  1. I'm presuming that Rangers are paying Neil McCann this afternoon. What a Rangers fanboy.
  2. Neil McCann being totally embarrassing in going on and on at the Elgin chairman to agree with the Rangers proposal, even when it was perfectly clear that he wanted to bin it.
  3. That's just having a go at Tom English for the sake of it. Aberdeen fans, myself included, were saying the same thing!
  4. I was thinking that as well. I remember it looking a lot bigger than that.
  5. Among lots of other things, it’s the way that Rangers want to blatantly buy their reserve team into what would be League 1, that really sticks in my throat. I’ve no great confidence that Aberdeen would vote against this, but I would be banging their door down to make sure that they know who much I would be against this abomination.
  6. It would have nothing to do with the SFA or, more correctly, the SPFL. Everyone would have to satisfy the government, and only the government. If clubs can’t do that, then presumably they wouldn’t be allowed to train. There is of course the possibility that the Scottish government will have less stringent criteria than the UK government, but I wouldn’t bet on that..
  7. Very eye opening interview with Michael O'Neill on today's Sportsound podcast regarding what Stoke City players and staff have to go through at training most days. The Scottish government may set up different rules/criteria for each club up here, but more likely to be more stringent if anything. Zero chance that any part time club would be able to get training up and running.
  8. I presume that you’re having a laugh here. If you’re not, Hearts.
  9. Bloody hell, don’t annoy them. Did you not know that, as Stuart Cosgrove keeps reminding everyone, the Saintees finished in the top six with the average points per game scenario. Although when there wasn’t any post split fixtures, I’ve no idea why that’s such a big thing.
  10. Which is one reason that the SPFL couldn’t restart season 2019/20 on 1st August or even later. They couldn’t take the chance that the season would finish too late for Scottish clubs to be in European competitions.
  11. The SPFL have called the league seasons. The SFA have said that they will do everything to finish the Scottish Cup. Makes perfect sense to me. Who cares if it’s different players, it’s the clubs that are in the semi finals.
  12. Not sure what agenda I have, but you have said that you feel that the remaining League games should have been played. This would have meant that no Premiership clubs would have received their final league placing payment. And, as the government have said that no matches can be played before 1st August at the earliest, that would also have meant that Scotland would not have been able to nominate their European competition representatives for next season. So, without putting any words into your mouth, would you have accepted that?
  13. Maybe I did, I can’t remember what I posted yesterday, never mind before then.
  14. To save Bennett from posting any more shite , here is his take on things. All games should have been played no matter what, at any date in the future no matter when. The absolute earliest that these games from last season could have started, under government regulations, would have been 1st August but that date is not guaranteed. If the matches had started on 1st August then Bennett would presumably be happy that Scotland would not have been able to put forward any teams for next season’s European competitions. Bennett also doesn’t think that three Scottish Cup matches can be played at any time, even though there are absolutely no date restrictions on this competition being completed, so could even be played after the start of next season’s competition.
  15. It was agreed weeks ago that matches can be shown at 3.00 on a Saturday during this crisis.
  16. A few things here. “The games could easily have been played” - on what universe? ”one team had to have their way” - I presume that you’re referring to Motherwell cheating their way to third. (third with an asterisk forever) One team that are obviously happy that the season was called early is Rangers, due to the fact that they only ended up 13 points behind Celtic rather the totally embarrassing 20 odd that it would have been if the games had all been played.
  17. They put both Panathanaikos and Fiorentina out of the tournament before beating Celtic ...not bad for a works team If you check out the YouTube clip, you’ll see that it wasn’t Celtic that they beat, it was Glasgow.
  18. No idea what point you’re trying to get across here, but the Motherwell v Aberdeen match had the date changed to Friday March 13th by the SPFL on 22nd November 2019, almost 4 months before the match was due to be played. Does that fit your criteria of “short notice”?
