Grado and Jon Snow as the new centre half pairing?

Cheers @FairWeatherFan
Now who in their right mind would get into bed with a set up like that...... Oh.

I honestly think that's at the wilder end of the spectrum,
Afraid my cynical nature tends more towards @Silverton End
For the life of me I cannot see why a tiny LL team with a support numbered in the dozens would pay to leave Glasgow to rent a League ground that has a reputation (deserved) for having probably the worst pitch in the professional leagues.
Surely there are cheaper Astros available from WoSL sides closer to their geographic 'home' at a much cheaper rate.
At best, we've grabbed at an offer of cold hard cash coming in for 5 years without much thought. I find that doubtful though.
Too much just doesn't add up. And the radio silence you mention doesn't exactly help either.

The whole thing is that nonsensical that I'm actually concerned there is something more sinister going on in the background that we are just not seeing yet.

It absolutely wont be. A decent plastic pitch costs about half a million to lay. Hamilton spent 750k laying an upgraded one in 2018 and that was with all the previous groundwork already done for their previous one so you could be looking at even more than the regularly quoted 500k.
Would also require the 'dip' to be fixed at away end stand side corner flag. That, I would imagine, would add to the cost considerably.

I just hope we got the funds up front.

Buchanan goes with best wishes.
Given his age, he's probably only got one good contract opportunity left. He's got a young family etc so he's got to look after number one. With the state we are currently in, I very much doubt we'll be splashing the cash so he's quite right to follow the money on the back of his team of the year place.
Next season is giving me the fear.

I've heard the hire to Rangers was worth £1500 per game and amounted to a decent share of the clubs income.
Hard to knock back for a club short on cash or looking to compete for good players.
Flip side is, had we won the league (and I'm not saying the pitch was the deciding factor but it certainly didn't help) then the £20k or so would have been dwarfed by the extra prize money and bigger away supports next year.
If we had a plastic pitch then I would probably be perfectly fine with it. Can't believe anyone would want to pay to play on our Passchendaele of a pitch anyway!

For those who live near the ground - is any pitch maintenance appearing to take place now the season is over? Or are we just going to fork it and hope a couple of bags of Aftercut will do the trick?

Would like to see us go in for Bevan and maybe Sonkur, now that Albion Rovers have gone.
A bit harsh. The body isn't even cold yet.....
I think Bevan would cost money so that would rule him out I'd imagine..

Very minor in the great scheme of things I know.....
But the latest club tweet has 50% off the away kit which would mean we'll get a replacement for it in new season with white kit remaining. Which is fair enough.

Having made the 200+ mile round trip on Tuesday to watch that capitulation (6-0 flattered us), I'll be doing the previously unthinkable and not going on Saturday to watch us in a play off.
I was willing to give Farrell a chance this season but we were so shambolic on Tuesday it's clear a wholesale change is needed.

Badly written porn. On a fairly new but opinionated account pertaining to be female.
I wonder.....

How about a wee limited run gold third/European shirt using a standard template to keep unit cost down? Just so there is at least some cashflow coming through.

Clearly this is our latest cunning ploy to annoy Stirling Albion fans. With the sun shining we can't get away with flooding the pitch again.
Now our evil masterminds are lulling you into buying streams that you won't be able to watch.
The seethe will be delicious.

Thanks @BallochSonsFan and @O'Kelly Isley III
I'm probably not alone in letting my trust membership slide for no other reason than the usual procrastination.
Worth putting a membership link on here so folk like me can rejoin?

Can anyone please confirm if they have had their payment confirmed or is it “pending” for you as well?
Original debit still in pending .
The lack of email meant I wasn't convinced so tried again later with different card and got through process in about 10 mins. Confirmation email arrived instantly.
I'd go with no email = no confirmed order.

Trying to get the box set this morning.
40 mins to get to payment stage only to be told there was an error. However, funds showing as debited from my bank. No confirmation email yet.
A mess.

Particularly some nugget in the middle of our stand who spent 90 minutes screaming over and over that the ref should go back to the juniors.
The level of vitriol he kept up the entire game was astounding.

@PWL did you not have something similar?
Aye. Almost identical story. Was Macklin motors with a Qashqai - which are basically Panzers . 2 services and 2 MOTs at local garage and a visit to Kwik Fit for a puncture later and no one else has 'noticed' the apparently critical issue...

Not a surprise given the temp today but it's the lack of even a hint that it was a doubt that's annoyed me more. I live closer to Stirling than Dumbarton so was just getting my jacket on when I glanced at my phone by chance and saw it was off.
I know it's the refs call but really poor from club not to at least warn.

Just started the Bono autobiography - Surrender which I'm enjoying a lot more than I thought I would.
Went for the Audible version which I know is cheating but works well with him reading out his own words.

The website just feels unfinished with the only working feature being the news articles.
Whilst that was acceptable for the first couple of days, it's certainly not now. Nor does it appear to be set up to render to mobiles which I'm guessing where the majority of views come from.
The comment about losing revenue is a valid one. Player Sponsorship page (assuming you can find it) doesn't work so immediately it creates a barrier to people handing over cash. These kind of things should be made as easy as possible.
