  1. He’s a Celtic fan. They know absolutely everything about football, politics and all things throughout the world. And they’re always right. Have I missed anything?
  2. Back on topic, it seem as if, to top off the hilarity of Malky Mackay becoming United's manager, the club would also have to fork out over £100,000 in compensation to the SFA. Please, please let this happen.
  3. The pie in a roll with brown sauce. I must have missed more in my youth than I realise. Although, from a personal point of view, you can shove a pie in a roll as far away from me as possible.
  4. If anyone in Kintore calls a buttery an Abereenie they should be shown the door.
  5. I think that you must have been in the North East of England.
  6. That certainly won't stop Hearts. They'll probably put up their prices.
  7. Everyone knows that there is no such thing as a rowie, they are butteries.
  8. Nice t shirt, but ingin pehs are not a thing. (By the way, I got 3 in today’s quiz too. I’m your new stalker.)
  9. I lived in Dundee from 1966 to 1983, and in the circles that I moved in, a peg was never ever part of this famous phrase. And, for the benefit of The DA you don’t get ingin pehs. Hope that’s cleared things up.
  10. No, no, no! Thrice times no! You have obviously never stayed in Dundee. The phrase is actually about bridies. (As an aside, in Aberdeenshire a birdie is called a bradie.)
  11. At least get your quote right; A plen ain an an ingin ain an ah.
  12. Just read the daily Gossip page on the BBC website and one story caught my eye. It says that Celtic are hoping to have 30,000 fans in Celtic Park by the end of August, which is obviously a helluva lot less than their season ticket total. Can I suggest that the club have an easy way to allocate these tickets. Just let everyone that turned up to home matches while Rangers were in the lower leagues have a ticket. That would then leave only 5,000 tickets to be allocated in a ballot.
  13. Serious question for older fans in here. I’ve just watched a few YouTube Pathé News videos of cup finals from the 50’s and Rangers are referred to as “Ibrox” on loads of occasions by the voice over guy. He did speak BBC English from that period and not sure if he just had no idea who he was commentating on, although he did also call Aberdeen “The Dons” loads of time, so he obviously had some knowledge. So were Rangers ever known as “Ibrox” in these good old days?
