfield against our 3 as you often see from wee teams in cups. So we can't play through and are having to wait for through balls or Dobbie magic. Which has created a good 6 or 7 openings so far but the final touch or shot hasn't been good enough. They scored from a good delivery off a fk needlessly conceded by Brownlie. It happens. Long time to go
  13. In my experience, if I let the fact I am lethargic make me feel down or frustrated, I just become more lethargic. So I just accept it, go to the shop, buy myself some Fanta and sweets, sit on the sofa in my sleeping bag and let it pass without it making me feel worse. Not sure if that helps at all. Probably not tbh.
  14. Can you explain that one to me? Oh wait, he fucked the teacher?
  15. I was once in my room about 11 years old shitting myself in the dark and I said "if there's a ghost in here, make a tapping on the radiator", and the fucking radiator tapped.
  16. Can't think of any reason a 21 year old footballer would want to sabotage their own career by deliberately putting on weight and becoming unfit to play. Semple came to us as a hot youth prospect in an EFL Championship academy, shining on loan and getting called up to the Scotland U21s. He has since had an unsuccessful move to Ross County, got banned for eight games, been injured, and dropped down to the SPFL Championship on a free. I can understand why he might not be in the best physical condition. No-one has said it, but I would understand if he wasn't feeling great emotionally or was low in confidence, as well. People would do well to remember the blog post by David Weatherson about his own battles with injury, anxiety and confidence when he was at Palmy ten years ago. http://likeaweatherstone.blogspot.com/2018/02/hiding-nerves-and-anxiety-in-football.html?_sm_au_=iVVTBQsrdd3QFtdV34kv8KHMJK1v0 https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/feb/21/dressing-room-tough-place-depression-anxiety-david-weatherson It's good that Callum has got militant family members like @baw heid to support him.

  18. 10 March 2001 he said, so 18 years ago! Ridiculous.
