There are two options. 1. Play the season to a finish within government guidelines, with matches being able to restart on 1st August at the earliest. With UEFA needing the names of the different countries teams of all European competitions by 3rd August, and the qualifiers starting on 20th August, Scotland would have had no teams in either the Champions League or the Europa League 2020/21. 2. Do as we're doing. Which would you choose?

And going on that this has all been brought on by clubs self interest. Neither Cowan nor Cosgrove asked Murray if he felt that Hearts were doing what they’re doing through self interest.

I will start by saying that as a programme overall, I like Off The Ball. However, at the start of every show since the leagues were called Cowan has gone on and on about, regardless that the leagues have been called, playing all of the leagues to a finish whenever we can. Nobody has had a go at him about this nonsense , and in particular the fact that Motherwell would not be in the Europa League qualifiers which start on August 14th. He is a balloon.

Last night’s Edinburgh derbies Sportscene was superb. Regardless of who’s playing I love watching matches from the early seventies, but there seems to be little TV coverage left from these days, so it was great to see the 7.0 match last night. It was also interesting to see from the Easter Road match from 2000 that Hearts supporters had started their boycott of away matches away back then.

You could actually take this a stage further and say that Hearts accept that Celtic are champions after a 30 game season and deserve their £3.35m prize money, but that they think that they deserve prize money of £8m for being the worst team in the league after a 30 game season. Let’s hope that the SPFL defence team have their wits about them.

This argument is not about what you think. In their statement regarding the potential court case on Wednesday, Hearts stated that they accept that the teams in second, third and fourth places take up the European slots. They stated that they are not looking to change the monies that have been paid out to clubs for where they finished in a 30 game season. So they have publicly stated that they accept what every club deserves from 11 of the 12 league positions after a 30 game season. Why?

Why? And not only that, but Hearts have also said that they are not disputing the teams that finished in second, third and fourth after a 30 game season take up the European slots. Why?

Hearts, apparently, are not disputing that after a 30 game season, Celtic are champions. Why would they then dispute that after a 30 game season, the bottom team should be relegated?
